Overview: The SoundExtreme ExtremeWhips 2 ft. plus LED Controller includes two 2' RGB LED Whips that can be mounted on your UTV/ATV or off-road vehicle, providing a 360° light show with unlimited solid or flashing colors and over 30 preset modes. The ExtremeWhips 2 ft. also includes a 4-Zone RGB LED controller that lets you control the included LED Whip lights, along with up to 2 additional optional SoundExtreme LED whips, light strips, and rock lights (all sold separately). The LED controller can be operated using the included RF remote control or via a Bluetooth-connected device using the SoundExtreme app.

2' LED Whips (x2): The ExtremeWhips 2 ft. kit includes 2 whip-style LED light rods that are designed to be mounted on UTV/ATVs and off-road vehicles. The 0.85" diameter light rod is comprised of a spiral-wound RGB LED strip that's protected by a durable clear outer coating. It also features a magnetic base that bolts onto your vehicle body using a built-in 1.35" x 0.50" threaded bolt. A 1/2" (0.50") hole will need to be drilled into the body panel for installation. A stainless steel nut, washer, and lock-washer are provided for securing the bolt through the mounting surface. The magnetic base allows the 2' LED light to be seated and removed with no tools required, while still providing a solid hold on the light rod. A 10" 3-pin input cable built into the base provides the connection to the included 10' extension cable and 4-Zone LED Controller. The LED light rod includes an attached orange 13" x 9" SoundExtreme flag that's held in place by snap-hooks, making it easy to remove and reinstall.

4-Zone RGB LED Controller: The SoundExtreme ExtremeWhips 2 ft. kit includes a 4-zone RGB LED controller that lets you operate the light rods from your smartphone using the SoundExtreme App (available for Apple and Android devices) or the included hand-held RF remote control. The controller features four built-in 4" 3-pin LED output cables for attaching the included 2' LED whips along with up to 2 additional SoundExtreme LED whips, light strips, and rock lights (all sold separately). RGB Lighting control includes Zones, Modes, and Scenes.

• Zones: Four Zone outputs provide independent RGB LED lighting connections, each providing independent or common LED functions. Zones 3 & 4 can be used in conjunction with the optional Vehicle Signal input wires, lettting your Reverse, Brake, and Turn Signals control any SoundExtreme LED lighting connected to those two output zones.
• Mode: The RGB LED lighting features 44 LED Modes divided into 3 categories, all accessible from the RF remote control or using the SoundExtreme app.
  • Color Mode: Eight Color Modes can light the LEDs a solid color using 8 corresponding buttons on the remote control: Red, Green, Blue, White, Orange, Yellow, Cyan, and Purple. Using the SoundExtreme app, you can create custom colors.
  • Party Mode: There are 20 preset Party Modes accessible through the remote control or the SoundExtreme app. The app lets you customize each Party Mode, allowing for nearly unlimited color, cascading, and LED chasing options.
  • Music Mode: 16 Music Modes can be accessed, letting the LED lighting sync to your music. In order to use the music sync function, the Extreme LED Controller must be wirelessly connected to an EcoCast-enabled ECOXGEAR or SoundExtreme soundbar or powered speaker system (both sold separately).
• Scene: Five customizable Scenes (or presets) can be configured and saved via the SoundExtreme app, for 1-button recall of your favorite options from either the app or the RF remote control. A 6th non-editable Scene is available. The default Scene settings include:
  • Scene 1: Orange for all Zones
  • Scene 2: Flowing colors for all Zones
  • Scene 3: Patriot 1 for all Zones
  • Scene 4: Fading colors for all Zones
  • Scene 5: Christmas for all Zones
  • Scene 6 (Street Mode): This mode turns off all the LED lights, but keeps the controller powered on so Zones 3 & 4 still function as enhanced brake, reverse, and turn signals.

Controller Connections:

• Power/Ground/Turn-On: A 10" built-in harness provides the power and ground connections via two 12-gauge wires terminated in a 2-pin SEA connector. A 10' extension cable features a matching SEA connector on one end and each wire terminated with a 0.32" wide spade-lugs for attaching to a 12V battery or power distrubution block. The power wire includes an in-line 25A ATO fuse. A 10' remote turn-on extension wire allows the LED controller to be powered on/off with vehicle switched power or an optional in-line toggle switch (not included).
  • Note: The included RF remote control does not power off the LED controller; it only turns off any connected LEDs, but the controller will still remain powered on.
• Vehicle Signal Connectors: Four additonal 18-gauge wires let you connect into the vehicle's Turn Signals, Brake, and Revers signal wires, providing integration with optional LED lighting connected to Zones 3 & 4. Connection wires include:
  • Revers Signal (Pink): LEDs connected to Zones 3 & 4 will illuminate white when activated.
  • Brake Signal (Orange): LEDs connected to Zones 3 & 4 will illuminate red when activated.
  • Left Turn Signal (Green): LEDs connected to Zone 3 will flash yellow when the left turn signal is activated.
  • Right Turn Signal (Blue): LEDs connected to Zone 4 will flash yellow when the right turn siganl is activated.
• Zone Outputs: Four 4" output cables provide the 3-pin LED connections for each of the 4 Zones. Each Zone output can provide up to 5A of current for connected LED lighting.

Controller Mounting: The 4-Zone RGB LED Controller includes a pre-attached patch of 3M hook-and-loop fastener for attaching the controller to a flat surface. Two slotted holes and four screw holes provide additional options for mounting the controller, using either screws or zip-ties (both sold separately).

Waterproof: The 2' Whips and controller carry an IP66 waterproof rating for outdoor use.

SoundExtreme App: The SoundExtreme ExtremeWhips can be operated from a Bluetooth-connected device using the SoundExtreme App, available for Apple and Android devices. The app lets you access the same LED controls found on the RF remote control, as well accessing additional functions such as setting up RGB LED lighting Zones, Modes, and Scenes.

RF Remote Control: The ExtremeController includes a hand-held RF remote control for operating the LED lighting. The compact remote includes individual Zone (1-4) buttons for activating each Zone independently. Four corresponding Zone-Mode (Z1-M thru Z4-M) let you cycle through the three LED Modes for each Zone. An All button lets you power all connected LEDs On/Off. Additional buttons include Mode, Bright, Speed, Scene, and individual color buttons for Red, Green, Blue, White, Orange, Yellow, Cyan, and Purple.

EcoCast: The SoundExtreme ExtremeController is compatible with the ECOXGEAR audio and LED lighting ecosystem, which includes LEDCast- and EcoCast-enabled products. EcoCast audio products are designed to be paired with each other, allowing one EcoCast device to be the audio Transmitter and additional EcoCast devices to be Receivers. This allows the LED controller to pair with EcoCast products and have the connected LED lights sync to your music.
