One of the easiest remote starts I have installed. The auto learn feature makes the process easy and the wiring information supplied by Crutchfield made finding the correct wires a breeze. This was installed on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee and worked perfectly!

Crutchfield appears to outsource tech support for remote start installs. It can take days to get help. I finally decided started the install, but the vague details started bothering me after I had 4 wires hooked up. I removed the 4 wires and the vehicle will not crank. Looks like a tow truck to the dealership tomorrow. Glad I tried to save a few dollars.

We're sorry you had issues with the remote start system, Russ. Our Tech Support Advisors are not outsourced. They all work directly for Crutchfield and are based in Virginia. Due to its often intricate nature, remote start systems usually require some specialized help. We actually have a smaller group of Advisors that are trained to handle questions on these systems. It appears Austin, one of the members of this group, received a callback from Russ in under 24 hours from his first contact. Austin tried to assist in resetting the truck, since the remote start system would not work.
