Onboard Battery Charger (2 Banks/10 Amps): The Noco Genius GEN5X2 is an Onboard Battery Charger for charging and maintaining up to two 12-volt Marine, Starter, or Deep-Cycle batteries, providing up to 5-amps for each bank. Its rugged waterproof, shock, and vibration resistant design allows it to be mounted directly onto a variety of craft and vehicles including boats, gas vehicles, electric vehicles, and industrial equipment. Compatible Battery Types: The GEN5X2 Series Onboard Battery Charger is suitable for charging all types of 12V lead-acid batteries - including Wet Cell (Flooded), Gel Cell, AGM, Calcium, Maintenance-Free, and 12V Lithium-ion batteries. The GEN5X2 Onboard Battery Charger can be used on battery sizes up to 120Ah, and can also maintain all battery sizes.

Its designed to operate in extreme conditions with a waterproof, shock, and vibration resistant rugged construction, as well as, saltwater tested to combat corrosion. Efficient, Compact Design: A mix of electrical engineering & industrial design create a powerful, yet space-efficient charger that can easily in or near your craft or equipment. It uses high-frequency switch-mode technology to efficiency convert AC power into safe DC power for battery charging. And it's onboard microcomputer precisely controls the charging to minimize power loss to create an incredibly compact form factor.

Protection Circuitry: The GEN5X2 is a non-igniting and temperature controlled onboard battery charger for safe and worry-free operation. Its built-in redundant levels of safety protection  protect against adverse and abnormal conditions - like reverse polarity, overcharging, bad batteries, and overheating. Four front-panel Error LEDs will provide a visual indication for each error.

Intelligent Maintenance Technology: Most manual, automatic or semi-automatic battery chargers continuously trickle charge batteries, making them susceptible to overcharge, which limits battery life. Noco's intelligent battery maintenance technology monitors battery activity and only begins charging when needed, and allows for continuous operation without user intervention and zero risks of overcharging your battery. An integrated thermal sensor detects the ambient temperature and alters the charge to eliminate over-charging in hot climates (up to 104°F) and under-charging in cold climates (down to -4°F). The charger can be left connected to the battery indefinitely.

12V Repair: 12V Repair is an advanced battery recovery mode for repairing and storing old, idle, damaged, stratified or sulfated batteries. Batteries tend to become damaged if kept at a low charge and/or never receive a full charge. Battery sulfation and stratification will artificially raise the open circuit voltage of the battery, causing it to appear fully charged while providing low capacity. 12V Repair tries to reverse these problems and is best performed after taking the battery through a full charge cycle.

Force Mode: Noco's new start-voltage sensor allows the Genius GEN5X2 charger to detect and charge dead batteries as low as 1 volt. For batteries lower than 1 volt, the charger's Force Mode can be activated and will charge batteries down to 0 volts.

Charging Modes: With the Noco Genius GEN5X2, you can simply push of a button to switch between various charging modes within one, complete multi-purpose battery charger.

• 12V (14.5V/5A): For charging 12-volt Wet Cell, Gel Cell, Enhanced Flooded, Maintenance-Free and Calcium batteries (up to 120Ah). When selected, the white 12V LED will illuminate.
• 12V AGM (14.8V/5A): For charging 12-volt advanced AGM batteries (up to 120Ah), which requires a higher than normal charging voltage. When selected, the white 12V AGM LED will illuminate.
• 12V Lithium (14.6V/5A): For charging 12-volt Lithium-ion batteries (up to 120Ah), including Lithium iron phosphate. When selected, the blue 12V Lithium LED will illuminate. For use on batteries with Battery Management Systems (BMS) only.
• Force Mode (5A): For charging batteries (up to 120Ah) with a voltage lower than 1V. This charge mode will operate for 5 mins, then return to standard charging mode. When selected, all charge mode LEDs will flash while in Force Mode.
• 12V Repair (16.5V/5A/Any capacity): An advanced battery recovery mode for repairing and storing, old, idle, damaged, stratified or sulfated batteries. When selected, a red 12V Repair LED will illuminate and flash.
• Standby (No Power): In standby mode, the charger is not charging or providing any power to the battery. Energy Save is activated during this mode, drawing microscopic power from the electrical outlet. When selected, the orange Standby LED will illuminate.

Charging Times: The time required for the GEN5X2 to charge a normally discharged battery is shown below. Deeply discharged batteries may take longer to charge depending on the depth of discharge (DOD). The charge time is based on an average depth of discharge to a fully charged battery.

Charge LEDs: The charger has four Charge LEDs (25, 50, 75, &100%). This Charge LED indicates the connected battery's state-of-charge (SOC).

• The 25% Charge LED will slowly pulse when the battery is less than 25% fully charged. When the battery is 25% charged, the red Charge LED will be solid.
• The 50% Charge LED will slowly pulse when the battery is less than 50% fully charged. When the battery is 50% charged, the red Charge LED will be solid
• The 75% Charge LED will slowly pulse when the battery is less than 75% fully charged. When the battery is 75% charged, the orange Charge LED will be solid.
• The 100% Charge LED will slowly pulse when the battery is less than 100% fully charged. When the battery is fully charged, the green LED will be solid, and the 25%, 50% and 75% Charge LEDs will turn off.
• During maintenance charging, the 100% Charge LED will pulse slowly. When the battery is topped off and fully charged again, the 100% Charge LED will turn solid green.

Mounting & Installation: The GEN5X2 has two external holes for mounting (screws included). It is important to keep in mind the distance to the battery. The GEN5X2 is outfitted with an attached 6' AC power cord and two 6' DC cables. The AC power cord is terminated by an IEC 3-prong AC plug, while the 6' DC cables are terminated by power & ground eyelets (3/8").
