About the Rockford Fosgate T1S1-10

A new frontier
A new frontier
For decades, subwoofer makers have strived to have the biggest and most powerful subs. But in a market dominated by smaller cars and trucks, the focus has shifted to building high-performance subs that are small enough to fit in today's vehicles. Rockford Fosgate understands the need for great bass, and their Power Series T1 slim subwoofers deliver jaw-dropping performance without taking up a lot of space.

Big bass, small space
Big sound, small package
The Power Series T1S1-10 subwoofer uses a neodymium motor structure with high-strength magnets to help minimize mounting depth. Rockford Fosgate developed new construction technologies to fit a 3-inch voice coil in a 10" sub with a mounting depth of only 3", then used their Vertical Attach Surround Technique (VAST) to increase cone area for fatter bass. It all adds up to power handling of up to 500 watts RMS in a shockingly small package.
This sub's 1-ohm impedance makes it a great candidate for multiple sub setups or for getting max power from high-performance mono amps. You'll love the big bass sound these subwoofers deliver, and you'll appreciate the slim design when you're looking for a place for bass in your vehicle.

Features
CEA-2031 Compliant: The power rating on the T1S1-10 subwoofer conforms to CEA-2031 industry standards, meaning it has the capacity to handle its rated power under continuous demand.
Klippel Verified: The Klippel distortion analyzer, a device that uses a laser and sophisticated software to do large-scale analysis of drivers in motion, lets Rockford Fosgate optimize the sub's motor structure, voice coil alignment, and suspension to yield the best possible performance.
EVCC: Rockford Fosgate's Encapsulated Voice Coil Coupling (EVCC, Patent Pending) technology connects to the subwoofer's voice coil from both the top and bottom and provides a more secure mounting platform for both the dual spiders and cone assembly.
SYMS: Unlike a traditional motor assembly, Split Yoke Motor Technology (Patent Pending) moves the magnet inside the voice coil. This design allows greater excursion than typical shallow subwoofers.
VAST Surround: The Vertical Attach Surround Technique (VAST) increases a speaker's effective radiating cone area without increasing the size of the basket.
FlexFit Basket: The Flex Fit frame utilizes slots (where possible) instead of single screw sized holes; allowing slight adjustment of the speaker when mounted.
Anodized Aluminum Voice Coil Former: Aluminum voice coil formers offer superior heat dissipation over other commonly used materials. The hard-anodized finish increases the former strength. These two factors combine to improve the overall power handling characteristics of the subwoofer.
Spring Terminals: The spring terminals are designed to accept up to 10-gauge wire.
Trim Ring: The T1S1-10 comes with an aluminum trim ring that mounts over the flange of the woofer. When using the optional T1SG-10 grille (item number 575T1SG10, sold separately), the grille is sandwiched between the subwoofer flange and the trim ring.
Enclosure Compatibility
Sealed Box Volume: The optimum sealed box volume is 0.8 ft³, with 0.5 ft³ to 1.0 ft³ acceptable. A 0.8 ft³ enclosure results in a 3dB down point of 40.3 Hz and a Qtc of 1.1 (enclosure damping).
Vented Box Volume: The recommended vented box volume is 1.5 ft³. One 4" diameter x 14-1/4" long port should be used, resulting in a tuning frequency of 40 Hz and a 3dB down point of 30 Hz. A subsonic filter set at or above 27 Hz is also recommended.
