Secure connections without tools

OMG! My favorite way to connect wires! I've installed many car audio systems for over 30 years. I've used just about every method to connect wires. In a cramped environment, like in a car, these connectors made my life easier compared to other methods. These connectors result in very secure connections that can be done quickly and without any tools. Worth every penny.

Great Solder alternative

These little connectors are great for quick installations. The only thing to keep in mind is to make sure you feed the connectors enough wire, just enough to pass the other side of the tube, otherwise the wires will disconnect when you least expect it.

Poor Connector

These Connectors didn't work at all, the wires would just slide out. I ended up using old fashioned Wire Nuts.

I put this on everything!

These are absolutely fantastic wire nuts. I'm admittedly not very good with wiring. In my youth, I'd use traditional wire nuts for my stereo installs and almost always had to take everything back apart back down the road (pun intended) to fix poor connections. I used these on an old Jeep around a decade ago and fell in love. These things are easy to use, dummy proof, and ALWAYS make a strong, secure connection. I've even forced heavier than recommended wire into these, or 3-4 regular wires into a single nut and always made it work. If you are on the fence, by them. Trust me.

Work well, super simple, not perfect, bit pricey

Ultimately these are super simple and do the trick but they aren't the cleanest (I'd prefer something that attaches in line rather than having both wires go in the same end) and it can be tough to crank down twisting them into place, the knurling can shred the tips of your fingers without noticing it. A bit expensive for a few tiny pieces of plastic.

I'm normally a big fan of using solder and heat shrink tubing when doing new wire connections with auto electronics. These connectors worked like a charm and saved a great deal of time. So far no connections have had any problems.

Easy to use and effective

So easy to use! I had never done any wiring before but I felt confident that my wires were well connected and tight. As a woman I don't have that much hand strength and I felt more confident I was making a solid connection with these screw-on connectors instead of crimping with a hand tool.

I used to be a crimp guy, but I decided to give these a try because of everyone's feedback. They definately get the job done! I was initially skeptical because of the lack of a "wire nut" design and no metal inside to keep the wires twisted tight for the best surface area like a crimp or butt splice would provide. It looks like it's just a piece of plastic that punches into the twisted wires to sandwich them inside the connector, but it sure seems to work. Can be very difficult, if not impossible for larger gauge wires, but they worked for all the standard car stereo connections, including the larger yellow and black power wires, but that was because the factory yellow and black wires were smaller compared to the radio side, so both could be shoved into the bottom piece before twisting on the top cap. No issues as far as I can tell. Hand tightened all of them as much as I could, and there was just a little space after hand tightening and that's because the wires are twisted inside right at the insulation strip point. They worked with no problems, no soldering, no crimping, just hand twist after stripping 1/2" of insulation on the radio wires (so obviously you need a quality wire stripper). Worked perfectly with the pre-stripped lengths on the Metra harnesses, so really can't ask for anything more than that!

These are very neat connectors that I'd never seen before. As a man of a million solder connections, I'm wary of anything else. For a radio, which is stationary and not vital to the function of the automobile in general, I was willing to give these a try. Once all my connections were made, I bundled everything together with electrical tape. I can't see any reason why these would fail under normal circumstances. Plus, when I realized I should have connected the amp wire along with the power antenna wires, it was easy enough to just unscrew the connection and add it in. Had I soldered it, I would have had to cut the wires, added it in, resolder, and re-heat shrink it all over again. Pretty cool little invention.

These things are great. Where we they 30 years ago? Easy to undo and redo. A tiny bit bulky compared to soldering wire, but for the convenience, it's probably worth it.

Not as clean as a soldering iron, but very easy to use

Strip the ends of the wires to be spliced, twist them together, poke them into the short end of the connector, screw down the long end. Done. If you don't twist, and push them far enough into the connector, the wires could simply pull out. So give it a test tug when you're done. If you don't own a soldering iron, spend $10 on amazon and get a simple one (and don't forget the heat shrink to cover the splice, and don't burn yourself or anything else not intended to be burned). Then the only excuse you'll have to use these is if you're like me and occasionally get too lazy to do the little bit of work it takes to make a decent, space saving soldered splice. If you're that lazy, these things are right up your alley. They do manage to make a splice take up about 8 times as much space as it otherwise would since the spliced wire goes from being a simple inline 'I' to a 'V', but hey, they're easy.

I've had bad luck with a similar product in the past so almost didn't get these, Dwayne the rep assured me they're worth it and I was installing two different units in 2 different cars so I got two packs. These are awesome! Nit cheap flimsy plastic these are hard plastic and lock on and off easy! These made the whole setup take 30min or more less time and for anyone who has a cut harness or needs to trouble shoot wires these are easy for quick connection and disconnect scenarios!

Easy peasy

I've generally soldered wires together and insulated them with heat shrink before, but after a recent move I couldn't find my soldering iron so I gave these a shot to get a head unit project done expeditiously. They worked with no issues - I'd still recommend soldering if possible, but if that's a no-go, these seem to work well.
