I used this to wire 2 JBL studio monitors over a 40 foot run to each speaker. This wire is bar none the best I have ever used. I love that its super flexible and really easy to tuck against the baseboards in my listening room. I notice no noticeable loss of quality over such a long run. Delivery was very quick too!

I have been updating my family room speakers in the last month, from Polk to Klipsch. I tried the Stinger pro with a pair of the new speakers and heard a clearer sound. I decided to replace all the 20+ years Monster XP cables that were fine but I prefer the new sound.
Pros: Clearer sound. In movies, the voice through the center channel improved significantly. Music has better definition, I can hear more details.

Great quality wire! I like how heavy duty it feels. I like the square housing to indicate the positive side. When stripping the wire I didn't lose any strands of cable, which I was very happy about. Most importantly, sound is great. I wasn't sure how I'd like the black, but it blends in really well. Bulk by foot price at Crutchfield is very nice. I got exactly how much cable I needed and don't have a half spool laying around to clutter things up. 14 gauge was a perfect fit for my vintage Marantz speaker terminals.

My favorite head unit has always been pioneer. They are very tough and I have to say I have never had a problem with them, never. The wire is very important too. The best bang for the buck. Oxygen free copper at a great price from a Great Company. The only thing I did not like is that the the positive side is squared, so it makes it hard to attach ferrules.

The speaker wires work great, easy to install, the wire is not as stiff as other wires so it made easy to run it around the space in my living g room. The quality of the sound is great, an improvement from my old wires. The first thought was that the black wires were the same for the + & - ends but taking a better look one cable is round and the other square. I placed a color tape on both ends of the round cable for easy installation. Recommended!

The wire is fine but I wish the had put a + (or red) and - on the wires. They do make one round and one square. But the marking of the positive and negative would have been nicer. Also the wire is flat not round. So I had to get a different staple to tack down.

Works great! I like that the square and round wires are differentiated, it made it really easy to keep the positive and negative correct throughout my install. I just said "Round is ground" and followed that rule throughout my build and it made it very easy. Of course, you could also make square the ground, haha. It doesn't matter, as long as you stick to one orientation.
Pros: Thick shielding, Square/Round shielding makes it easy to determine polarity
Cons: Wires are a bit tough to separate from one another. I used a pair of needle-nose pliers and my fingers to get the square and round sides apart, but two pliers would have been a lot easier on my hands.

But note, if you are getting this for speaker level inputs to an amp you need to get at least 25% to twice as much as the amount you need for your speakers from the amp, particularly if the amp will be in the rear of the vehicle, to the middle of the dash where the radio is, times the number of speaker channels you have and that's alot of wire.

This is some heavy duty wire. I bought this for a new system I put in my car and had to run this wire through the Passenger side lower channel near the floor. It takes up a lot of room. It was definitely overkill. I could've used 14 or 16 for that matter. It is easy to work with and really nice wire, but probably well suited for indoor systems with high power.

This wire is highly flexible and good quality. My only real gripe is that I would like to see more prominent polarity markings. One wire is square and the other is round, but the wire I received doesn't seem to have + or - marks like the product photo. I just have to remember which polarity I assigned to square and round.

Used 14 AWG Stinger PRO wiring to bypass an aging Monsoon system in a 2001.5 VW Passat Sedan. This very fine stranded speaker wire was used to connect the Alpine KTP-445A amplifier to Polk Audio DB6502 speaker system crossovers in the front an rear doors. While I have no direct comparison with other wiring, this bypass wiring gives clear audio sound exceeding that of the OEM Monsoon system and OEM wiring harnesses. It's good, robust, solidly constructed speaker wiring - easy to install and crimp.

This wire works great. Its thick of course at 14 gauge, so consider that as you plan out your wiring, it will need a reasonable size hole and conduit to clear the width of the wire. Marked with righting for + and - so that is easy to keep straight. The individual strands are very thin, and there are a LOT of them in this wire.

Regret this one because I bought 300 feet for an RV. It is a giant black spaghetti mess. Let's just say it's not the doggy kiss in the Disney cartoon dinner plate. This is a giant angry octopus that I holler at as it consumes my arms and time. Never ending it goes on and on to untangle the snakily beast.

What I like best about this speaker wire is, it's easy to tell which side is positive and which is negative. You have a square jacket and a rounded one. Although this isn't a con, I would caution when using two wires of this gauge(12) in parallel...you won't have a lot of room to spare in a spring terminal.

Simply the best speaker wire. I wired my entire suv with this product and im extremely happy with the results. I looked at local audio shops but only Crutchfield had the pro line of 14 guage wire. This wiring is perfect size for feeding my focal speakers up front and my infinity in the rear doors, all connected to an alpine amp. The thickness of the jacket makes install a breeze because the wire can almost self guide. I will only use this wire in all my other jobs

I was a bit skeptical about paying for "premium" wire after having used some 14 gauge wire from eBay for a long time. While this stuff is somewhat expensive, the price is justifiable for the quality that you receive. The wire itself is very high quality stranded copper. I have had no issues with conductivity and the cable itself is very flexible and easy to maneuver. The sheathing is very thick and feels like it will stand up to a lot of abuse. I had it getting scraped against sheet metal edges in my car during install, with no discernible damage. I liked this wire a lot so I ended up purchasing the 16 gauge version for a different car. I would definitely recommend this over generic, low quality wire.

