Do NOT Buy!

This does NOT keep steering wheel controls. I thought my Alpine head unit was not working right. So I purchased a Sony one and that one did not work. I moved that dial to Alpine and Sony but this thing is garbage. Do NOT buy this!

Skeptical, but surprised me.

I was skeptical that this may be disappointing (compared to the Maestro...) but pleasantly surprised. Seamless integration to the factory system in this car (steering wheel controls, etc.)

PAC RP4-CH11 Wiring Interface

I had to replace one that was installed two years ago. It stopped putting out switched power. I bought the one for the car that I had (I didn't call and ask for help)and The connection was slightly different than the original so I used the two to make it work. The radio came on and since it's my daughters car I didn't check everything.it all works except the steering wheel controls..she told me half way to college

Mostly okay

I bought this for a jeep wrangler. Install went ok. For some reason the factory steering wheel controls do not work. Overall it went well but since the steering wheel controls do not work I gave it 3 stars.

Fixed my JKU functionality

This squared away all the issues I was having in my 2013 wrangler unlimited after having installing an after market head unit. I had lost all steering wheel controls and radio dimming functions. Installing this kit got them all working. As for the kit it's self: high quality and well put together.

Had problems from day 1.

Harness never kept constant power to head unit. Eventually caused problems draining vehicle battery and blowing fuse. Had to purchase a a replacement and reinstall the head unit. Crutchfield was unhelpful. First and last experience shopping with them.

Faulty Part

Failed after 3 weeks. Had to take vehicle to an install specialist to confirm and replace. Crutchfield is refunding me a portion but I'm told I'll have to pay for "restocking" on a faulty part. The fuse trick listed below worked after the head unit initially lost power but didn't work the second time.

As a kit, this works great! Unfortunately, it's $140 and you only use one of the harnesses specific to your setup but it's still a kit you'll need if you want to use the steering controls. I dinged it a star only because of price.

Problems

I have a 2015 jeep wrangler for some reason I have to pull the fuse out of the pac and put it back in before it will come on and some times when I plug the fuse back in it makes my dash lights go crazy. I don't know if this one is just bad and can be replaced and everything be ok or just get a different brand.

Dosen't last long

I got this 2 years ago with a sony stereo head and all the recommended wiring and about 6 months ago my stereo stopped powering up with the ACC. I traced it to the interface. I unplug it then plug it back in and all is fine again then after a couple days back to no power. Saw a few other reviews had the same problem. I think this item should last more then a 1 1/2 years.

A must-have component and a breeze to install!

This wiring interface simplified the whole installation process! As a DIYer, I opted to complete the wiring myself. Coupled with the super-simple color-coded instructions Crutchfield provides, sorting through all the wires and marrying them to the head unit's harness (BOSS BE920WCPA) could not be any easier. And my first test of the connection was a success with ZERO issues. This is a must-have for any after-market radio install!

Works as intended

This peice is important when installing a BOSS stereo into the 2012 RAM 1500. It was simply plug and play. This peice is most useful for trucks with steering wheel controls.

Quit Working after 1 year

This module lasted just over its one year warranty, and then kept blowing the fuses. Advised by the Crutchfield support team that it was the problem, and since it was over its one year warranty, they could not offer any help except to replace it with a new one. I would find another option/company to purchase it from.

Alpine stereo, Pioneer setting.

The wiring harness was helpful, but I still had to call tech support because the steering wheel controls did not work. I followed the instructions, however I guess were for an older alpine head unit. The tech on line was very helpful the setting and got everything to function like it should.

Works, it fit - but not easy

The interface works and everything is great, but this kit is a head-scratcher. I only used one of the harnesses, the other just goes in the trash. So wasteful and irresponsible to the planet. Why not just sell me the one I need? Then I only pay half as much and you don't litter the planet? Also, no wiring diagram whatsoever. Ending up spending a lot of time on youtube figuring it out. Most confusing directions I've ever tried to follow.

Worth it

It was such a great deal I couldn't pass the offer up! I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The old radio was still is great condition but it being so old it didn't have a lot of the options that I wanted. So I decided to order one of the boss touchscreens with a backup camera option. It was super simple to install since they pre-wired everything for me ?? Also, the wires were labeled.. it really made it super simple! I have to cut into the upper half to make it fit but overall it was great! I highly recommend this site!

Retained almost all of the functionality on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. The Phone control button on the steering wheel is the only one that doesn't work and the loss of fade ability with the factory amp is a minor annoyance. The programming instructions were confusing so I just decided to stick with the defaults and not fiddle with setting long press actions.

I have relatively minimal wiring experience, I know how to solder and use shrink tube and I know how to put the square block in the square hole and the circle block in the circle hole...or you know, match blue with blue and yellow with yellow. This kit and the instructions that were included made my job incredibly easy. Crutchfield has an incredible reputation for a very good reason.

Didnt come with the factory amp wiring adapter for my 2012 jeep liberty limited with the infinity audio system, radio turns on and has power, but will make no sound.

Fantastic price, product and service.

What I love about Crutchfield is you get everything you need for an installation. I mean everything. Down to the last screw, wire connector harness what ever is needed. No Guess work. Crurtchfield takes care of it all and a fantastic price. I am repeat buyer. Every vehicle I get, I open up the their catalog to see whats available for it. Love this place.

Don't be cheap

My choice was to have the guys wire it together instead of fumbling around. It was truly plug and play. It made the install a breeze. Definantly worth the few extra dollars. Now replacing the tweeters requires removing the enitre dash and A pillar covers. But that was on Jeep not Crutchfield.

Good harness, lacking with instructions.

Instructions are confusing. Took a few times to get it all right since I had a factory amp. Back up camera labels were confusing with no help in the instructions. Once it was installed correctly, it is nice to be plug and play.

Poorly Described, Poorly Written Instructions, Not a Direct Fit.

Poorly described product. Is absolutely not a direct fit for the year specified for the Chrysler Town & Country, requiring yet another additional connector. Crutchfield's integration wizard clearly failed to identify additional parts needed. Control module does not list proper setting for recommended stereo by Crutchfield. This is a major fail to thoroughly vet the products on Crutchfield's part. They absolutely do not provide any support on weekends when people need it the most. Buyers beware.

Anazing Crutchfield Team

After purchasing 2 previous units that just were not what I needed, I purchased the JVC. I was hesitant about letting go of the CD player. After talking to Patrick he convinced me to go with the JVC and I am really satisfied with the ease of operation especially the Bluetooth features. I have already forgotten about the CD player and haven't looked back. Thank you Patrick!! I love the new unit. Crutchfield was really patient with me and worked to satisfy me no matter what! Works great. But had to call customer service as it wasn't clear if the dial setting had been set from Crutchfield (it was) and where the 3.5mm plug was supposed to go. They told me that too. I hadn't installed a stereo in over a decade, so it was like my first time again. I did have the wiring done by Crutchfield, which was nice (Ready Harness). Just wish it had more specific directions in the box for the super novice. But I guess that's why they have reps available!

Device works well enough, however is a "universal" system, my 2013 Wrangler had many excess wires I was not using. Direction is suboptimal, and some wires need to be cut to attach depending on your radio. Instruction is suboptimal for the attachment process (Generally color matching works, but I found differences between the radio side and interface for some features). Again, not a perfect system and direction is suboptimal, but it does its job. I wish there was a way to better manage cables, as it is very messy behind my dash due to the quantity of excess & design of the interface.
