Have a lot of patience ready before you try to assemble this. Make sure you've inserted every part necessary in the slotted columns or the top will have to be removed to insert them later. Mine came with 2 'extra' panels shown no where in the instructions. It turns out they are interior side panels. Off comes the top to slide those down slots in the columns. The instructions aren't the greatest. Adjusting the shelves takes awhile also. Back panels were warped but you can't see them from the front. I did like the finished product.
Pros: Sturdy, looks good, adjustable shelves.

The quality of the materials used is very good. The packaging during shipment were amongst the best I have ever seen. All in all, I think the price for this is high, but can't question the utility and finish.

A nice looking AV console

Bought this last summer when it was on sale, my model looks like the one illustrated. Always loved brown and black. Got the Saturn wheels, which is a must have for getting behind the unit, and later bought two fan backs. A five ft long power strip fits behind my gear, everything looks neat and clean, not like some electronics shop blew up. The drawer came in its own box, put it in the closet. This unit is very flexible, will fit any combination of gear.. Finally my audio and video gear fit together.
Pros: Well made, can be configured into just about any format

solidly built, beautiful wood. men that see it love it. women, not so much. too industrial looking perhaps? a little bit of a challenge to assemble by myself but manageable. back panels come off/on easily to mess with the wiring.

Nice but pricey

A/V stand arrived quickly and very well prepared for shipment. We got the dark walnut with black aluminum posts. The wood color is a warm, rich walnut. Nice contrast with the black posts, shelves, etc. It is extremely well designed. Assembly was easy, but the instructions do not completely fit the 236 unit purchased, and some parts have been updated but are not reflected in the instructions. Once assembled, the piece is very sturdy. Shelf width and depth worked perfectly for my components. It is a nice looking, functional unit, and fits our 75" Sony perfectly. However, I think it is too pricey, and does not look like an expensive piece of furniture.

Salamander Designs Synergy 236 is extremely well made and look great as well. I first purchased one about 12 years ago for a 32" inch TV (Synergy Model 402) and its still is use and looks like new. Salamander Designs A/V furniture is well worth the price and will last a lifetime with proper care.
Pros: Very well made. Drawers and doors work evenly and smoothly. Looks great after many years of use.

Everything was shipped complete and when promised. Had a problem with a part that was not manufactured correctly. Crutchfield and then Salamander took care of it quickly replacing it this furniture will work perfect for use

Excellent adjustable home theater cabinet

Solid product, very well crafted and easy to assemble - though it will take a while to do it. Make note of the depth of your components and account for space needed for rear wiring (I'll be ordering the extended panels). The soft close attachments for the hinges are a nice touch. Expertly packed and arrived without a single blemish. The "wood" top and bottom has a great finish, but is a little soft and can see it getting easily scratched or dented. Just take care of it and this should last a very long time. The shelves are infinitely adjustable, just as described. Added 3 extra shelves and was able to have them the exact height I needed for all my components. My advisor, Hunter, was great to work with, as were the entire Crutchfield team. Really appreciate the quality product at a great price.
Pros: Great looking modular, expandable, adjustable, well crafted unit.
Cons: would prefer it deeper, but can be over come by extended panels.

Simply the best

The product arrived in good condition all hardware present, easy to assemble. Everything fit excellent, very happy with the finished product.
