Appears to perform as advertised. Happy so far.

This unit has to be the best value on the market. It can be used on any 6 or 12 volt battery, including lithium. The unit is not rated for batteries over 30 amp hrs, mainly because it's a battery tender not a charger.

I am storing my 2017 Mustang GT in my garage for the winter and this neat little device is keeping my battery charged and ready when I need it. NICE!
Pros: Worry free
Cons: I can't close the hood.

Baltimore

Nice compact charger/maintainer. At 1 amp it is a little slow but severely discharged batteries need slow charging to restore lost capacity. I used it to charge a suspect battery and after trying to bring it back to life for 4 days it did error out showing a short in the battery. Took battery to autozone and they tested it and sure enough it came up as bad. Topped off my new battery which took 8 hours but battery now shows 13.1 volts vs 12.4 (AGM) which had been on the shelf for 4 months. Works like a charm but I'm going to go up to a genius 5 or 10 to reduce normal charging times and use the 1 for maintaining my two cars.
Pros: Small form factor. Works on several types of 12v batteries
Cons: A little slow on larger car batteries being that it's only 1 amp.

Exceptional value
Crutchfield customer from Stanton, CA on 6/24/2020
Excellent product made with substantial and good quality materials. I am not too technically savvy and had some concerns about being able to use this sophisticated product. But unit was an easy "plug and play" solution to my problem. Hooked up my battery, plugged the unit into the electrical outlet, connected the two electrical connections, pressed the "mode" button to select my battery type, viola'. Only real complaint is that the instruction booklet was in exceptionally small print, maybe a 6-8 point font. But YouTube videos gave brief instructions. Kinda wish I had gone with the Genius 5 now because it has the Battery Desulfator feature that I think would be helpful.
Pros: Easy to use Quality construction Well designed
Cons: Instruction booklet difficult to read due to the size of print font
