Harley Davidson Compatible: The Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD14 is an upgraded, aftermarket digital multimedia receiver for select 2014-up Harley Davidson motorcycles. The PMX-HD14 installs in the factory OEM radio location with the factory brackets and mounting hardware from the factory radio, maintaining a "factory-look" without the need for a separate installation kit. The motorcycle's factory wiring harness plugs directly into the connector socket on back of the Rockford Fosgate receiver.

Element Series: The PMX-HD14 digital multimedia receiver is part of Rockford Fosgate's Element Ready Series product line-up which takes into account the effects of the environment and takes measures to ensure long-lasting high-performance. The Element Series is protected against Dust, UV, Temperature, Water, Corrosion, & Vibration.

• Dust Resistant: The unit's display and motor structure are sealed up tight so they look as clear as possible and perform day in and day out no matter how many times you hit the trails.
• UV Inhibitor Materials: Centrex and ASA plastic materials are used for UV radiation resistance and components are tested in accordance with ASTM D4329 testing and certification procedures.
• Thermal Shock Tested: Tested for extreme temperature operation as well as severe fluctuations in ambient temperature. Components are taken to both low and high temperature extremes and then tested to ensure operational capabilities.
• Water Tested: IPX4 (chassis) and IPX6 (faceplate) ratings allow for the components to be directly sprayed with water without water incursion.
• Corrosion Protection: ASTM B117 tested and conformal coated PCB boards prevent corrosion of critical components due to exposure in moisture rich environments.
• Vibration Resistant: Subjected to full vibration and shock testing (simultaneous 3-axis) to ensure that it will take abuse and keep performing to our stringent standards.

Retains Factory Handlebar Controls: The Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD14 allows you to retain your motorcycle's factory OEM handlebar controls. Supported handlebar control functions include Source Selection, Station Preset Selection, Volume Up/Down, Mute, Previous/Next Track, Fast Forward/Rewind, and Voice Recognition.

Headset & CB Compatibility: The PMX-HD14also works with wireless headsets and the factory OEM CB (WHIM & CB modules required and sold separately - not available at Crutchfield).

Touchscreen Monitor + Apple CarPlay

7" Touchscreen Display: The PMX-HD14 is equipped with a 7" TFT full-color LCD touchscreen monitor, providing an ultra-crisp visual infotainment center with touchscreen control functionality that even works with riding gloves.

Apple CarPlay: The PMX-HD14 digital multimedia receiver allows you to connect your Apple iPhone 5 or newer (iOS 7.1+) via USB for access to Apple CarPlay. Apple CarPlay is a smarter, safer way to use your compatible iPhone while you stay focused on the road. Apple CarPlay takes the things you want to do with your iPhone while driving and integrates them into the PMX-HD14. Apple CarPlay offers an incredibly intuitive way to make calls, view maps, listen to music, and access messages from your compatible iPhone through the PMX-HD14 in-dash receiver. With Apple CarPlay, you can control these functions from the PMX-HD14 receiver's 7" touchscreen or activate Siri for minimized distraction.

• Maps: Through Apple CarPlay, the power and simplicity of Apple Maps comes to your dashboard; complete with turn-by-turn direction, traffic conditions, and estimated travel time. You can enter a new destination or choose a favorite or recent destination using the head unit's touchscreen or by simply asking Siri. CarPlay can also predict where you most likely want to go using addresses from your email, text messages, contacts, and calendars. If you have iOS 12.0 or newer on your iPhone with the latest version of Google Maps or Waze, you can choose to navigate via Google Maps or Waze instead of CarPlay. Google Maps and Waze do not support Siri voice control, but will have their own proprietary voice control function which has to be accessed through a touchscreen icon on the receiver.
• Phone: With Apple CarPlay, you can use the PMX-HD14's interactive touchscreen or ask Siri to make calls, return calls, and check voicemail. To dial a phone number, simply tap the "Phone" icon and Siri will ask you who you want to call. Using the touchscreen you can manually enter a phone number from the on-screen keypad, scroll through contacts, or select from recent and miss calls. In addition, you get access to your voicemails via touchscreen and Siri. When a call comes in, simply tap the "Phone" icon to answer. You'll carry on your side of the conversation through the included external microphone, while the other party is heard through your vehicle's speakers.
• Text Messages: Apple CarPlay also lets you enjoy a better and safer way of text messaging with friends and family when you're on the road, through the receiver and Siri. Through your voice commands, Siri can send, read, and reply to your text messages so that you never have to glance at your phone while behind the wheel. When a new message comes in a banner will come across the screen and Siri will read back the message for you. Text messages cannot be read or typed from the head unit's touchscreen to prevent driver distraction.
• Music Library: CarPlay lets you access your music in your iPhone's music library, plus iTunes radio from the PMX-HD14. You can browse your music by Playlist, Artist, Song, etc.. just like you would on your iPhone from the PMX-HD14's touchscreen. You can also use Siri to find and play back your music. The PMX-HD14's touchscreen will display song/artist information, as well as album art in the background. Tap the Now Playing icon on the receiver's capacitive touchscreen and see song, artist, album information with Album Art displaying in the background. From the Now Playing screen you also get basic playback function, like Play/Pause, Previous Next/Track, Fast Forward/Rewind, and Repeat/Shuffle.
• Audio Apps & Podcasts: CarPlay also supports additional audio apps that you've downloaded to your iPhone for enjoying music, podcasts, sports, news, and audiobooks - including Pandora, Tidal, Spotify, iHeart Radio, TuneIn Radio, Slacker Radio, Vox, Stitcher, MLB.com At Bat, CBS Radio News, NPR One, OverCast, Audiobooks.com & Audible (subscriptions and fees may app). Control them from the head unit's touchscreen or Siri just like you would from your iPhone. Your iPhone's touchscreen remains unlocked during CarPlay connection, so you are able to access additional music apps and listen to them through the receiver; however these apps offer no control or display information from the head unit's touchscreen.
• Apple HomeKit Compatible: CarPlay now supports control of Apple HomeKit enabled devices (sold separately) through Siri. Using CarPlay in your vehicle, you can ask Siri to close or open your garage door, turn on or off home lighting, increase or decrease the temperature of your thermostat, as well as control select functions of other Apple HomeKit enabled devices and appliances. Cellular & Data Plan Requirements: Access to Apple CarPlay apps will depend on the availability of a cellular and/or WiFi network for purposes of allowing your iPhone to connect to the Internet. Your compatible Apple device will need an active Data Plan account with connection to the Internet via 3G, EDGE, LTE (4G), or WiFi.

