About the Crime Guard AL-100C
If your car has a factory keyless entry system, it's simple to add protection with Crime Guard's AL-100C add-on alarm. Once you've wired the AL-100C into your vehicle (extra relays may be required), you'll enjoy full-featured antitheft protection that you control with your factory keyless entry transmitters.
When you use your factory transmitter to lock the doors, the AL-100C automatically arms. The starter disable engages, and the horn chirps to confirm the armed status. Unlock your doors with the transmitter, and the AL-100C automatically disarms. If the alarm is triggered, the car's horn (or an optional siren) will sound, and the parking lights will flash.
Valet Mode allows you to turn off all the "alarm" functions, while retaining the use of the keyless entry. The AL-100C also features a plug-in port for easy installation of an optional shock sensor.
Simplify your alarm installation with Crime Guard's quick interconnect harnesses. (To check harness availability for your vehicle, call one of our expert Sales Advisors toll-free at 1-888-955-6000.)

Features
Dimensions
Compatibility: This system is designed specifically for vehicles equipped with a factory keyless entry system, but it can be set up for passive operation, which allows it operate in vehicles without a factory keyless entry system. When used with a factory keyless entry system, the alarm can be activated and deactivated using the factory keyless entry remotes. When programmed for passive operation, the alarm can be armed/disarmed using only your vehicle's door pin and ignition switches. No remotes are included, or available, for this alarm.
Relays
Door Locks: This alarm is made to be controlled by factory keyless entry systems, but additional features are available (see "Door Lock Outputs" in the "Features" section for more information) when you use the door lock outputs of this alarm. If you're not using a Crime Guard quick interconnect door lock harness
or another Crime Guard adapter, 2-relays may be needed to control your vehicle's
power door locks.
Features Compatibility with Quick
Interconnect Harnesses: This alarm is compatible with
Crime Guard (Omega) quick interconnect harnesses. When available for your
vehicle, a
Crime Guard (Omega) quick interconnect harness can be used to greatly simplify
your alarm install; quick interconnect harnesses plug into your factory wiring,
so you'll have to splice into fewer wires. Active and Passive Operation Modes: The system may be set up to arm and
disarm in response to your vehicle being locked and unlocked using your factory
keyless entry remotes, or it may be set up so arming and disarming is done
without input from a keyless entry system (passive operation). When programmed
for passive operation, the system will arm whenever you exit the car after
turning off the ignition, and it will disarm after you enter the vehicle and
turn on the ignition. Starter Interrupt Protection:
When the system is armed, the included starter interrupt relay will prevent the
vehicle from starting. Door Lock Outputs: Although
this system is made to work with factory keyless entry systems, the door lock
outputs can be used to provide additional features. If a
Crime Guard (Omega) quick interconnect doorlock harness, or another Crime Guard
doorlock adapter, is not used, relays may be required (relays sold separately).
When the doorlock outputs of this alarm are connected to your factory power lock
system: Valet Mode: The valet mode turns the alarm functions off, allowing a person without a keyless entry remote or code for
your vehicle to operate it without interference from the alarm. While the alarm
is in valet mode, the keyless entry system is unaffected, so the system can be
used as normal, if desired. Power-Maze Protection: If a
thief cuts the alarm's power wire, the Power-Maze circuit provides protection by
triggering the alarm system as soon as the ignition circuit is hot-wired or
receives power. Plug-in Port for Optional Sensor: A port is provided to accept the connector from
an optional Crime Guard dual-zone sensor. When used with a dual-zone sensor, the
alarm will give warning chirps for minor disturbances, and it will will go into
full alert mode when a major disturbance is detected. Output
for Optional
Siren: In addition to the output provided to sound the horn of your
vehicle, this alarm includes an output for an optional siren. The horn and siren
outputs can be used simultaneously to bring more attention to your vehicle, or
you may use either output alone. Alarm Condition Recall Memory:
If
the system enters an alarm condition, the LED will begin to flash in sequence to indicate
which zone caused the trigger; the recall memory circuit can store two consecutive zone
violations (if there has been more than two zones violated, the memory will recall the two
most recent violations). The LED will flash once then pause when triggered by an
optional sensor, three times then pause for a hood or trunk violation or four times then pause for a
door circuit or current sensing violation. Programmable Features: The
following features are easily
programmed using switches on the rear panel of the control module: Alarm Brain (with harnesses
connected): W=3.66", L=3.545", D=1.075"
