Amazing colors, better than expected sound
Chiranjeeb from Lambertville, NJ on 7/1/2025
Great TV so far. Vivid colors, and brightness is pretty good as well (our room has about medium ambient light). It was a scratch-and-dent unit, but honestly, I can't see any flaws at all anywhere. LG's WebOS is a bit slow to navigate, but picture quality is amazing. The sound is decent as well for a TV, though I have a separate system that I use normally.
Pros: Great picture quality, decent sound.
Cons: OS is a bit laggy. Some settings are too deeply buried.

Very Glitchy Apps
Sean from Blandon, PA on 6/23/2025
I purchased this TV to replace my Vizio P65E1 which had a power supply failure after 8 years. Would I have paid the original price for this LG? No. For this price and with the plethora of good reviews, I was pretty confident I made a good decision. I also highly considered LG due to inheriting a 4k 75" from a family member who passed. That TV took three hours to clean all the smoke and grime off and it is still working to this day. I inherited a TV that was never turned off. It had 36,000 hours on it then! ( higher now after 3 years of use) This new 65" TV does have a really good picture. My Oppo 203 4K optical player looks amazing and so does 8K YouTube content. The problem is, many apps are glitchy and the TV crashes at least 2 to 3 times per evening when using apps. Everything is updated properly as well. YouTube experiences the most crashes. No issues when using external sources.
Pros: Great picture. AI picture setup wizard works well. Easy to wall mount, GUI is logical.
Cons: Needs huge improvement with apps. My big box store brand TV for the kids room functions way better when using apps and it was only $250.

Beautiful Picture
Raymond from Ocala, FL on 6/21/2025
The LG is amazing.....the way Crutchfield screwed around with the star rating dropping it by 1/2 a star from 5 to 4 1/2 after I purchased the set and then raising the price by $100 right before I ordered the TV was a bit unCrutchfield like. Did NOT appreciate that one bit and hey, you guys just made me more consumer centric by forcing myself to NOT trust anyone selling things I'm thinking about purchasing without fully investigating PRICE plus SERVICE. Shameful.
Pros: Very happy with the LG!
Cons: Crutchfeild has lost its "sheen" for me. SHOP THEIR PRICE EVERYWHERE!

These new TVs are horrible. They are complete junk
Frank from BOSTON, MA on 6/8/2025
LG is the worst company you could buy anything from their warranty isn't worth a piece of toilet paper. They stand behind nothing.
Pros: Picture is not bad if you can actually adjust your brain to see it. Everything goes by so quickly you can't even process it.
Cons: Every single one of these companies that sell TVs stand behind nothing especially LG. All their reviews are fake definitely fake. This company stands behind nothing their warranty is not worth a piece of toilet paper to wipe you behind with on every single product they sell. Sony is no better And Samsung is the exact same way also all of these big manufacturers stand behind. Nothing their product is junk TVs today. Don't last a year. They are complete junk and I've heard this from repair people

LG OLED C4 is astoundingly good!
Steve from STARKVILLE, MS on 5/2/2025
OUTSTANDING sound and features, sheesh! Daisy, bless her, sold em to me. Tucker helped too. GREAT customer service. and FAST, prefect delivery! Dang! Set-up was EASY! I prepared in advance by reading and understanding the .pdf manual. Paired with Klipsch RP8000F2 speakers, LG 55" OLED, Klipsch R120-SW sub-woof doohickee, and a Sony UBP-800M2 ... on and some Cleer Enduro ANC wireless phones which I haven't tried yet. I got the system set-up and started watching Blu-ray, listening to CD's, LG and other content provided, and hooked up Amazon and You-tube. The TV is thin and rock-solid on its base stand. The TV remote now controls the Blu-ray too. The picture is astoundingly clear, bright, and saturated with color. Gorgeous OLED and detail with HDR or similar 4K- 8K sources. Set-up is EASY and intuitive. Amazing TV! Thank you, Daisy, for the great advice and service, and Crutchfield for your site, product selection, FAST delivery, and instructional information on your site. Y'all make it EASY!!!
Pros: 1. Ease of set-up and using features. 2. GORGEOUS picture 3. Thin and rock solid on its supplied base. 4, Crutchfield customer service, info articles, and FAST, perfect delivery.
Cons: 1. None so far. Color saturation and clarity is a big step up from my laptop screen. :D I'm adapting.

