Features
In-ceiling Loudspeaker: The Russound IC-605 in-ceiling speaker is designed to provide wide sound dispersion, so that listeners throughout the room are treated to full, rich music reproduction. The IC-650's low frequency bass reproduction is helped when a pair of speaker are placed close to a wall or corner. This is known as the boundary effect. Each nearby surface helps to amplify the perceived sound output. Avoid placing one speaker in a corner and another on a long flat surface. Better audio performance will result if both speakers are placed in similar positions and face a similar type of surface.
0.5" PEI Tweeter: The 0.5" PEI (Polytherimide) dome tweeter is made of a lightweight plastic material that delivers clear, bright high frequency sound. The tweeter is fixed and does not swivel or pivot.
6.5" Polypropylene Woofer: The 6.5" polypropylene cone woofer with rubber surround gives detailed bass response. The integrated one-piece baffle/woofer basket adds enhanced rigidity and complements the deep bass sound.
SwiftLock: The patented SwiftLock by Swarm allows for quick and easy tool-less installation with the simple press of a button at each of the three mounting dogs. To engage the new SwiftLock feature simply position the speaker in the ceiling and push the integrated blue buttons on the front of the speaker baffle. The mounting dogs will automatically rotate and then clamp down compensating for the thickness of the ceiling while also locking into place for a secure and solid installation. If you ever need to remove the speaeker, simply push the Swiftock dog in and make a half-turn with a screwdriver to unlock the speaker.

Spring-Clip Terminals: The Russound IC-830 in-ceiling speaker is outfitted with a set of spring-clip terminals that will accept bare wire (up to 12AWG) and pin-connectors.
Magnetic Grille: The Russound IC-605 in-ceiling speaker includes a magnetic, low-profile grille that protrudes only 0.1875" from the ceiling. The grille has a white finish that can be painted with ordinary latex paint. Remove the speaker grille from the speaker before painting.

I would not have purchased these speakers originally, but they were provided as a free addition with my purchase of an MCA-66 controller. They have worked well in my smaller rooms and I am impressed.
