Its rock-style enclosure helps it blend seamlessly into an outdoor environment, leaving your guests wondering where they're hearing bass from. The 5R8SUB pairs well with other outdoor speakers and provides a solid low-end foundation for your sound. It has a rugged, all-weather fiberglass enclosure that protects the sub's 8" bass driver from just about anything weather-related.

Note: You'll need a separate amplifier to drive this passive subwoofer.

Outdoor Rock Subwoofer: The Russound Acclaim 5 Series Outback 5R8SUBmk2 has been carefully designed to resemble a natural rock so it can blend into your lawn or garden surroundings. The durable waterproof enclosure is made from multi-layered fiberglass resin for a long-lasting, ultra-realistic appearance. It has also been environmentally tested and optimized for superior outdoor bass performance.

8" Woofer: The 5R8SUBmk2 outdoor rock passive subwoofer houses a front-firing 8" polypropylene cone woofer with rubber surround that can handle between 10 and 125 watts with a frequency response of 40Hz to 200Hz. The 8" woofer has a nominal impedance of 8-ohm and sensitivity of 90dB (2.83V @1m).

Note: The 5R8SUBmk2 is a passive outdoor subwoofer and has no built-in amplifier. An external amplifier is required to power the outdoor passive sub.

Attached Speaker Wire: The 5R8mk2 outdoor rock passive subwoofer is outfitted with an attached 2' length of bare subwoofer wire and comes with two wire-nuts to connect your direct-burial outdoor subwoofer wire from your amplifier.

Mounting Options: The Acclaim 5 Series Outback 5R8SUBmk2 can be placed in your garden, around your lawn, or even on your patio, or deck. The two included mounting brackets attach to the bottom of the subwoofer and can be used to secure the subwoofer to your deck or patio. The rock subwoofer also features a security eyelet on the bottom through which a security cable (not included) can be looped to secure the subwoofer in place in your garden or on your lawn, and prevent theft.