Rivals the Pioneer Kuro Elite
Patrick from Lexington, KY on 4/25/2025
This is the first display I've purchased since two Pioneer Kuro Elite's. It's certainly the first TV that has rivaled the picture quality (video processing and blacks) of the Kuro. I have the C4 installed in a west facing living room with large picture windows and I was very surprised at the brightness which is more than adequate in the daylight. I'll likely need to decrease the brightness for nighttime viewing. It handles reflections well with good off-axis picture quality. With some fast-moving images I still think the Kuro was slightly smoother, but the support for newer video standards and brightness more than makes up for it. Lots of dials to tweak so I may be able to improve that aspect. I'm happy with the purchase.
Pros: Very deep blacks, brightness, and video processing. Closest I've seen to the Pioneer Elite and uses less than half the wattage.
Cons: Still expensive in relation to up-and-coming LED technologies that get close to the quality of the C4 for less money.

LG OLED83C4PUA
Jon from Bend, OR on 4/11/2025
I had an excellent buying experience, as the TV shipped same day as my order and arrived in perfect condition a few days later. Setup was not documented well, and the remote took a while to get used to, but it was easy enough to figure out. Out of the box the picture is truly fantastic, and the sound is adequate for a small room. I reused an older Pioneer Dolby Elite receiver, a B&W center speaker, PMC tower R/L speakers & a new 4K Sony TV, which complicated my particular setup. For sound, I chose the receiver ARC output and the LG ARC input connected by Crutchfield's 2.1 HDMI cables. For video, I used a Blu-ray player for old movies and the Apple TV for everything else. Note that there is a separate video setup for each modality - SDR, HRD, and Dolby Vision - and setup videos are readily available on You Tube. Also note: the TV detects the mode, & the 4K Apple TV on its highest setting makes changes to the signal so that all modalities are detected by the TV as "DV". Therefore, to complete the video setup I selected 1) SDR from my Blu-ray input, 2) HDR from YouTube TV with Apple TV set for HDR and 3) DV from Netflix with Apple TV set for DV (and I left this as the default setting). A pleasant surprise is that I can now turn all components on and off with the Apple remote, replacing the LG interface and remote! I can't say that this will work for other configurations, so some trial and error will be needed if you go down this path. I am very happy with the final result.
Pros: Great picture Good sound Good value Prompt delivery
Cons: Screen ads cannot be turned off, but can be bypassed by using an Apple TV or other input device.

A step up from a 15 year old TV.
Andrew from New York, NY on 2/24/2025
I felt guilty throwing out our 15 year old Samsung TV, which still had fine picture quality. But the improved ease of use with streaming of the "smarter" unit makes a big difference. The picture quality is also sharper -- but not enough to make much of a difference in the experience. The installation was completely intuitive and way simpler than with the 15 year old set. The toggling between streaming and cable is a little more cumbersome than might be idea -- and took some fiddling to figure out.

Arthur from New York, NY on 2/10/2025
The TV display and sound are excellent. Overall, I am very pleased with the product. There are three areas that were problematic-set up literature, the web browser app and no PBS app. The set up literature was just a few paragraphs and did not have any information on navigating the screen. I ended up searching for videos to work out how to use the product. The web browser app does not work, and gives a "service temporarily not available" error message. I searched for videos and most of them all point to the WiFi connection. Suggestions for fixes were all "pull the plug etc". I did all of that, but ended up doing a hard reset of the TV. Unfortunately, that did not fix the app. This is not a big deal as I did not intend to search the web on the TV, but it should have worked. Last, LG does not have an app to access PBS. Installing a ROKU streaming stick solved the PBS problem and gave access to all of other channels.

Great Picture, worth the learning curve
Bruce R from Saint Joseph, MO on 12/21/2024
This is my first OLED screen TV and the picture is impressive. If I could give a half star I'd rate this 4.5 due to the steepness of the learning curve for a first time "smart" tv owner. Crutchfield tech assistance has been very helpful, but in my mind if I can learn it on my own I'll retain more of what I've leaned, so I've watched a lot of videos and got most of it under my belt. In retrospect, my struggles may have been self-inflicted. Having said that, my biggest complaint is that the written instructions for setting up the tv are completely inadequate. Also, I find the Magic Remote anything but magical - it is annoying. Counterintuitively, you have to click on and accept the AI voice agreement, before you can inactivate the AI voice control (crazy right?). Along the way I learned about the Pixel Cleaning function; (if you don't properly understand this function, you can ruin your tv). A personal recommendation: keep all the styrofoam packing materials and the box. If you move (or have to return the unit) the delicate nature of the OLED screen needs to be accounted for. On the positive side, the picture is phenomenal, and once you figure out the navigation between devices it is a pretty smooth operation. Time spent understanding the systems is worthwhile. With what you pay for one of these babies, I recommend buying a protection plan. I shopped around before buying from Crutchfield, and their plans are very reasonable.

