Install made easy
David from Brooklyn, NY on 6/17/2025
2023 Ford Maverick
This harness is spot on! Easy to use and, made install a breeze. No need to cut into the factory harness. I used it to install a Wavetech 500.4 amp on a 23 Ford Maverick with its stock headunit. There are no after market stereos for this vehicle. Crutchfield advices not to change anyway.Used with Crutchfields 9 wire cable I had purchased a while back for wiring amps. The Maverick has ample room to lay this harness inside its space without having to shove or "stuff" the wires tightly. Do get the connector kit, Item #669PP608, for your install, it'll make installation much easier. Again I used this to install an aftermarket amp, along with Alpine speakers, to the factory stereo. This truck now has a rockin audio system!

Keep It Factory!

Simple solution to add an aftermarket Amplifier to your O.E. infotainment system. Its literally a plug and ply type of install. The hardest part of the install was gaining access to the head units connectors but Crutchfield provide you with step by step technical documentation to help you with the install. Highly recommend this T-Harness for your specific vehicle if you decide to keep the the O.E Infotainment system.
Pros: Keep all your options that come with your vehicle & easy to install
Cons: Be aware when routing T-Harness wires .

Works as expected. I could technically just cut the wires and make my own splice buy my time is money and this thing is easy.Plus I can remove any trace of having aftermarket equipment from the vehicle if I wanted to be that emotional about it. I'd buy another if I had the need for it. Just made adding an amp simpler and guaranteed results.

Cheaper than Plug-n-Play kits - works just as well
Benjamen from Kaneohe, HI on 4/13/2025
2024 Ford Bronco
The harness with extension kit worked great. I would have given it a 5-star rating but for one thing - the basic harness is long enough to splice in but you'll want the extension kit to give you an extra 6"-12" if you mount the amp under the steering column. It the basic harness was just slightly longer, it would have been plug-n-play versus paying an extra $50 for 12" of harness (Bronco).
Pros: Cheaper than pnp kits. Offers flexible mounting solutions.
Cons: Was ~12" too short to work without requiring the extension kit.

Must have to maintain original wiring and make connections to factory unit much easier. You will need female RCA connectors to wire in if you plan on using RCA speaker cables. Crutchfield tech support very helpful answering all my questions!
Pros: Nice design Easy connection to factory plugs
Cons: Do need to wire in connectors for speaker wires

If you are using this for a 2024 f150 with the 12 inch screen you do not need to take the entire dash apart. Just take out the center speaker and everything can be installed from the top of the dash.
Pros: Easier than splitting wires yourself.
Cons: The hot wire with ground and remote turn on does not work

Dont do it.
David from New Orleans, LA on 2/28/2025
2024 Ford Bronco
Do not buy this harness unless you have some knowledge of how to build out a complete harness. There are other options for a bit more money that are much easier as the harness is built as plug and play. THIS IS NOT PLUG AND PLAY. I was led to believe by Crutchfield that this would be no problem to get to work. Not at all the case if you've got no experience with a harness. Just go buy one that is fully built for whatever you need it to do.
Pros:
Cons: VERY difficult to deal with if you have never built out a harness.

This worked great. It was plug and play. I spent hours and hours trying to figure out the wiring in a 2022 Ford Explorer Timberline Edition to be able to hook up an aftermarket amp and a dual powered sub box and I could not get it right for the life of me. This took me 10 min. I wish I would've went this route right away.
Pros: Quick. Easy. Convenient.

Super easy, to use, once I was able to access the wires located behind the dash. Removing some of the Bronco panels were a bit tricky, trying to not break any tabs or clips. Much easier and faster than splicing and soldering. Absolutely love the sound upgrade it helped make with the JBL Bass Pro Nano.

Imagine if you will. A way to get the most out of your factory radio, adding clean undistorted volume with ZERO wires cut from factory harness. This Harness allows someone to hook up an aftermarket AMP (suggest DSP amp) to factory and again without cutting ANY WIRES! Thanks Crutchfield! Once again you make a shade tree 12 volt moron into a m genius.
Pros: Everything Top off no issues hearing Radio any longer .
Cons: The Ford Bronco factory radio is extremely tiresome to get to. But more than worth it when completed.

2023 Ford Maverick
This is a must have when adding a DSP and/or AMP when upgrading your audio system. Don't buy anywhere else. The instructions were also clear. This is only minus one star, because the harness doesn't support the tweeters and front doors as separate wires.
Pros: easy install wiring diagram and instructions where easy to follow
Cons: Does not separate tweeters and front door speakers wires

Installed in 2023 F150 XLT. Non amplified. Easy to plug into factory acm. Ran front signal wires to AudioControl lc-1.800 paired with 2 jl audio 10w3v3. Sounds great. Will eventually use it to also run a AudioControl D-6.1200 and upgrade all door speakers as well.
Pros: Easy to install.
Cons: Not really a con for me but inside the dash where you plug it in is a little tighter than what they make it seem in the youtube videos I've watched.

Excellent Harness for non-amplified Ford F150!
Justin from Lake Charles, LA on 10/3/2023
2023 Ford F-150
This is a great T-harness for my 2023 Ford F-150 with the base stereo (non-amplified)! Gives you the option to add just a sub, or to hit all speaker wires for a multi channel setup like in my situation. In addition to the harness I ordered two 20ft lengths of Crutchfield 9-conducter wire to make the loop back harness complete (send 8-speaker wires, 4-pair from the factory ACM to the high-level input side of my multi-channel amp, and another run of 8-speaker wires from my multi-channel amp back to the ACM harness to connect output side of my amp to the factory wiring for the door speakers) 17ft of length for each is all you need to reach behind the back seat on the drivers side. You will also need load resistors (audio control AC-LGD-20 for non-amplified factory system) in order to retain all features of your factory head unit. The load resistors trick the system into thinking it sees the factory speaker load still connected. I also connected to the power/ground extension of the harness for turn on leads for my DSP. For this I used 2 runs of 18awg OFC primary wire that I had laying around.
Pros: Versatility! Connect either just a sub amp, or add the included speaker wire adapters to tap all of the high level speaker wires for adding a multi channel amp or full system with ease!
Cons: None so far.

A real time saver and you don't have to cut into your wiring harness. Hardest part of job was removing the trim panels. The control module is in the very right rear quarter panel of the 2023 Explorer, once you get the tie down bolt out you can loosen the panel enough to access and install the harness you don't have to remove panel.
Pros: Harness saver Easy to install 4 channel amp or subwoofer amp
Cons: None
