Rockford and Crutchfield do it again. Super easy to install and navigate. Went through several Wet Sounds in the past so it was time to try something new.

This is a fantastic head unit! I installed this to replace the cheap unit the factory installed. I also replaced the factory speakers with Rockford Fosgate M1-65 speakers. The entire upgrade was simple and I had no issues. I paired the radio with the Rockford Fosgate PMX-BTUR, which I mount to the tow-bar or ladder on the back of the boat for control from the water.

Reliable, quality unit

Well here I am nearly a year later... this unit is still working like a champ! Though I do wish that I had sprung for the color screen. More power output from the built in amp would be nice, but there is still the option to run an amp... you have front full range RCA outputs, and Rear full range or sub bass rear RCA outputs, you also have the option to pipe audio in over RCA as well. I don't use the USB port on it, as I installed it in my 83 Honda GL1100. I has taken the extreme heat, cold, and severe weather very well. I've gotten stuck in the middle of severe storms in the middle of the night far from home a few times, and much like the bike, the stereo carries on without a care in the world. The free remote control app is nice, but buggy... I hope they improve on that. All in all... the was money well spent. It's a good quality, simple and easy to use unit for a decent price. I needed a simple interface to be able to operate it without having to look at it. Oh yeah, the weather band is an excellent plus. Even though this radio isn't for bikes, it works very well due to it's small form factor, that said, a revision of it with the option for handlebar mounted controls would be AWESOME! I wish I could find more speaker options for my faithful Gold Wing...
Pros: 1.Basic, easy to use control layout 2.predictable, reliable operation 3.tough as nails 4.nice feature set and decent equalizer options 5. NOAA weather radio onboard is awesome to have!
Cons: 1.Remote control app is buggy, convoluted at times 2.Equalizer is tricky to get dialed in just right internal amp could be much more powerful 3.USB port needs to be able to output 5 volts at 3 amps to actually charge today's smartphones, 5 volts 1 amp isn't anywhere near enough. 4.A physical remote option and some handlebar controls that connect to the radio would be very welcome, even though this isn't supposed to be for motorcycles.

Went through a Dual & a Clarion before getting this one. This unit is a game changer especially for my cooler radio. Love the voltage meter while gettin down on the beach! Watch out for that horseshoe!!!

The Fosgate sounds great and has multiple equalizer etc options but it lags before turning back on when pausing the music.

This unit is a tremendous upgrade over the Jenson JMS3 unit that came standard in my 2020 Yamaha SX 190 jet boat. The PMX-1, combined with the new Rockford Fosgate MO-65 speakers, provides great sound with improved bass response compared with the old setup.

Have PMX in Polaris RZR that has held up to water, mud, snow all extreme conditions for several years, made it an easy choice for updating tunes in pontoon boat.

Sounds great, plenty loud. Installation simple, Bluetooth hook up a breeze. Used Cruchfield's Chat to assist with purchase. Tech was very helpful in choosing right unit for my boat.

This was an easy product install with all the documentation you need to get things hooked up and running quickly. Really love the connectivity and having a knob for volume. This thing rocks and works great on our boat.