Despite all the accolades about the picture and the techno jargon, the operating system used does not natively support the streaming service that I am moving too. I do not like the app content provided and the entire slate of settings and adjustments made is confusing and full of terminology I do not understand. The remote is cheaply made and this TV is really made for gamers. I'm sending at back (losing a of my savings from this black friday deal) when doing so. Not happy.

Great for video!
Richard from Green River, WY on 12/11/2024
Nice TV Very bright with neon like colors. I can see how the menu is confusing for some. You can access the settings without agreeing and turn off most of it and get the updates. In the home setting you can turn off promos. In the power on menu you can set it to go to recent input on power on to never see the home screen again. You can turn off the indicator light. Has a switch to turn off microphone. Picture is good, I do not use the sound as I have a nice stereo for that. I did not know that it can get screen burn in, so be careful of that-read the manual. I use it as a monitor, but it is best for video. Shipping was good some damage to the box but ok, Crutchfield was great as always. TV is well built and looks nice on the wall. Remote feels good in the hand and the pointer is ok.
Pros: Bright colors Good gaming screen Well built Great for video
Cons: Power and screen saving can dim screen Screen burn in Menu navigation has buried settings

Great TV, annoying default settting
Richard N from Cortlandt Mnr, NY on 12/11/2024
Beautiful, bright picture and easy setup. What's annoying is when the set powers up, it defaults to the LG "home" screen, where it displays your streaming options, makes recommendations, etc. If you just want to watch the video from your AV receiver on the HDMI 1 port, you must use the remote to select your last input source. It's an annoying extra step. I think LG wants you to hit the home screen first because then they have your eyeballs and engagement. It is possible to change the power on default to the last input, but it's buried in the settings: Press the Settings button on the remote Select All Settings Select General Select System Select Additional settings Select Home settings Select Power on screen Choose the desired initial screen Other than that, I love it. It's a fabulous set, with lots of great technology and features.

Cynthia from St Pete Beach, FL on 12/8/2024
The picture on the TV is AMAZING! I received the best support from Crutchfield, from ordering, and shipping to support when we hooked it up to our receiver and my husband's hearing aids. I cannot recommend buying from Crutchfield enough. Nolan was so knowledgeable and helpful. He was aware of what settings were needed to get everything to work together. Ian immediately diagnosed why my Blue Ray player was not putting out a 4K video. It is such a relief to know that when you purchase these expensive systems, someone will actually help ensure they are properly set up to deliver what they are capable of. I will always purchase my electronics from Crutchfield.

Visual & audio are fantastic!
Me from SAN FRANCISCO, CA on 12/5/2024
1st day, pleased so far. Got the 48", comes w/ 2 feet (if not wall hanging). When 1st turned on there's a SUPER FAST audio voice reading the screen (initially thought it was Chinese for a split second but it's English - I believe it's what the other reviewer was talking abt). Guided thru prompts to turn that off. Who thought it was a great idea to have speed reading upon start for the audio disabled (had to laugh it's so ridiculous)? Side viewing is excellent, and no glare what-so-ever which is even better (I have it next to a sliding glass window)! All colors easily seen. The cord is 5 feet long and the hook-ups are vertical on the left side. The sound is fantastic particularly w/ the AI feature, at 10 it's normal, can't imagine having it at 100. Much crisper than pics show. I'm an antenna/stream watcher, so it's not hooked up to the internet. Antenna channels are clear and it has a TV guide for local channels too after set-up which is FANTASTIC!! Might have show alerts too, still trying to figure it all out. The remote control has a laser-like ability visually showing where it's pointed similar to a computer mouse, and optional, arrow buttons work too. I wish the font had a larger option than large but it's still good. I'm a bit confused w/ the multiple menus, wish they were all in one place but it's probably just me being unfamiliar w/ the screen, icons (w/ no words), remote buttons and an advanced TV like this. Doesn't show time. No regrets
Pros: - Crisp visual; - No glare from window right next to it; - Sound is great; - Excellent side view; - Has TV guide, great for antenna users; - Remote control shaped comfortably to fit hand; - Can position closed captioning to bottom of screen
Cons: - Multiple menu's a bit confusing. Some easy to use but difficult if no words accompany the icon; - Remote control laser (mouse-like) a bit too senstive (but still cool) & occasionally moved by itself; - Some menu font words too small; - No time/date shown on screen (doesn't look like it can be pulled up)

The colors are beautiful. The picture is razor sharp. I bought an LG OLED 77. inch from Crutchfield about two years ago. This new OLED evo seems to be even a little better, and I thought that prior TV was amazing. One thing I noticed was that the preferences/settings menu on the 77 inch TV seems significantly larger and more detailed than on the 65 inch set. Not sure why that seems to be the case. Maybe I just need to read the new manual and learn more about the new set's options.