iPhone Charging: The PMX-HD14 receiver will also charge (5V/1.5A) your Apple CarPlay compatible iPhone while connected via USB with the vehicle's ignition switch set to the 'ACC' or 'On' position.

Bluetooth/USB/Aux Integration

Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD14 offers built-in Bluetooth 5.0 with support for wireless music streaming (A2DP) and control (AVRCP). You'll be able to wirelessly stream stored music, music apps, and other audio content from your Bluetooth-enabled source device (such as your smartphone or tablet) to the PMX-HD14 digital multimedia receiver. Thanks to Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you can easily pair up to 8 Bluetooth devices with the PMX-HD14. However, only one Bluetooth device can be connected and used for playback at a time.

• Control: You'll be able operate basic playback functions (such as Play/Pause, Previous Next/Track and Repeat/Shuffle) from the digital multimedia receiver's front-panel controls. When using a Bluetooth AVRCP 1.4 compatible device like the Apple iPhone (iOS 5.0+) or an Android smartphone (OS 4.0+), you can even browse your stored music by category (Playlist/Artist/Song/Genre).
• Display: In addition, the PMX-HD14 will display your Bluetooth source device's song/artist information with album art. Only one device can be paired and connected at a time to this receiver.

USB Port: The Rockford Fosgate digital multimedia receiver features a rear-panel USB (type-A) port for connection of a USB mass storage class device, such as a USB thumbdrive (up to 32GB and formatted in FAT16 or FAT32). The unit supports playback of compressed MP3, WMA, FLAC (non-high resolution) music files loaded onto a USB MSC device (maximum of 999 folders/files).

• Control: You are able to browse your music by folders, as well as control basic playback functions such as Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track and Repeat/Random.
• Display: In addition, the PMX-HD14 will display your USB MSC device's song/artist/album information (including album art).
• Charging: The USB-A port (5V/1.5A) can also be used to charge the battery of your smartphone or tablet device when your vehicle's ignition switch is set to the 'ACC' or 'On' position.

Aux Input: The Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD14 is fitted with a rear-panel stereo RCA auxiliary input to connect an external audio source.

Audio & Amplifier Section

MOSFET Amplifier: The PMX-HD14 is equipped with a MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit.

• Full Bandwidth Power: 25 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20-20kHz, 1% THD)
• Maximum Output Power: 50 watts x 4 channels (200 watts total)

4V/6Ch Pre-Outs: The Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD14 is equipped with three pair of 4-volt pre-outs (Front, Rear, and Sub). The Front and Rear pre-outs can be faded, while the subwoofer pre-out is non-fading. You can turn off the unit's internal amplifier, if you plan on using only external amps.

High-Pass & Low-Pass Crossovers: The PMX-HD14 provides a high-pass crossover for the front & rear channels which can be set to 60Hz, 80Hz, 120Hz, or Full-Range. The unit also provides a low-pass crossover for the subwoofer output that can be set to 60Hz, 80Hz, 120Hz, or Full-Range.

Equalizer: Select between seven EQ presets - FLAT, ROCK, CLASSIC, ACOUSTIC, DANCE, ELECTRONIC, HIP-HOP, or Custom. The Custom EQ preset lets you utilize the receiver's built-in 14-band EQ to custom tailor the sound of your music to your liking.

DSP Presets: The PMX-HD14 also features optimized DSP presets for all 2014+ Rockford Fosgate H-D stage kits (sold separately).

Street Party Mode: If you are riding in a group, Rockford Fosgate's Street Party Mode allows each rider to wirelessly stream (up to 100') the same song through to each Bluetooth connected PMX-HD14 radio (up to 8).

AM/FM Radio + SiriusXM Ready

AM/FM Radio: The PMX-HD14 features a built-in AM/FM tuner with manual, seek, and preset tuning. You can store up to 18 FM and 12 AM preset stations; these presets can be stored manually or automatically. You can set the tuner to Local or Distance tuning. The Local option tunes to nearby radio stations with sufficiently strong signals for good reception. In areas where reception is poor, switching to Distance tuning enables the unit to tune in to more distant stations. The tuner also features selectable North America and European tuning.

SiriusXM-Ready: The Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD14 is SiriusXM-Ready and compatible with the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (220SXV300 sold separately). • Information such as Channel Name, Artist Name, & Song Title can be viewed on the head unit's display
• Category Search feature lets you search for channels within a certain genre or category
• Up to 18 SiriusXM Satellite Radio station presets
• Direct tuning of a SiriusXM station
• Channels containing unsuitable content for children can be blocked

Weather Band Tuner: The Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD14 is also equipped with a built-in weather band tuner. Select from weather band frequencies between 162.40 to 162.55.