After receiving the wire however, I immediately noticedelete it's low quality coating, and when stripping found it to be cheap basic copper. Though it sounds better than stock, if you are using higher quality speakers such as kapa then you want a better wire

We were pleasantly surprised with the usefulness of this wire. We decided to go with the 16 gauge in our situation, because we did not have very long runs and our runs were not in-wall. We had two runs going underneath the carpet and pad on a cement floor. These two runs were probably ten or twelve feet each. The rest of our runs were much shorter. The cable itself looks like and feels like a huge, long piece of licorice. If this came in red, you could easily mistake it for Twizzlers :) The flexible but thick feel of this cabling leaves us at least with the impression that we purchased the right product for our basic setup. Would buy this again in the future if needed.

Quality speaker cables for a good price. Installed in my crv. Ran from 4 door speakers to my amp in the rear. I ordered 5 feet extra and used every bit. The flat cables make it dificult to snake between things while flat. I only wish this cable was more flexible. There was plenty of power supply for my 300 W Peak/100 W RMS Kickers ten feet from my amp.

At the great price Crutchfield offers for it, I wouldn't get with any other wire. I used this to hook up my speakers and a JL Audio subwoofer and it works great. The quality is top notch. I liked the fact that it's all black so it stays hidden from prowling would be thieves looking for clues through the cars windows. I bought 50' thinking I had way more than I needed and ended up with just enough for 4 speakers and a sub.

This is very good wire. The jacket is marked for length and each conductor has a different shape to help distinguish them apart. The wire pulls really easily. I ran it in an old car and had no issues using the original metal wire trays. After a pull I inspected the wire insulation and there were not cuts or gouging. The two leads are easily separated with fingers and comes apart at the seam, without damaging the insulation on the conductors. Definitely one of the nicest speaker wires is have used.

First let me compliment Logan. He was awesome. He really took the time to answer all my questions. I always research first, but when it comes to speakers you have to go by sound.I love Crutchfield for that. They don't have all their speakers on display, but enough to get an idea of the ballpark. The return policy makes it super easy to try anything they don't have out. I also love that returns become open box or scratch and dent. I purchased my Infinity Kappa speakers for my bronco s&d. I bought the Bose Cinimate sys 1st go around and the sound wasn't quite the same at the house, not quite enough highs. This purchase was originally for use in my bedroom for PC/ cable. I was originally looking at a few speaker bar systems and decided to go with the Bose. Because of my girlfriend, size was an option and for me it had to have a good, clear range of sound. I put got the Mirage after trying them against the Klipsch 5.1 and honestly the sound wasn't much different especially in lieu of the additional cost of the Klipsch. After getting it all home and set up/ tweaked/ level and adjusted I have to say for the price they are pretty nice. The down sides are that all 5 speakers are identical so it was not surprising that the center channel could have been a little better. Overall the system had clear highs and decent lows for a 75w sub.Not enough mids however.
Pros: Size, design, cost. Great speaker for the size.Beats out Bose and Klipsch of comparable cost. The Monster and Stinger speaker cable worked well and were relatively unobtrusive.
Cons: Not enough mids, center channel slightly lacking and could use a few more watts for the sub. Given the price this is not really much of a con though.

Nothing bad to say about the wiring. Works well, no interference so far. The unique shape of the wire makes it easy to work with. Great product!

Great Speaker Wire

This is some of the easiest speaker wire I've ever used. With the different-shaped wire insulation on one side, ensuring a proper hook-up is foolproof. The wire is copper, and is flexible and inexpensive. Did a great job completing a new surround system installation.

These wires are darn good. They have no problem delivering every bit of power from the amp to speaker.

i got 5 feet to hook up my amp to my sub. I'm running 500 watts rms and haven't had any problems with it. One side of the wire is square and the other side is round, east to distinguish by touch when working in a dark trunk.

Inexpensive and effective

I picked this up because I needed black speaker wire for my home office. And it's a bonus that it's priced by the foot, so I ordered just what I needed. Others have already commented on the round/square wires, which does make it easier. I don't have to look for the writing on the sheath anymore. But what I like most about this wire (besides the color) is how flexible it is. The jacket isn't stiff like some wires you get, and for my application, that was perfect. By the way, they sound fine; they're running past some power cables, but they don't pick up noise. A really good buy. I'd also like to say that Crutchfield's shipping times are phenomenal... every single time. Very pleased.
Pros: Flexible, inexpensive, and finally a speaker cable in black. One square side for easy +/- identification.
Cons: Really, there are none.

Stinger PRO Series Speaker Wire

Just basic speaker wire. Not shielded or anything, but I have no interference and everything sounds great. I kinda like that the insulation is square on one side and round on the other. Makes identifying the ground a bit easier

I purchased these to tap into the speaker channel in my car to run the audio signal to my sub/amp. Great wire construction, great quality, small enough that I didn't to take the panels off on that side of the car, they tucked right in.