While it won't replace a dedicated sound system, the audio is clear and immersive enough for casual viewing. Design The sleek, ultra-thin design is beautiful and adds a touch of modern elegance to my living room. The TV is lightweight and easy to mount. Smart Features LG's webOS platform is intuitive and packed with features. It supports all the popular streaming apps, and the Magic Remote makes navigating and voice control effortless. Verdict Overall, the LG OLED55C4PUA delivers exceptional value. It's perfect for movies, gaming, and everyday TV watching. If you're looking for a premium OLED TV, this one is worth every penny!

Beautiful colors and blacks. Nothing put positives on this TV. I purchased this one because it only weighed 31 pounds; where my older 55" LG OLED weighed 41 pounds. For wall hanging I wanted the lighter weight.

LG used oled65c4
Antonio from Assonet, MA on 10/28/2024
The tv I bought is used. And there is a small nick on the screen. It goes away when the tv is on also there was 77hrs on the tv. With that being said what a picture. I have a lg oled77c1 down stairs and that's a nice picture. but the c4 is a great upgrade for the bedroom. And the 65 inch was a lot cheaper. We replace our 55 inch and the 65 is over 20 pounds lighter. That made it a lot easier to mount on the wall. And I would buy again.
Pros: 4 HDMI 2.1, picture , price,
Cons: Do not buy use. And shipping took ten days.

Customer for life
James from Howard, OH on 10/27/2024
This is a great TV. If I have any complaint it would be that LG and Spectrum do not work together. We had to add a ROKU to get our local programing. Set up was easy . I did have to call Crutchfield twice for tech support, but only because of my own ignorance. As always, they were very helpful and solved all of my problems. I've been a customer for at least 35 years. Pricing has always been very competitive, but their support is amazing! I am a customer for life.

Another Crutchfield satisfied Customer
Stephen from Cuba, NY on 10/24/2024
After a few months of research taking in many you tube reviewers recommendations and consulting with two separate Crutchfield experts I purchased the LG over Samsung as Sony was priced hundreds more. And while I have only had my OLED for two days, so far I think I made the best decision. And, with Crutchfield's 60 day price guarantee I will be covered for any further Black Friday reductions. Thanks again Crutchfield for your guidance and pricing support!
Pros: Best contrast available Magic remote very intuitive Assembly instruction excellent
Cons: Had some trouble with Sonos Arc pairing So far not able to add FloSports App Manual shipped is weak

Super tech support people
Jeremy from Hi Natl Park, HI on 10/21/2024
Yes, this TV is excellent, with way higher resolution, overall clarity, and vivid colors, etc. But I'm writing this to sing the praises of the Crutchfield technical support team that provides invaluable support before and after the sale. For many years, I keep buying from Crutchfield primarily because of them, plus Crutchfield's good selection, sales, and free shipping all the way to Hawaii. But because of the before and after the sale support, I totally ignore anyone else. For this purchase of a new LG TV and Yamaha RX-V4A receiver, Jenny, AJ, and Chappell all helped me at different times with hooking the two new pieces of gear up and together, figuring out which TV setting would allow me to see the Yamaha setup menu on the LG's TV screen, how to change the receiver sound modes, and how to change the receiver's counterintuitive use of negative numbers (decibels) for the volume to a simple number scale that goes up when you increase the volume. I am 66 years old, grew up with typewriters before the internet, so I need this help! Thanks to Crutchfield's tech support!! You will, at some point, really appreciate them like I do!

Beautiful picture, lack of instructions and set up information.
Steven from Washington, DC on 10/21/2024
I love the TV and its picture. But I found it difficult to set up as there were no instructions for mounting the screen in the stand. Also, the instructions suggested that you needed to download an app, etc..I love the TV and it's picture. But I found it difficult to set up as there were no instructions for mounting the screen in the stand. Also, the instructions suggested that you needed to download an app, etc., to activate the TV. In fact, all you needed to do was turn it on and follow the steps on the screen. So this also added to the confusion. Most important I find the layout on the screen to be very confusing. For example, it took some time to figure out how to switch between channels within YouTube TV unlike the layout on my home Samsung, which uses Apple TV. In short, there was a lack of instruction and too much of a learning curve. But, as I say, the quality of the picture is superb.

