Product Research
Features
Marine Amplifier: The SoundExtreme AMPEV30011 (SEI-AMPEV30011) Mono EV Amplifier is a compact and powerful amplifier designed specifically for 48V to 72V electric golf carts, UTVs, ATVs, and other outdoor electric powersports vehicles. It features a completely waterproof and dustproof chassis, with all of the wiring connections made through a sealed harness on end end of the amplifier. The SoundExtreme AMPEV30011 amplifier has a tiny footprint (9.82" x 1.85" x 3.30") which allows you to mount it in tight spaces.
Note: The SoundExtreme AMPEV30011 Mono EV Amplifier is designed to operate with electric vehicle batteries ranging from 48- to 72-volts, and cannot be used with 12- or 24-volt electrical systems.
Waterproof & Dustproof: The SoundExtreme AMPEV30011 carries an IP67 rating, making it impervious to water and dust.
Class D Amplification: The AMPEV30011 features state-of-the-art Texas Instruments High Definition Class D amplification, providing high power and minimal distortion in a compact marine-grade design. The AMPEV30011 can provide the following output power (@ < 2% THD + N):
- 180 watts @ 4-ohms
- 250 watts @ 3-ohms
- 300 watts @ 2-ohms
Control Panel: All of the AMPEV30011 controls are located on one side-panel and protected by a cover to help keep the controls dry, and to prevent unwanted adjustments. The cover screws can be removed with a Philips-head screwdriver (not included). The rotary controls and slide switches require the use of a narrow flat-head screwdriver (not supplied) to make adjustments. Controls include:
- Crossover Mode: A 3-way switch let you set the crossover type: Low-pass (LPF), High-pass (HPF), or Off (Full Range).
- Crossover Frequency: A crossover frequency dial provides a LP/HP cutoff range from 20 Hz to 400 Hz, with a 24dB/octave slope.
- Output Polarity: A 2-way switch lets you invert the output signal; options include 0° and 180°.
- Input Voltage: Two 2-way switches determine the type of input signals: Low (500mV to 3V) and High (3V-14.5V).
- Sensitivity: A rotary control lets you match the amplifier to the source unit. The input sensitivity of the amp ranges from 500mV to 3V (Low mode), and 3V-14.5V (High mode).
- Bass & Treble: Two rotary dials let you add or reduce the selected Bass and Treble frequencies; two 3-way switches let you select the frequency to be affected:
- Bass: 50 Hz, 100 Hz, 200 Hz
- Treble: 1 kHz, 3 kHz, 8 kHz
- Status LED: An LED indicator on the wiring harness end of the amp will light Green when the amp is operating normally, and will flash Orange/Green if it goes into protection mode due to Overheating, Overcurrent, or a Short-Circuit on a speaker output.
Connections: The AMPEV30011's wiring is located at one end of the amplifier in a single 10" sealed harness. All wiring except the RCA input consist of bare-ended wire:
- Power & Ground: The amplifier's 10 AWG power wire features an in-line waterproof fuse holder with a 7.5A/80V ATC fuse inserted. The mono EV amp can operate on voltages between 32V and 82V. The ground wire is also 10 AWG.
- Note: A 10 AWG amplifier wiring kit is recommended and is sold separately.
- Remote Turn-on: A 12 AWG remote turn-on wire can be connected to your headunit's remote output wire or to a switched +12V power source.
- Speaker Outputs: A pair of 12 AWG wires provides the single mono speaker output.
- Audio Input: The amp features a single mono RCA input jack. If the source unit does not offer a preamp level output you can use an RCA-to-speaker wire adapter, such as the JL Audio XD-CLRAIC2-SW (sold separately). The amp's RCA connector has a waterproof cap for protection when not in use.
