Bought this for my 2011 BMW 128i convertible. Worked just as advertised. All steering wheel buttons work. I also bout the pre-wired harness which truly made it plug and play.

Easy and straightforward installation. It worked perfectly first time, it even kept the recirc button working. I started with the Axxess interface; it gave me all sorts of problems with the CAN Bus. Crutchfield worked with me to try and get the Axxis to work and then readily hooked me up with this. I'm not saying Axxiss is bad, just that it didn't work in my case. Whichever you choose, this is the place to buy from.

07 328i Wagon - Instructions were somewhat easy to read and understand. The speaker that retains the factory sounds like back up sensor warning doesn't work and just beeps at random, even when car is off. Annoying. . Otherwise kit was pretty much plug and play. Steering wheel controls worked perfectly.

It has everything you need for sure. My biggest issue was the wiring diagram for my car (2011 BMW 328ix). It had me cutting off the existing connectors for the speakers and splicing in 8 wires to another device between it and the stereo. Turns out my stereo had the line outs needed and I just plugged the RCA connectors into each other between the stereo and this PAC device. If it hadn't been for the tech that I spoke with on install day I would have had a major headache. Don't completely trust the wiring diagrams you receive as your new stereo may have the necessary connections.

Read if you lose reverse parking distance control

2011 BMW 3 Series
Easy to install and works well to maintain steering wheel controls. With the V5 firmware however, you may lose the use of the rear parking distance control (the beeping to tell you how far away your bumper is from an object.) If you lose this and hear a beep out of your speaker every 64 seconds, which is terribly annoying, downgrade the firmware to version 3. I'm not sure what features I lose by downgrading the firmware but I haven't discovered anything significant yet in my 2011 328i E92 wagon.
Pros: Retains all steering wheel controls and factory warning "gongs"
Cons: Interferes with parking distance control

This does exactly what it's designed to do, and more (although I did not take advantage of custom programming features). If you can plug in a lamp, you should be able to install this interface.
Pros: Very simple install Works with no added BS
Cons: A tiny bit hard to find space for all the connectors in the dash - but not terrible, as I expected.

It worked out great in my 2011 bmw 328i - not for the faint of heart lots of wires and guessing but it worked out fine - I called Crutchfield engineers and was no issue. You have to read and re-read all manuals.. I got all my steering wheel controls working and JVC unit v820bt. But had to lead yellow wire back to truck where battery stored (special bmw - pia)

Plug and Play your JAMS! Simple instructions, maintained all my stock features without having to custom program the device. Yes, I could get more out of it by programming it, but I just dont feel the need to do so.