TOO DUMB FOR SMART TV
Edward from Cornwall, PA on 10/11/2024
As of now I cannot give the TV a good rating. It seems that to date all I have been doing is giving choices , watching commercials, trying to get registered, etc., etc., all the time with a voice jabbering in what sounds like Chinese and I cannot shut him up! When does TV watching start for me? I guess that at 91 years old I am too dumb for Smart TV.I think that it will not ta°e 60 days with my new TV to make up my mind to return it! Sorry.
Pros: YOUR SERVICE AND SALES WAS A VERY PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE SONNY WAS A BIG HELP.
Cons: Way too many choices to make as far as personal choices when I have not even gotten to see a show to know what I am choosing. I have wasted too much time already. I will try again some other day.

Phenomenal TV
Ian from Kincheloe, MI on 9/30/2024
Phenomenal picture! I bought tis to replace a SONY BRAVIA TV that was a 65" also. The advancements in picture quality are phenomenal, I'll say it again. My wife likes to watch the old Perry Masons 1950-1960 era, even the old black and white shows are amazing. My 4k DTV channels are vivid now and not washed out like on the SONY BRAVIA. I love the OLED picture.
Pros: Great picture
Cons: For me I'm still trying to learn the how to program the LG smart remote to control the DTV box and my Dennon AV receiver volume.

Finally moved from Plasma to OLED
Stephen from Gray, TN on 9/17/2024
Works great. Upgraded from an older LG Plasma 60" from early 2000's. It was bought from an actual TV shop back when there was significant differences in the quality tiers and still has better picture than some of the newer stuff. Love the OLED picture, it's fantastic once I found the right format ("film maker" I think)...can't comment on the sound since I run my cable through my home theater system (McIntosh/Paradigm) but I'm very happy so far. Used existing wall mount that's rated for 150lbs. Plasma weighted 80 some, big difference in weight, thickness and footprint.

This is the one!
David from Charlottesville, VA on 9/7/2024
Straight out of the box this TV looks fantastic, if not eye-wateringly bright. (No problems using this baby in a room with high ambient light levels!) When set to "Film Maker" mode in a darkened room and tweaked just a bit, it delivers deep, color-saturated images with impressive shadow detail and realism. Although it has what looks like powerful smart features and a good web browser, I'm currently only using it as a "dumb" monitor for my external sources (Roku 4K streamer, cable box/DVR, and Bluray player). It works brilliantly for this application. 4K programming looks amazing and it does a great job of upscaling standard HD and DVD content, as well.

CRT-Like with Great Upscaling to Boot
Yossi from Brooklyn, NY on 8/8/2024
I needed a TV that came as close as possible to matching the visuals my Sony Wega Trinitron CRT HDTV (1080i) provided me for many years, and the LG C4 (48") doesn't disappoint. It affords exceptional contrast, superb black levels, a remarkable sense of depth, and excellent color fidelity. Where the CRT outdoes the C4 (and all current TVs for that matter) is its handling of fast motion, which is perfect. However, the C4 is no slouch in that department, and given the nature and limitations of the technology, it nevertheless handles motion quite adeptly. For the record, I have TruMotion off and use the TV almost exclusively for watching films on physical media. Someone who watches sports might need to change the settings accordingly. I found Filmmaker mode most pleasing to the eye and made some minor adjustments to the contrast, black level, and color settings. While 4K sources look great on pretty much all 4K TVs, I was initially concerned about how lower-resolution fare like Blu-ray discs and DVDs would look since I have a large collection of films in these formats. As I had anticipated, Blu-ray movies look excellent on the LG. As I hadn't expected, the C4 made 480 sources look surprisingly good. The images look clean and fairly well defined (naturally, the extent is influenced by the quality of the source), and on diagonal lines jagged edges that were visible on the aforementioned CRT display are smoothed out very nicely on the OLED-including video-based sourc

Beautiful TV! I had to replace my Sony OLED 77A9G which failed suddenly after only 3 years. My previous LG OLED 65C9 is still going strong, so I went with the new C4. It's on the wall and looks great. Got Crutchfield's Allstate warranty to hopefully avoid any future fiasco!
Pros: Lighter weight, easier to handle than earlier LG OLEDs. Beautiful picture Out of the box with Filmmaker Mode!
Cons: Complicated menu system Poor documentation.
