Well-made shelf

Bought this shelf to accompany my Synergy 345 cabinet. The shelf itself is of good quality and exactly matches the previous shelves. The frames and slides are very well made and the shelf slides like butter once everything is adjusted and leveled. I didn't want to remove the cabinet top so I used the included hardware that fits in the tube slots and rotates. These were a bit of work and time-consuming as it was awkward using the limited space inside the cabinet. But, all-in-all, the install wasn't too bad and the shelf functions perfectly for my turntable. Recommended.

Stereo cabinet

Very happy with the shelf and more so with the cabinet, I use this with a new Technics SL 1500C and it works great. You will spend some time laying in the cabinet to get the shelf level but other than that it works great.

2 stars because i had to contact Salamander to get install info. They released a batch that had the rails improperly installed. Easy fix they told me, just unscrew the rails and orient them the opposite way. It worked but for this price point they should have caught it. Additionally, this does flex under weight. Not as rock solid as I was expecting. Still decent product.

Perfect solution for my turntable. Now I can store my turntable in the cabinet instead of on top of my cabinet creating clutter.

Turntable shelf

Well designed cabinet shelf. Holds my turntable without having to take the lid off. Did not come with mounting directions - had to get those online.

Cons: A little tricky mounting the infinite location hardware.

Fails to work with a turntable with dust cover. The drawer fails to pull out far enough to allow a dust cover to swing out. These types of dust covers usually require an additional 2" of clearance. This product will not work with them. Salamander's solution - place the turntable at your ankles to allow enough clearance. Yeah, like that's really convenient to swap and drop a needle at your ankles. If you don't use a dust cover, then works fine. Good mechanism.

Excellent shelf and works perfectly

This shelf has worked out really well for me. I was initially concerned that I wouldn't be able to open the dust cover on my turntable. However once installed, I found that I was able to slide the shelf out far enough to fully access the turntable. This also allows the top of my media center to remain clean and uncluttered by placing the turntable in the cabinet and behind a door. I'm very pleased with this shelf, and for the money (though it is a bit expensive), it keeps the girlfriend very happy by keeping the media room less cluttered. ***The shelf is a bit stiff. You'll pull the shelf out and it feels like it will not slide any further. Firmly grasp it and pull a little harder and the shelf will extend further. I'm hoping that it loosens up a bit with additional usage.***.
Pros: The full extension of the shelf allows a turntable w/ dustcover to be fully accessed while being stored inside the cabinet when not in use. Fairly easy to install.
Cons: The shelf is a bit difficult to slide. This may lessen with more usage. A bit pricey.
