Soundstream Reserve's HDVision-V2 wireless rearview camera integrates nicely into your Harley-Davidson, cleverly hidden in a replacement brake light. The camera pairs with the included receiver module, which plugs into the camera input on the Soundstream Reserve V2 motorcycle receiver, giving you a high-resolution view from the rear when you need it. Best of all, the wireless camera gets its power from the brake light wiring, so installation is very simple.

Compatible radios

The camera should be paired with Soundstream Reserve's V2 receiver, which is capable of reproducing its high-resolution (720p) picture. It'll also work with any radio with a high-resolution RCA video input.

Installing this camera yourself? Here's what you should know.

What does it do? Unless otherwise noted, a backup camera is only intended for use backing up your vehicle. (If you require a front-view or constant rear-view camera, check for that capability.)

How much wiring is required? Wiring instructions vary from camera to camera. Some cameras have power wiring that can only be connected near the radio. Others let you power the camera at compatible reverse lights. In all cases, the camera must be wired for power and ground, the camera's video output must be connected to the radio/monitor, and the radio/monitor must be connected to a reverse trigger in your vehicle. Some radio replacement interfaces supply a reverse trigger wire for the radio -- using that wire to power your camera will damage the interface.

Compatibility: The Soundstream Reserve HDVision-V2 is a wireless rearview camera system designed specifically for installation in select 2010-2023 Harley-Davidson Street Glide and Road Glide motorcycles equipped with a rear fender brake light bar.

Replacement Brake Lights: The HDVision-V2 camera system includes two replacement brake lights - one with a wireless HD (720p) camera built into it. Both brake lights include built-in harnesses that connect directly to the factory Harley-Davidson light sockets, providing power and ground. The camera is wireless and must be paired to the included wireless receiver.

Weatherproof: The Soundstream HDVision-V2 Wireless Camera System is IPX6 rated for all-weather use.

Wireless Receiver: The HDVision-V2 system includes a wireless receiver that can be mounted near your compatible headunit, providing the HD video signal to it. The wireless receiver outputs a 720p AHD (Analog High-Definition) video signal on a composite video connector and must be connected to a compatible headunit with an HD composite video input, such as the Soundstream Reserve V2 receiver (sold separately). The wireless receiver features an attached 8" power/ground connector along with a 5" adapter harness that's designed to connect directly into the power/ground output harness on select Soundstream Reserve headunits. If connecting to another model/brand of monitor headunit, the harness can be cut off and the power and ground wires attached directly to the headunit's power and ground or the vehicle electrical system. A Pairing button and two LED indicators (Pairing & Connected) on the wireless receiver let you easily pair the module to the brake light camera.

Notes:

The Soundstream HDVision-V2 camera system outputs a 720p AHD (Analog High-Definition) signal on a composite video cable and must be connected to a monitor with a compatible HD composite video input on it.
If connecting the camera system to a monitor headunit other than a compatible Soundstream Reserve one, the power and ground connector will need to be cut off and the wires directly spliced to the electrical system.
