Q
hi, i have a 95 camaro. it has aftermarket pioneer door speakers, but still has the factory delco bose speaker in the rear. i installed a pioneer single din cd receiver. i have sound to the door speakers but that is all. if i buy one of these devices, even if i only have factory speakers in the rear, will it work for those? and just keep it connected as normal to the door speakers? thanks! franco in texas

A
Greetings Franco. Thank you for your question. This is the recommended wiring interface for a 95 Camaro with Bose to retain all the factory speakers. If any of the factory Bose speakers is replaced, all the speakers, and stereo would need to be replaced. Re wired as well.

Q
I have a 94 Camaro with a three speaker Bose system, I want to replace the speakers and head unit. Do I need this interface? Will I still be able to run the sub woofer? Or just the speakers in the doors.

The PAC ROEM-GM21 interface is needed when replacing the radio with an aftermarket option that fits your Camaro, John. You'll also need a dash kit and antenna adapter, and we pair those items together with your radio purchase to make sure you have everything you need! Make sure to use our online Vehicle Guide in the link below when you build your radio package. The factory Bose amplifier and speakers are retained with the PAC interface. The factory system uses amplified speakers that only work with the Bose radio or PAC interface and aftermarket radio. If you replace or upgrade any of the factory Bose speakers, you'll have to replace the entire system. If you need any help choosing which path to take or getting your radio package together and placing your order, do not hesitate to call us at 1-800324-9695 and a live Advisor would be happy to help! https://www.crutchfield.com/m_266150/Car-Stereos.html

Q
I just wired a radio in for my camaro and it comes on with no sound is this a special harness that plug and play that will solve my no sound problem?

A
Greetings Ray, and thank you for your question. I would question, is it the right harness for your Camaro. If its is verified by our website, and you have no sound, I'm thinking your vehicle may have a factory amplifier that is not turning on like it should. Double check your wire connections. If you purchased the PAC wiring interface from Crutchfield, you can call our tech support line for assistance. Their number would be on your shipping confirmation email from us. If you purchased the PAC adapter elsewhere, you can call PAC as well for wiring help. If you want to double check to see if in fact you have the right wire adapter, you can call one of our advisors at 800-324-9695.

Q
Is this necessary to use when installing aftermarket 6 1/2" speakers in place of the factory Bose?
david  Sep 16, 2022
1 answer
A
This interface would be only if you were replacing the radio in the select years of vehicles it covers, David. This is the essential piece to the puzzle that will allow you to keep your Bose amp with your new radio! If you are having any issues with install of gear you got from us, make sure and give us a call at 1-888-292-2575 and our Technical Support Specialists can help if you need!

Q
Will this allow me to keep my bose speakers in my 95 camaro z28 with an aftermarket head unit?

A
Yes that is the wiring harness we recommend to interface an aftermarket radio with the factory Bose system in those '95 Camaros. We include it (along with dash kit and antenna adapter) at a discounted price when you purchase a radio. If you have questions, or want help selecting a new radio, you can connect with one of our friendly product advisors for live support here: https://www.crutchfield.com/I-rET1c290/S-SUliZgSTXG7/support/ContactUs.aspx

Yes, I just did a swap on my 1993 Z28 with Bose speakers and everything works great. Also, if you're looking for a new head unit, don't get a full size double din, you'll want a slim double din to fit.
