I had purchased the BT-45 module for my sisters 2001 Lexus RX300 non-nakamichi with CD changer, but needed this adapter to make the connection plug and play. Ordered this part with overnight shipping, plugged it in and working like a charm. Thanks

Functional, required, and easy to install

2002 Lexus RX300
Purchased a usa-spec toy-bt45 and was stoked to learn I needed another part (this one), for product functionality in a 2003 Lexus RX300 w/o Navigation and rear seat entertainment. The harness worked and I was able to retain CD changer functionality (albeit a moot point, no one uses cd's anymore, sad face), and the blue tooth interface functioned as desired. I was less than pleased to pay 26 dollars for this part, but what are you gonna do?

Not sure I needed this

2003 Lexus RX300
I installed the BT35-TOY in an 03 Lexus RX300. Everywhere on the web instructed me that this was necessary for my install although they didn't state why. In getting the cable it looks like a standard splitter that is used to connection the BT35 and the CD changer and to retain it's use. Had I known that I wouldn't have bothered as I could care less about about the CD changer. I haven't touched on in years. Anyway, I fought to get the two working together with this cable and ended up calling it quits and disconnecting the CD player. No loss anyway.
Pros: Connected easily
Cons: It would have been nice to know why I needed it so I could have avoided purchasing it.
