Sonos Five - 2 pack

I have 5 Sonos Five speakers, one Era 300 and an Arc Ultra Sound bar with Sub 4 for a new home I just moved into. The sound is lovely and the flexibility to play different music on each speaker is perfect for a family. But you will need support from Sonos to enable the system to connect to multiple cell phones for this. The tech support is great so it isn't a big problem but would be nice if this feature was easier to figure out independent of Sonos tech support. Love the system.

Danny hooked me up with Victrola first and network with Arc Beam and Ones's first to check player with Sonos ¥ Next hook in 5's set left and Right Place vinyl on Vic and Boom the fidelity stero separation are our and clear Sound is live concert vis full throttle Awesome amazing humbling to reducing aging ears to the pleasure of record energy original sound with all studio imperfections incredible I'm in paradise !!

My Audioengine A5+ speaker amplifier went out, so I bought these to replace them. They are about twelve feet from each other in the center a large room and they sound wonderful as a stereo pair. Easy to setup.

I am a long time Sonus user and I am very happy with the quality, performance and ease of use of their products.I highly recomend Sonus if a whole house wirless solution is what you need. and of course Crutchfields level of cutomer service is almost beyond belief, recived my order in three days, and I ordered on a Sunday. If you are considering wirless speakers dont hesitate buy some, the app will allow you to integrate seamlessly with Tidal music service and many others, so the music content that is available is endless. I have some mid to high end audio equipment , Focal speakers, marantz amps , Rega turntable. So good quality sound is my goal and for the convienience of the wirless setup the sound quality is very good, not as precise as my 6,000.00 pair of Focals but still very accpetable.

Elegant speakers with easy set up for atreaming.

Elegant and discrete. Easy set up that sounds good either as a single or stereo pair. Recommend the Sanus stands too.

The installation took longer than anticipated as I was using an iPad and MacBook to install the Sonos app. The more I listen to the speakers the more I love them. The sound clarity is better than expected. I thought I would miss the deep Bass sounds from my Bose Docking Port but the overall sound is far superior. May explore the Sonos sound bar next.

A pair of five's is a ten for me!

I bought 2 Sonos Five's along with a mini sub as my break-in to the Sonos world and for a record player set up. Setting these speakers up on the app and loading Apple Music, bandcamp, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, etc. took only minutes. These fives are a little expensive for a powered bookshelf speaker but they actually sound very good. I'm really happy with the purchase and looking to expand into the Sonos-verse by adding additional speakers, soundbars and subs. The Sonos App is great and super easy to use. I primarily use this for streaming music and vinyl records, and both so far have worked flawlessly. The fives also crank and when paired put out an amazing amount of sound.

Better than average system, still a compromise.

As a lover of vintage components that tear down the walls, there are pluses and minuses. Easy to use. Good sound in a medium size room. If you are looking to party out or experience live performance sound, look elsewhere. Really really needs better eq and bass response, Advantage is modern controls for streaming. BUT you are NOT going to get that vintage sound from Aja or the Allman brothers . It's ok though

Sonos 5 pair

The Sonos 5 speaker pair produce absolutely wonderful sound and once setup are very easy to use. We also purchased wall mounts which are very high quality. The only hitch in the setup is that the 5G on the wireless router needs to be disabled and can be restored after setup is complete. The Pro's at Crutchfield were very helpful throughout the selection process and installation.

Very easy to setup out of the box and configure as a pair. Also simple to connect to our new turntable. We have had fun playing with settings in the Sonos app to see how we can optimize sound with different inputs (vinyl, streaming stuff). But it all sounds great and really fills up the room.

Sonos Fives

We have had Sonos in our home for more than 15 years, going back to the original Sonos amps and players (and controls-the app is so much better), and they just keep getting better. Two years ago, for reasons known only to heaven, I decided to swap out our Sonos speakers for Apple HomePods which, in my defense, do sound excellent (we're also a Mac household); however, the HomePods were frequently dropping then reconnecting-a problem we never had with Sonos-and my husband found the interface clunky and annoying. So, I swapped out our HomePods for these Sonos Fives (and a couple Sonos Ones), and we are back to having easy, reliable music streaming. The system was incredibly easy to set up, and the sound is excellent-full, warm, and does a nice job filling our large rooms. And you do not have to be terribly techy to use the system-I know some people wish they could tweak more, but for our purposes, this works wonderfully.

Excellent home audio speaker system!

These speakers are amazing! The sound is excellent, and the Apple AirPlay connection is so convenient. You can play the same music in multiple rooms of the home simultaneously. Setup literally couldn't be easier.

I will apologize in advance for this lengthy review. I purchased a pair of SONOS "Five" for our patio room and could not be more pleased. Starting with the un-boxing. The speakers are well packaged in a solid box with plastic locking tabs, a fabric like material wrapped around the speakers, and all securely held by a well designed foam base. Set up was a breeze, as I was up and running in less than 10 minutes. The SONOS app guides you through the entire process and connectivity to my iPhone, and PC worked like a charm. Linking the two speakers for the full stereo effect was also easy. The SONOS speakers were visible on all devices and streaming is fast to connect, dependable, and with no buffering. The sound quality is amazing! I used the "Trueplay" feature on the Sonos App to "tune" the speakers to my room. What a difference that made. The sound literally fills the room. The woofers deliver nice base and vocals with no distortion. The highs from the tweeters are crisp and clear. Bottom line: for this price, this powered speaker system is amazing! Finally, the Crutchfield Customer Service is top notch. I ordered my SONOS speakers on Friday morning and they were delivered around noon on Saturday! My advisor-Davis, was knowledgeable about the product and was instrumental in my final decision to purchase.

Improved audio

Although most reviews note the new Sonos 5 has an improved processor and other internal IT enhancements, many pundits suggest the speaker's audio performance is about the same as the Sonos Play 5 second generation. Yet in terms of audio quality, I find the Sonos 5 is superior to the Sonos Play 5 second generation. In my experience, the new Sonos 5s provide an improved definition of individual instruments, a sharper base, and better stereo separation. These enhancements were evident after I swapped two new Sonos 5s for two Play 5s in the same location - while listening to identical streaming services and selections from my iTunes library (via AirPlay). While the differences are subtle, the new Sonos 5s uniformly sound better. In addition, I found it easy to set up and integrate the new 5 with existing Sonos equipment, which counters the experience of some consumers. I suspect some folks are trying to create a stereo pair with one Sonos 5 and one Sonos Play 5 speaker. Instead, I suggest you assign a different, exclusive 'room' to the new 5s, the Play 5s, and any other recent Sonos speakers. Finally similar to most audio products, I recommend plugging Sonos equipment into a surge suppressor/line conditioner, which frequently boosts Sonos' sound quality and longevity.
