Features

Enclosure: The Rockford Fosgate Prime R2S-1X12 houses a single R2SD4 12" subwoofer. The sealed enclosure is constructed of 5/8" Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) and covered with black high density carpet. There is a pair of high current spring posts on the right side (when facing the subwoofer); the terminal will accommodate pin connectors, single or dual banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge. The subwoofer's dual voice coils are wired in parallel and present a 2-ohm load to your amplifier.

Voice Coil Former: The R2SD4-12's voice coil former is made of anodized aluminum to provide superior heat dissipation. Unlike traditional plastic, aluminum acts as a heat-sink to quickly dissipate thermal build-up on the voice coil. This keeps the subwoofer cool and improves durability.

Stitched Tinsel Leads: The multipoint, periodic stitched technique of attaching the tinsel lead wires to the spider spreads stress and strain over a greater area, reducing fatigue and the possibility of shorting. This significantly improves the reliability and performance of the subwoofer.

Stamped Steel Basket: The R2SD4-12 subwoofer features a stamped steel basket for added rigidity.

CEA-2031 Compliant: The power handling specifications for the R2SD4-12 subwoofer conform to CEA-2031 industry standards. This means the subwoofer has the capacity to handle power under continuous demand, not instantaneous power handling, that over time, can damage voice coils.

Greetings Jacob. Thank you for checking first. That Harmony Audio amp puts out 600 watts RMS at 2 ohms which this sub is. But, this sub is rated for 250 watts RMS. The Harmony Audio amp has way too much power for this sub.

We do not qualify universal subwoofers like the Rockford Fosgate R2S-1X12, Christopher. What we advise is taking some accurate measurements and comparing to the listed dimensions of the box below for reference. 27-1/4" Wide 13-1/2" High 5-1/4" Depth 1 x 3-3/8" Depth 2 Any items that simply do not fit after due diligence are available for return within the first 60-days so no worries!

Greetings Bubba, and thank you for your question. Amplifiers would normally have a fuse, or an inline fuse, but not passive subwoofers. you might think about contacting the fine people at Rockford Fosgate if its still under warranty.

We do not provide any fitment measurements for universal subwoofers, Ryan. I would take accurate measurements of your space and compare to the listed specs for the sweet Rockford Fosgate R2S-1X12 below: 27-1/4"Width 13-1/2" Height 5-1/4" D1 (bottom of box) x 3-3/8" D2(top of box) While measuring twice before purchase helps, any items that just do not fit are always returnable within the first 60-days for a refund. Unfortunately, we only have measurements for the area behind the seats. The measurements for this subwoofer and enclosure are 27-1/4"W x 13-1/2"H x 5-1/4"D1 x 3-3/8"D2. Based on the photos I've reviewed of the area under the seats, it seems unlikely this will fit, but you may check measurements on your truck to be sure.

Should fit. It Fit in my regular cab chevy Scottsdale, didn't even have to move the seat up, locked all the way against the back of the cab, and still had enough room to move. Also fit under the bench on my passenger side, I would say yours will be a better candidate

I installed my sub in a 1996 Ford crew cab 4x4. It easily fit behind the back seat of my truck. Your truck being a 2014 should have as much room as I did in my 1996 to install this unit. The sound quality is awesome !

Fosgate does not make a grill for this speaker. I took normal screen from a storm door. Squared it and place wood stripes over the edges after I had painted the wood black

Hi Rodney, thanks for your question. We do have some measurements on available space for a subwoofer enclosure in your '03 Chevy S10, EXT Cab. We are showing these Measurements that were taken behind the driver's seat. Width (side to side) = 26", Depth (front to rear) = 6 1/2" at bottom, 4" at top, Height = 22". I bought the amp that matches this sub and it came with a remote for bass, if that's what you mean. If it is what you mean then yes, any amp that works with this sub will most likely have a port/plug in that allows a bass remote. As far as amps, if I remember correctly you're going to need a 4 ohm amp to power this sub.

Not sure, I have mine behind the seat of my standard cab Silverado. It might be too wide tho, the 10" box is much more narrow maybe a better choice for you.
