Features

Overview: DEI's Boom Mat Tape is a multi-purpose sound deadening material designed to help reduce road noise, sound system vibrations, rattles, dashboard plastic to plastic chafing sounds, door panels, and trunk lids to name a few. Boom Mat Tape is ideal for hard to reach areas as well as for covering wire and cabling harnesses. It also is handy for use in homes and garages for eliminating metal sink ringing, sump pump vibration, heating and cooling ducts, metal doors and more.

Materials: Boom Mat Tape is made of 2.5mm thick butyl rubber with aluminum facing, along with easy to remove clear backing, for peel and stick application. Each roll is 2" wide and 20' long.

Customer Q&A

1 question already asked

Q
Can I apply this directly to the plastic heater duct underneath my dash speakers? It gets hot enough smell rubber when the wires are too close to the duct (idk if itâ??d melt them, I turned it off when I started smelling rubber)

Doesn't hurt to try, this does have a foil layer so it can help. You could always use the rest of the roll to stop vibrations. I would try routing the speaker wires another route while zip ties securing then in place.
