MCA Series Display Keypad: The Russound MDK-C6 is a wall-mounted multi-line display keypad select Russound MCA series controllers/amplifiers (including the MCA-66, MCA-88, and MCA-88X). It features a gray scale screen, menus and navigation buttons to easily find and control music sources and to make changes to system settings and room audio levels. Its alarm and sleep timer adds extra functionality.

Multi-Line Gray Scale Display: The Russound MDK-C6 keypad's multi-line gray scale LCD screen (2.75"x1.375") shows source and system navigation screens. It offers real-time information including playlist, channel, artist, song title, genre and more when used with compatible Russound sources. It also displays virtually ever system menu setting and function. You can adjust the brightness level of the display.

Responsive Hard Button Controls: The MDK-C6 features 13 responsive hard buttons for access to virtually every system feature and source control function. You'll be able to control Power On/Off, Volume Up/Down, Play/Pause, and Previous/Next Track; as well as access Menu Settings and Shortcuts. The "OK" button in the center activates a menu choice and the navigation buttons allow you to move through menus and lists, as well as provide source controls.  The buttons' LED brightness is adjustable and can be dimmed.

IR Commands: In addition to push-button control, the Russound MDK-C6 keypad supports IR commands from programmable, universal remote controls. It offers a detachable 4-pole screw-down connector for an optional external IR receiver (sold separately).  If utilizing an external IR receiver, then you must disable the IR receiver in the keypad. This is disabled in the installer options menu on the keypad.

Alarm & Sleep Timer: You can setup the MDK-C6 keypad as alarm clock and wake up to your music. You pick the wake time, how often (all days/weekdays/once), and the music source. It even offers level adjustment and an adjustable snooze (5-30 minutes). In addition, the MDK-C6 provides a sleep timer, so the zone you are listening to turn off after 150, 30, 45, or 60 minutes.

Ethernet Connection: The MDK-C6 keypad is equipped with a RJ-45 jack (T568A wiring standard) on the back that is used to connect to a compatible Russound MCA series controller/amplifier using CAT-5 cable (sold separately).  Cable runs for zone keypads should not exceed 250' maximum. The MDK-C6 requires 12VDC/275mA of power, which it receives from a compatible MCA controller/amplifier through the connected CAT-5 cable.

Dual-Gang Box Installation: The SLK-1 is designed to be mounted in a standard dual-gang electrical box (not included). You will need a UL/CSA approved plastic 32ci double-gang wall box (sold separately). A decorative wall-plate is included, with additional wall-plates available in Black, Almond, and Light Almond (each sold separately) to better match your interior decor. For best viewing and usage, the MDK-C6 should be mounted at thermostat height, or about 58"-60"  from the floor.
