Overview: The SoundExtreme Extreme Sub ES08 is an 8" powered subwoofer with an integrated RGB LED lighting system, designed for ATVs, off-road vehicles, marine craft, and golf carts. The powersports subwoofer features a built-in 500 watt Class-D amplifier, that powers the 8" marine-grade driver, and an 8" (non-powered) passive radiator. The ES08 is housed in a durable weather-resistant enclosure that can be mounted vertically or horizontally. The powersports subwoofer includes a 3.5mm (1/8") stereo Auxiliary input, along with Bluetooth connectivity to an optional EcoCast soundbar (sold separately) for a full-range audio system with Bluetooth audio streaming capability.

Driver & Enclosure: The ES08 features an 8" subwoofer driver and an 8" passive radiator housed in a durable sealed enclosure that's IP66 rated for the outdoor environment.

500W Max Power: The Extreme Sub ES08 employs a 250W RMS (500W peak) Class-D amplifier for loud, dynamic sound performance that can be heard out in the open field or over the open water.

EcoCast: EcoCast technology lets you increase the size of the party by letting you connect multiple EcoCast-equipped speakers (up to 50) to one SoundExtreme EcoCast speaker when using Bluetooth Audio as the sound source (additional soundbars and subs sold separately). The playback speaker can then broadcast its Bluetooth Audio to the other speakers, with a range of up to 30 feet. The Extreme Sub ES08 can be quickly and easily paired to additional SoundExtreme speakers to create a complete sound system.

Note: The SoundExtreme ES08 does not support direct Bluetooth Audio streaming and must be paired to a compatible SoundExtreme soundbar (sold separately) for this feature.

Aux Input/Output: The Extreme Sub ES08 is equipped with a 3.5mm Aux input for connecting a portable audio source with an audio or headphone output. The Aux input port includes a waterproof rubber cap for added protection when not in use. 

Integrated RGB LEDs: The SoundExtreme ES08 features RGB LED back-lit subwoofer driver and passive radiator that can light up the speaker/radiator cones. A Party Lights button on the control panel lets you cycle through 12 available Party Light Modes: Red, Green, White, Blue, Orange, Cyan, Yellow, Purple, Music Sync, Fade7, Jump7, and Color Fade.

Controls & Indicators: Operation of the ES08 is done using the subwoofer's control panel. Weather-proof rubber buttons let you easily operate the sub, even with gloves on, providing the following:

• Source Indicators: Two LEDs can light to indicate the currently selected input source - Aux or EcoCast.
• Gain: + and - buttons let you adjust the input sensitivity or Gain for the optimum signal level. Nine incremental LEDs will light to provide a visual reference of the amount of gain applied. When the volume is adjusted on a connected SoundExtreme soundbar, the subwoofer's volume will also change, letting you use the Gain to balance the relative volume between the two units.
• Crossover: Two arrow buttons let you adjust the low-pass filter cutoff frequency from 50Hz to 275Hz. Nine incremental LEDs will light to provide a visual reference of the selected cutoff frequency.
• Phase: This push-button determines if the subwoofer signal is in-phase (0˚) or out-of-phase (180˚). The Aux LED indicator will flash Green 3 times for in-phase and Red 3 times for out-of-phase when the Phase button is pressed.
• EcoCast: When pressed, this push-button puts the ES08 subwoofer into EcoCast Receiving mode when paired with a compatible SoundExtreme soundbar, and is also used to initiate pairing.
• Party Lights: Cycles through the 12 available Party Light Modes.
• Auto Turn-On: A rear-panel rotary switch determines how the ES08 will be activated:
  • Remote: Lets you use the supplied blue Turn-On wire connected to a switched +12V power source to activate the subwoofer.
  • Audio: This mode uses an audio signal on the Aux Input to activate the sub.
  • DC: The ES08 will be activated when there's +12V applied to the main power wire. This can be used if the main power is connected to a switched power source in the vehicle or craft.

Wired Level Control: The SoundExtreme ES08 includes a wired level control for remotely adjusting the subwoofer volume from the front of your vehicle or craft. The compact level control can be mounted under a dash or console and includes an attached 16' cable that plugs into the soundbar.

Power Requirements: The SoundExtreme ES08 will require 12-volt power and ground connections to your vehicle or craft. A 6.6' power/ground harness with an in-line 30A ATO fuse is included.

Mounting Options: The ES08 includes hardware for mounting the sub either vertically or horizontally, providing maximum mounting flexibility. 2" Standoffs are included for horizontal mounting if additional clearance is required.
