Go for something else
James from ATCHISON, KS on 8/3/2024

So if you've never had a stereo system then you will be happy with this. Yes it gives a little low end to your music, but I've had better with a 93 grand am with factory 6x9's. I have this in an 07 Chevy Silverado new body style regular cab. Box fits behind the seats, but overall it's very underwhelming. If you only listen to one style of music it would be easier. But I listen to everything and the sub falls on its face to the point that you have to adjust it down to nothing so it doesn't distort. I have it paired with a Rockford fosgate R500x1 @ 2ohm prime amp turned down. Ive done car audio for 30 years and have never bought a loaded enclosure, I've always built them, but I wanted something easy but only managed to waste money. This sub hasn't had much use cause it sounds bad. I've tried to give it a chance to break in in hopes it would get better but it hasn't and now I've waited to long to return it for something better
Pros: Compact
Cons: Underwhelming, doesn't really produce good bass notes in any of the frequencies

Great punch in a small package
Kevin from Mount Pleasant, SC on 2/10/2023
2022 Ford F-250 Lariat
I installed this unit behind my 2022 F250 Super cab bench seat and it sounds great. Its pretty good and has plenty of bass to give for a small package. I still need to trim a little back there to make it sit just right but this is the right size to fit back there. Way better than the stock B&O subwoofer they put back there. For the money, this box is a steal. Running it off the Kicker 47KEY500.1 amplifier which I highly recommend for setting up with a stock sound system. For less than $500 you will see a great improvement in the sound in your truck.
Pros: - Huge sound in a small package. - Runs off little power - Takes no space at all
Cons: Can't think of any.

Bought 2 of these to put behind a bench seat in my Freightliner M2 10, have a Sundown SFB600.1 pushing them and they sound great. Good for all genres of music above 40 hz, seems to perform very well between 48-51 hz. Got them on sale and definitely worth it!
Pros: Price Size Sound Legendary company
Cons: Not tuned for boomin' bass

Only way to make this one even more perfect is to add another I would think. But for my sons 2012 Nissan Frontier and perfect fit under passenger side rear seat it's amazing with just this one. with the Rockford amp and other Rockford speakers all the way around. Except for tweets. Factory tweets sound just fine. This thing will impress you. You get the tight hits and the boom so don't let anybody fool you otherwise.
Pros: Sounds great and less room needed for install

Small, Compact for tight spaces
Crutchfield customer from Apple Valley, CA on 7/31/2020
This is a small sub box, for small tight areas, that delivers a small portion of punch. Just recently installed, so still need to work some adjustments and see if I can pull a little more deeper bass out of it, but it's not necessarily a bad unit, just a little softer on the base than I anticipated.
Pros: Compact in size, easy install
Cons: Doesn't have the punch I was hoping for, but plan to make a few more sound adjustments

Small footprint big sound
Bill from Batesville, MS on 10/14/2018
This was the only sub that would fit behind the seat in my S10. I read the reviews and am really happy I got it. It fits just fine but more importantly it completed the sound that was missing from my system. I listen to a broad range of music rock, blues, metal, hip hop, and country. With the bass boost control on my Rockford Prime 250 amp I can get the perfect amount of bass for each style of music I listen to. I have been really surprised by this sub, it does everything I want well. The only downside is Rockford doesn't offer a grill for it. Being a behind the seat amp it needs one. I did find a generic one for it.
Pros: Plenty of bass
Cons: No grill

Purchased for my son's Jeep Wrangler, matched up to a dedicated subwoofer Rockford amp. Adds the right amount of bass to a Kenwood receiver without an amp. Fits behind the seat with the amp but he won't be putting any other luggage back there unless he's only bringing his toiletry bag with him. Nice bass to enhance the stock Wrangler speaker bar.
Pros: good sound, easy to install, fits behind Wrangler back seat
Cons: about an inch too tall which causes the soft top to sit about an inch too high when folded down and resting on top of the speaker, doesn't come with a speaker grill, should probably install one to protect the speaker since it's not hidden in a trunk

Good sound quality and good construction. I put this behind the back seat of an 01 chevy quad cab. It was great for a couple weeks then it all went downhill. The sound went to garbage and upon inspection the speaker had ripped, best guess is from rubbing from the seat. Ruined the sub and pretty disappointed.

John from Riverside RI on 7/12/2017
Fits on center behind seat of my 2013 regular cab Chevy Silverado and sounds great to. If you have no room like my truck, you should think about using this sub. I have a 19 year old RadioShack cheap amp bridged mono running this until I buy a real amp and it sound great. I love and have expensive music equipment but refuse to go crazy on my everyday drive due to possible theft.
Pros: Great price and sound

Perfect for Business Traveler/Music Lover
Don from Madison, WI on 4/9/2017
I like music... lots of it, and of many different types. Aside from the quality of the sound, which is unquestionably excellent, the main selling point of this, for me, was the size. While I do not own a truck, I do need room for a suitcase (or two) from time to time. I mounted this enclosure to one side of my '08 Honda Civic's trunk, facing the wheel well, amp on the back, and I still have plenty of room for luggage. I can also fit two week's worth of groceries, without resorting to the back seat. For those of you that want a more full sound stage, without sacrificing too much utility in your ride, this is the beast.
Pros: Size, clarity, punch, invisibility
Cons: No grill for protection

Good Sub for a truck
CameronE from Roanoke, VA on 7/21/2016
High quality as to be expected from Fosgate. Sound is good for and extended cab. Won't shake to windows of homes down the street but it is just a shallow mount. That being said I have it hooked up to an Kenwood 800w mono channel class D amp and can set it for more quick and punchy response when I listen to rock or loosen things up for rap. For the price you can't beat it!

So I was looking for better sound in an 85 chevy single can truck, let's just say that there is almost no room to work with. This sub fit perfectly behind the seat, and it is hooked up to a 250 watt amp. This sub has a surprising amount of base. It will rattle all of the mirrors and is very responsive. All in all it was a great purchase and I am very satisfied with the sound quality.
