Awesome product! Put all four in my 2014 Subaru outback. Just like how it says, peel the backing and adhere to the door skin on the inside very easy! Took away vibration and speaker feedback! I am totally amazed by this product works great! I would highly recommend these, when, putting in aftermarket speakers takes away vibration, even on the outside of the door! Two thumbs up!

GRASS VALLEY

I used a couple sets on the inside of a custom subwoofer cabinet in my motorhome. I lined the cabinet with hush mat then put the wave breakers on top. Made a big improvement in the sound. Significantly reduced the coloration of the woofer and tightened up the bass. Ordering more for putting behind the Focal 6.5" coaxial. Big thumbs up ??

EASY and quick

Not sure if it acoustically makes the sound better but I have a car with relatively thin metal behind the speaker location. Prepositioned it to make sure it was placed properly and for window clearance. Make sure surface was clean of dirt and grease. Peeled off the back and heated it to soften the adhesive. When I put in place I went from top to bottom trying not to trap any air. I used a roller to push out the remaining air and to molded it to the contours. Easy. I put this on instead of deadening material incase I want to remove it. Going to get another set for the rear doors.

The Hushmat Wave Breakers were used behind a pair of JL Audio C2 525X speakers. Along with sound deadening tape and batting. The sound quality is greatly improved.

Say goodbye to distortion!

Installed these behind my woofers in the front doors of my car and wow, these really clean up your mid bass and the sound from your woofers in general. Super easy install and really great adhesive. These cleaned up the sound in my car quite a bit. I was initially skeptical that something seemingly so simple could do so much but boy do they work!

Easy Upgrade

Easy to install, sticks like crazy. Had to cut rear door pads in half to split the door crossbar and the pads cut easily with regular scissors. Simple upgrade. Hard to compare sound difference with/without, since I also replaced the factory speakers at the same time.

Improved Sound Quality

Installed behind the front door speakers in my Jeep Renegade. The door interior has a reinforcing beam that didn't allow for placement directly behind the speaker. I chose not to cut the foam, but placed it in the closest flat area. While not optimum, I believe it reduces reflection within the door. The weight of the foam should reduce the effect of door resonance. My impression is that sound quality has improved.

Great Bargain

So my honest opinion on these. From what I read on the forums they're not REALLY all that useful. But the price wasn't so bad that I needed to really be sure before spending money on them. I added these in my Cadillac CTS along with a decent amount of Dynamat Xtreme. So all in all it was a little difficult to determine if the Dynamat or the Wave Breakers made the most difference. I mean I know the Dynamat made a noticeable difference. But did the Wave Breakers multiply that improvement? Not sure. But all together the sound quality did firm up a good amount. I guess it doesn't hurt to add these in your install if you're trying to make the best of your install or even factory speakers. It will be better than without. Is it gonna make your factory speakers sound like amplified $800 Morels? No. But its all the little improvements added up that make a difference. And I hear no reason to advise against these

They are easy to install, but I also don't notice a positive difference. I replaced speakers and included this with the upgrade. The system is much louder but bass doesn't seem as good as the old OEM speakers honestly. I also added sound deadening lining to the doors and don't notice much difference there either. Seems like I may have wasted my money and time doing all the install work.

Used the hushmat in a 90 VW Vanagon door which is pretty much a flat sheet of steel. Had a lot of vibration- distortion before but the hushmat toned it down and now the music can be heard clearly at higher volumes. Adhesive backing was easy to apply and overall am pleased with the outcome.

1st time buyer, now lifetime customer!

Preface: I used copious equal amounts of noico sound deadening in all 4 doors in my RAV4 and I'm using Jbl club components in front and Jbl club coaxial a in rear. However, I have hushmat in the front doors only. Front sound is much more clear and loud, and bass is substantial compared to rear speakers, even when I sat in the back seat to review my install. Since the speakers are of the same manufacturer, same size, same woofer and same tweeter and same product line then my best guess is the better quality sound is primarily due to the hushmat. I highly recommend it! I'd never go without hush mat for the front stage again.

Overpriced

This didn't seem as nice as the RetroSound deadening material I got, and I think it is more expensive. Not really impressed, especially for the price.

Combine with the baffle, and you can barely hear music on the outside of. My f150. Which means the sound waves are contained in the truck.

Put them right to the back of the speaker & some around the sides (kinda made a cone) there is absolutely no door noise at all used the leftover material for my license plate rattle stuck it to the back then remounted stopped all that unwanted noise

Used this in conjunction with sound deadening on a 77 F150 and it was worth every penny! Would recommend to anyone looking for the most out of an older vehicle. Never tried it in a newer vehicle, but I can't imagine that it would hurt anything.

Wave Breaker Indeed!

During the course of product research and installation of a factory replacement receiver and a pair of speakers in my 1992 Ford F150 I came across the Hushmat product. After reading the description and its purpose (and since the doors of the truck are essentially just hollow metal panels) it only made sense to use Hushmat Wave Breaker to prevent distortion. One mat each mounted directly behind each speaker on the inside of the door using via the peel and stick backing and that was that. In a before and after test it was quite evident that the Hushmat Wave Breaker did exactly what it was supposed to. Even before sealing all the openings in the doors with a sound deadening barrier it was clear that Hushmat Wave Breaker nullified any wave distortion!

Hushmat is a very good product

I don't know all the specifics behind the Hushmat but it does work I used to get alot of noises from my doors, now that I put the Hushmat back behind the speakers on the inside of the door just great sound now.
