Product Research
Features
Marine Amplifier: The SoundExtreme AMP30041 (SEI-AMP30041) 4-Channel Amplifier is a compact and powerful amplifier designed for UTVs, ATVs, golf carts and other outdoor power sports vehicles. It features a completely waterproof and dustproof chassis, with all of the wiring connections made through a sealed harness on one end of the amplifier. The SoundExtreme AMP30041 amplifier has a tiny footprint (10.06" x 1.90" x 3.27") which allows you to mount it in the limited space found in ATV or UTV vehicles.
Waterproof & Dustproof: The SoundExtreme AMP30041 carries an IP67 rating, making it impervious to water and dust.
Class D Amplification: The AMP30041 features state-of-the-art Texas Instruments High Definition Class D amplification, providing high power and minimal distortion in a compact marine-grade design. The amp's power output is as follows:
- 4-Channel: 75 watts x 4 @ 4-ohms
- 3-Channel: 75 watts x 2 @ 4-ohms + 150 watts x 1 @ 4-ohms (bridged)
- 2-Channel: 150 watts x 2 @ 4-ohms (bridged)
Control Panel: All of the AMP30041 controls are located on one side-panel and protected by a cover to help keep the controls dry, and to prevent unwanted adjustments. The cover screws can be removed with a Philips-head screwdriver (not included). The rotary controls and slide switches require the use of a narrow flat-head screwdriver (not supplied) to make adjustments. This 4-channel amplifier features independent controls for Zone 1 (channels 1+2) and Zone 2 (channels 3+4):
- Crossover Selection Switches: Two switches let you set each crossover to Low-pass (LPF), High-pass (HPF), or Off (crossover disabled).
- Crossover Frequency: Two crossover frequency dials provide a cutoff range from 35 Hz to 6 kHz, with a 24dB/octave slope.
- Channel Mode: Determines how the amplifier will be configured/wired: 4-Channel, 3-Channel, and 2-Channel.
- Input Voltage: Two 2-way switches determine the type of input signals for Zone 1 and Zone 2 inputs: Low (500mV to 3V) and High (3V-14.5V).
- Sensitivity: Independent Sensitivity controls for each Zone let you match the amplifier to the source unit. The input sensitivity of the amp ranges from 500mV to 3V (Low mode), and 3V-14.5V (High mode).
- Status LED: An LED indicator on the wiring harness end of the amp will light Green when the amp is operating normally, and will flash Orange/Green if it goes into protection mode, due to Overheating, Overcurrent, or a Short-Circuit on a speaker output.
Connections: The AMP30041's wiring is located at one end of the amplifier in a single 10" sealed harness. All wiring except the RCA inputs consist of bare-ended wire:
- Power & Ground: The amplifier's 10 AWG power wire features an in-line waterproof fuse holder with a 35A ATO fuse inserted. The ground wire is also 10 AWG.
- Note: An 8 AWG amplifier wiring kit is recommended and is sold separately.
- Remote Turn-on: A 16 AWG remote turn-on wire can be connected to your headunit's remote output wire or to a switched +12V power source.
- Speaker Outputs: Four sets of 16 AWG wires provide the speaker outputs for Zone 1 and Zone 2.
- Inputs: The amp features two pairs of RCA input jacks - left & right for Zone 1 and Zone 2. If the source unit does not offer preamp level outputs, you can splice the speaker output wires to a pair of RCA plugs, or use an RCA-to-speaker wire adapter, such as the JL Audio XD-CLRAIC2-SW (sold separately). The amp's RCA connectors have waterproof caps.
