The speakers are excellent, however they were the wrong size . The existing stock speakers were 6.5 inches. The replacements sent by Crutchfield were 5.5 . The installer checked Crutchfield's website and the wrong size was specified as the replacement. The installer made the smaller units fit and the sound is definitely an improvement. But it's reasonable to assume the sound improvement would have been even better with properly sized replacements. The installer had the correct speakers in stock ,so I could have just bought them there. Ordering on line is fine if you know what you're doing , but maybe not so great if you are totally relying on the vendor to ship the correctly specified merchandise. The installer did say that Crutchfield usually gets it right and is a reliable resource, just not this time.

Good buy for the price

Used to replace the original speakers inside a small travel trailer for audio and video. They were a big improvement over the old speakers. Music is clearer and with improvements at both ends of the spectrum. As far as the sound from videos, it is definitely not surround sound, but it is good for the size and cost of the speakers. Dialogue is clear and for a small trailer the rest is pretty good. Great deal for the price.

1/4 speakers were blown

Bought 2 pairs of this speaker in the outlet (scratch and dent when I received the package there were no visible signs that these speakers were scratch and dent as they looked fine but when done with installing and testing one speaker was blown

Perfect for my wife's F150

I wanted to replace the factory 6x8s in the front door of my wife's 2005 F150 with a circular speaker for better sound reproduction. Crutchfield sent me the speaker adapter brackets for free with the purchase. Five minutes at the hardware store, 8x32 bolts and nylon locknuts, and five minutes bolting them together, and I was done with the removal of the old speakers and had the new ones installed in less than twenty minutes. Speakers sound great. They are a vast improvement over the stock speakers. I liked them so much that i turned around and ordered a set of tweeters to go along with them.

No bass/adapters worthless/not happy.

Bought these to replace factory Ford speakers after one went bad. Almost no bass to these speakers at all. If it wasn't such a pain to pack up the 5 pounds of plastic and cardboard packaging and go through the process of removing them all again I would return them. Another thing to look out for: DO NOT USE THE FREE ADAPTER CABLES FROM CRUTCHFIELD. they are such weak flimsy junk they do not insert into the existing plug. All four adapters fell apart when plugging them in so I had to throw away the adapter housing and tape the loose wires into the housing. Not ideal at all. I fully expect them to corrode or vibrate out within a year. What a freaking waste of time and money.

Drop In Installation With Included Accessories

Replaced the original factory rear speakers in the 1/4 doors of my 2007 F-150 Extra Cab. Relatively quick and easy installation with the screws and nut clips which come with the speakers, and adapter mounting plates and wire harness kits Crutchfield included. Once the vehicle trim pieces were removed to access the speakers the hardest part of the job was getting the nut clips on to the mounting plates so you can screw the speakers on. The only apprehensive moment was when I powered the radio up and no sound out of the driver's side speaker. Fortunately just re-seating the speaker side harness connector to the vehicle side one took care of it and I have good clear sound again. Also delivery from Crutchfield to CA was very fast. Great job again Crutchfield!

Rockford fosgate says it all

Great little speakers definitely a nice upgrade from factory and even a lot of aftermarket speakers,if you have a 1995 ex Civic with the acoustic research factory system be prepared to do a little modification wasn't nothing major though at all

Wiring connectors didn't work

The wiring adapters didn't work, as my 1997 Toyota Previa had different factory connectors. I ended up needing to solder the new speakers in. Once that was finished, though, the speakers sound good ??.

I replaced stock 2016 jeep wrangler speakers with these. I chose the coaxial to save a few bucks by not replacing all 8 speakers. These are by far superior to the stock speakers. Excellent choice.

Factory Replacement

I'm sure these would be great for other applications. But for me they are not that good for factory replacement. I wanted just a 6.5 woofer to replace my 6.5 woofers in the rear of my car, but I let the tech at Crutchfield talk me into these 5.25 two ways and I regret it. Going to put my factory 6.5s back in just to have a hint of bass.

Delivery was excellent product sounds terrible no bass whatsoever. I wasn't expecting much due to the size of them but the factory speakers sound 10x better. I don't have a. Amp but do have an aftermarket head unit. Long story short would not buy them again!

The lot the Crutchfield provides makes installation super easy. These R1525X2 sounds perfect and the 4Runner with the stock head unit. There's more clarity and brightness compared to stock. Highly recommend!

GREAT SERVICE!

Bought 'scratch & dent'. They were new! The only indicator that they were 'used' was the box was previously opened..I was a little concerned, as these were a little smaller than the 6 1/2 in speakers they were replacing, but they sound GREAT! Very happy with the speakers and the service!

Replaced the rear deck speakers in my 34 year old Camry with these. Taking the place of the original stock speaker was a significant upgrade at a reasonable cost. Sound is full and generally what I expected for the price. I had to create a new mounting plate with some sheet metal to install into the existing opening.

Little to no bass

These speakers did not improve the quality of from my stock speakers. In fact it made it worse. The sounds felt empty and there was virtually no bass. I think if these were paired with an aftermarket head unit/amp they would sound much better. Returning these for something else. Nothing but praise for Crutchfield though. Just not the right product for my application.

Decent entry level replacements

Eazy clean install for my 3rd Gen 4Runner 23yr old Nakamichi 5.25 rear speakers. Great upgrade for your factory OEM replacements at a decent price. Volume dropped a bit, but the highs picked up. Don't expect more bass but like all replacements aftermarket speakers an external amp is night and day difference at a 50 watts RMS per channel is a min with a decent quality amp.

This upgrade alone is worth it!

This made a SIGNIFICANT difference in my 2022 4Runner with stock speakers. Quick install, but be ready to drill a hole on the provided mounting bracket (NOT the SUV). I was under the impression that it was simply plug-n-play, so this was a curveball to me. Either way, it was worth the upgrade. This alone would've made me happy-- but I upgraded all 8 speakers as well.

Not a good fit in a 08 tundra

This is a decent looking speaker however...with the supplied scoche adapters they dont fit properly in the rear doors.....the holes will line up but there is a small gap left around the speakers edge. This would ruin its sound ,,,,its close but not close enough.
