Love the unit but had to add spacers to the back of the head unit to bring it forward in order to mount the screen

So I purchased this system primarily for the enhanced info system and Android auto, along with the GPS and better sound. Installation was pretty easy. Going along with the instructions and watching the video, which are out of sync by the way. Upon installation, I discovered that the vehicle information system was not included. Even after doing an update, vehicle info and android auto still didn't work. In fact, vehicle info wasn't even available. I spoke to tech support multiple times and got different answers each time. One set of techs said it was just a faulty wire. Then when I spoke with someone one the phone, they told me that if my jeep didn't already have vehicle info, it wouldn't have it now. The same with the pitch and roll feature. And the Android auto. So I ask...... What did I spend this much money on? The sound was marginally better. Not enough to explain the cost. I even went through the description several times to see if it mentioned ANYTHING about needing to already have the features to use them on the new system and I came up empty. Might want to reword the description to mention that. Zero starts.

CarPlay works. Navigation works. The radio works. It has nothing Jeep related and it won't let me update the firmware. I have followed the firmware update instructions on multiple different working USB drives and none of them show a file that the radio recognizes. Crap! Without the Jeep stuff, it's just a really expensive radio. Crap!
Pros: CarPlay to an older vehicle
Cons: Should come ready to go and not need upgrades right from the start.

2016 Jeep Wrangler
OK, this stereo is AMAZING! My 2016 Jeep JK Rubicon came with the factory Alpine9 stereo system. Sounded pretty good, for stock. I've NEVER had a stock stereo system for more than a month. After installing the Stinger Heigh10, I was blown away! This thing seriously brought the system to life. My wife accused me of replacing the speakers, and adding amps. I was worried about the stock 9"X11" stock Alpine (weird) sub. Figured I'd replace it. Oh man, going from the stock 3 band EQ, to a REAL 15 band EQ, HUGE difference. I can't tell you how great it sounds. Super happy with this install. Looks great, works great, sounds even better. Android Auto works great, SiriusXm works great. On a different note....adding backgrounds, and doing firmware updates, is so easy, it's unbelievable. Definitely easier than the Alpine in my TJ. If you are considering upgrading to the Stinger Heigh10, DO IT! Thank me later.

Looks great installed in the vehicle. Screen is not as high-res as they make it out to be. Rear camera video is not crisp but low-res. Replaced camera thinking that was the issue - was not. Still low res image. Replaced head unit (entire radio and wires) - still didn't fix the issue. Install directions are mediocre - watch the YouTube video for more detail. Hooking up the wires, etc. is the easy part - actually getting this unit into the dash and the screen installed took almost as long as the rest of the install. Would not purchase again. Auto dimming did not work on either unit I had (despite having that setting on). Need to manually dim the screen at night. Inconvenient. Sounds good though.

Not exactly plug and play but between Crutchfield Tech support and YouTube I was able to get it installed. Install included Sirius Tuner and Brandmotion Backup Camera. Overall I'm happy with the outcome and would probably do it again. A big thanks to Wolf in tech support he was most helpful and spent a lot of time researching the backup camera hookup !
Pros: Fit is good - looks very good in the jeep. Sound is better than factory radio. All steering wheel controls work as promised. Engine gauges are wonderful. Off road screen is really cool but not useful unless you are really off roading. Wired CarPlay works seamlessly to use maps, phone, text messages. (Being wired is also a Con)
Cons: Not an easy install - lots of connections to make. Example - the harness for the backup camera has 10-12 leads but only one of them was used. Instructions for mounting hardware was not as clear as it could have been. Getting front bezel to "snap" on was impossible without removing the layer of foam that I guess was supposed to make it fit better. Boot time when Jeep is turned on is slow - 7-8 seconds. Doesn't sound like much until you are waiting for the backup camera to come on. Wir
