Cybdet's SE28 Review

The SE28 is a very nice unit. The aesthetics are really good and seem to be well-made. The sound quality is just ok. It's made for an open-air vehicle (hence the IP rating) so sound quality will be degraded due to wind and external noise. The volume levels are good however the acoustics were flat. It would be much better if they incorporated an equalizer on the unit or phone app. The lights are nice at night and an added bonus. It would be nice to have better control over identifying the lights on/off without affecting the sound. Bluetooth connectivity was easy and overall the unit functions very well.

Great speaker

I got this to attach to my golf cart. It has only been up for a few days, but I'm already very pleased with this speaker. I was a bit afraid that wind would drown out the speaker since it can get really windy where I live, but the speaker gets quite a bit louder than I expected. The max volume is too much for me to actually use, but I do not notice any distortion when I have tested the high volumes. The bass isn't going to be breaking any windows like a full blown sound system in a car might, but they are plenty strong for their size in this sound bar. I can't speak to the speaker's durability yet, but it certainly feels like it is made of high quality material. I had to create my own mounting bracket to fit it in a good spot in my golf cart, but it was easy enough to do because the speaker gives you 2 mounting options. The lights look good as well and are a nice feature to have. My one and only complaint is about the light controls. It is not at all intuitive and I find it difficult to figure out how to navigate the different lighting modes even after spending a lot of time reading the user guide. The app is a bit easier than the remote control, but I feel like this could still be improved greatly too. I am giving 4 stars solely because I think navigating the lighting settings could be improved. I love everything else about this speaker so far and I am very happy with it.

Easy to Install Soundbar

Solid product, but not as loud as I would expect for 500W of power. The LEDs are a nice addition, but I doubt if they will get used much. Installed in a 2025 Polars Northstar, and it was very straightforward.
