Fits in a Lexus UX
Jay from San Leandro, CA on 6/22/2025
Installed these in a 2020 Lexus UX250h F SPORT with the base 6-speaker premium audio system. These speakers fit perfectly in the front door, as long as you have an 8-inch speaker adapter. I got my adapter by 3d printing an 8-inch Mazda Bose front door adapter. All it needed was extend the mounting holes and it fits perfectly. Comparing to Pioneer's 6.5-inch Z-series component speakers these are much better if you are not looking to upgrade every part of your audio system. The 8-inch is a must if you want even some bass without a subwoofer. But of course, adding a sub makes it even better. Running these on the stock head unit without any aftermarket amp, these speakers put out an acceptable loudness without any issues. Great upgrade from the base 6-speaker premium audio.
Pros: Affordable. Great value. Excellent sound quality. Provides much better bass than 6.5-inch
Cons: Woofers are not full-range. Although bass is there, treble is weak in the woofers.

Great Direct Replacement for Mazda Miata
Austin from INDIANAPOLIS, IN on 6/5/2025
These alpines sound amazing, and though Crutchfield's fitment guide says that these will not fit either the base or Bose sound systems in NB Miatas, I can confirm that these fit perfectly -- no drilling, shaving, etc. needed. I installed these in a 2003 NB2 Miata SE (base audio system) without any issue. The tweeters also fit quite nicely once you remove the factory ones, and you can use the factory mounting brackets to secure them back to the door panels. An amplifier then fits nicely underneath the rear parcel shelf. If you're looking for a set of speakers for your miata, I would highly recommend! Highs and mids sound clean and clear, and these speakers are capable of putting out a nice lower end that, for the purpose of the miata, saved me from having to put a subwoofer in the trunk as well.
Pros: Great fitment, great sound, nice package, good materials

2001 Mazda Miata
The page for these speakers says they will not fit the lower front door of a 2001 Mazda Miata with the Bose audio system, but that is not correct. They do fit. The factory Bose speakers are 8 inch, and these 8 inch speakers are a bolt in replacement. No cutting/drilling needed. The tweeters are not bolt-in, but they are not difficult to install. I used a piece of wide plastic zip-tie with a coupe of holes drilled in it and some hot glue to secure the tweeters. See photos. I have an aftermarket head unit (Alpine iLX-507) and I bypassed the Bose amp and installed a different amp (AudioControl ACM-2.300) under the driver seat. All in all, these are a good easy replacement for the factory Bose speakers.
