Radio Replacement Interface: The PAC RP4-CH21 interface allows an aftermarket  head unit replacement of the factory navigation radio in select 2013-up Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles with MS-CAN databus radios. Using this interface will retain factory features such as the factory amplifier, steering wheel controls (SWC), climate control, Driver Information Center (DIC), and vehicle safety warnings when the original radio is removed. The RP4-CH21 also provides data bus driven outputs such as retained accessory power (RAP), vehicle speed sensor (VSS), illumination, reverse trigger, and parking brake.

Vehicle Compatibility: The RadioPro4 (RP4-CH21) is compatible with select 20013-up Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles with MS-CAN databus radios. Compatible vehicles as of 5/6/2015 include:

Retained Factory Features: The RP4-CH21 will retain the following factory features when replacing the factory installed radio in your Dodge, Jeep, Ram vehicle with an aftermarket head unit.

• Retains factory amplifier (lose fading capability)
• Retains Driver Information Center (DIC) with vehicle settings
• Retained Accessory Power (RAP)
• Retains factory back-up camera
• Retains HAVC climate controls
• Retains Blind Spot Detection system
• Retains Lane Departure Warning System
• Steering wheel controls

Lost Factory Features: The following factory features are lost when removing the factory radio and replacing it with an aftermarket head unit.

• Vehicles with factory amplifiers will lose fading capability.
• The RP4-CH21 does not retain uConnect.
• In vehicles equipped with the 8.4" uConnect System, the factory compass display on the DIC, 911 assist, WiFi hotspot, and uConnect access will all be lost.
• Retention of the factory VES system is not currently supported.
• In vehicles equipped with reverse sensors, but are not equipped with a factory amplified system, the reverse chimes will be lost.
• Ventilated seats are not supported in Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango.

Driver Information Center (DIC): Your Dodge, Jeep, or Ram vehicle's Drive Information Center is retained along with its vehicle settings; however the following settings are not adjustable once the factory radio is removed.

  • Parallel & perpendicular park assist
  • Rain sensitive windshield wipers
  • Tilting side mirrors while in reverse
  • Power lift gate chime

Navigation Outputs: The PAC radio replacement interface also provides a VSS (vehicle speed sense), Parking Brake, and a Reverse Gear output to make installing an aftermarket navigation head unit simpler and less time consuming.

Radio Select Switch: The radio select rotary switch on the side of the interface must be adjusted to the proper radio setting before plugging the interface into the vehicle.

Programmable SWC: The interface comes pre-programmed for all of the vehicle's factory SWC functions and does not require programming, unless you wish to re-assign the SWC functions to different buttons or create secondary functions. The SWC functions can be easily programmed; see default SWC button assignments in the included user manual. The interface retains programming even if your vehicle's battery is disconnected.
