3-Way Driver Design: The Monitor Audio Gold 300 6G floorstanding loudspeaker delivers impressive high-fidelity sound, with deep bass and lifelike mid- and high-frequency definition thanks to its 3-way driver design that consists of MPD III high-frequency transducer alongside a HDT, C-CAM 3" midrange driver and two 6" bass woofers.

• MPD III Tweeter: The result of an extensive development process to refine and achieve even greater performance, the latest generation of Monitor Audio’s MPD III (Micro Pleated Diaphragm) transducer delivers precise high-frequency sound with greater consistency, clarity and accuracy. The detail achieved makes your music sound more lifelike, crisp and real.
• Discrete Midrange Driver: Utilizing a high-strength motor unit with a neodymium bucking magnet, a regressive spider design, and increased voice coil venting, the 3" midrange driver exhibits lower distortion and improved sensitivity, frequency response, and directivity.
• Dual Bass Woofers: With the new HDT, C-CAM cone, FEA-optimized surround and spider designs, plus increased voice coil length, the two 6" bass woofers exhibit greater linearity, reducing distortion for cleaner and punchier low end. Rigidly secured in place by a new cast aluminum, light-weight chassis design, it provides the optimum structure with maximum airflow around the drive unit. 

HDT, C-CAM Driver Technology: Monitor Audio's Gold Series 6G boasts a totally new metal cone technology in the form of HDT (Hexagonal Diaphragm Technology). The new HDT cone employs a hexagonal pattern to disrupt symmetries in the cone breakup. The use of C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminum/Magnesium) over standard aluminum also results in a stronger, more fatigue-resistant cone. This means that Gold Series 6G drivers perform exactly as Monitor Audio's engineers intended, delivering dynamic passages with exceptional precision for true high-fidelity playback.

Technically Accurate Crossover Design: The technically accurate crossover network of the Gold Series 6G has been developed using high-quality capacitors and undergone hundreds of hours of listening by Monitor Audio's acoustics team to ensure the smoothest, cleanest audio signal is delivered to each driver unit.

High Quality Cabinetry: The Gold Series 6G speaker cabinet is designed to form the most rigid structure as possible, which allows the drivers to perform to their optimum capabilities. Coupled with cleverly calculated geometry and advanced bracing techniques, the cabinet is a crucial element of Monitor Audio's Transparent Design Philosophy. Finished in a beautiful black, white, or wood veneer with machined aluminum trim, the Gold Series 6G floorstanding speaker blends in with almost any room decor.

• Aluminum Mid-Pod: The MPD III tweeter and HDT, C-CAM midrange driver sit within a dedicated, and carefully designed steel encased "mid-pod" within the speaker cabinet. This discrete enclosure ensures optimum acoustic performance without compromising the cabinet volume required for the bass driver.
• Single Through-Bolt Mount: Each driver is fixed to the cabinet with single through-bolt mounts. The single through-bolt design provides mechanical decoupling for the drivers, plus acts as rigid cross bracing system to prevent unwanted resonance.
• HiVe II Port: The speaker cabinet employs Monitor Audio's HiVe II port technology with two rear-firing ports for the bass drivers. Rifled grooves inside the HiVe II ports help to accelerate the flow and reduce turbulence, so air moves in and out of the port more efficiently, for a faster more dynamic bass response. If the bass is too boomy, you can insert the included foam port plugs into the speaker's rear-firing ports to tighten and lessen the bass.
• Acoustic Transparent Grilles: Acoustic transparent black cloth grilles attach magnetically over the tweeter and midrange driver, as well as the bass woofer.

Dual Binding Posts: The Gold 300 6G loudspeaker has two sets of binding posts connected by wire-jumpers. The binding posts will accept bare wire (up to 10AWG), pin connectors, & banana plugs (single only). Plastic inserts within the binding posts will need to be removed in order to use banana plugs. Using the dual posts, you can bi-wire or bi-amp the speaker. Bi-wiring or bi-amping the speaker provides improved bass & treble performance.

• Bi-Wiring: Bi-wiring can provide noticeable improvements in the overall transparency of your loudspeakers. Run separate speaker wires to the low & high frequency drivers from a single amplifier (the upper set of binding posts are for the high frequency drivers; the lower set of binding posts are for the low frequency drivers).
• Bi-Amping: Bi-amping allows you to use separate amplifiers for the high & low frequency sections of your loudspeaker for greater dynamic range & lower distortion. We recommend that your separate amplifiers have identical gain to preserve the speaker's voicing balance.

Cast Aluminum Outrigger Feet: Four cast aluminum outrigger feet and a steel plate form a stable platform for the Gold 300 G6 floorstanding speaker with great structural integrity and improved stability. The outrigger feet mount to the steel plate and bottom of the speaker cabinet using the supplied hardware. You can choose between spike or rubber feet. The spike feet are ideal for carpet, while the rubber feet should be used on hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl, and ceramic flooring. The spike feet unscrew from the outrigger feet to expose the rubber feet. Each outrigger foot is adjustable to make sure the speaker is level.

Application & Placement Options: The Monitor Audio Gold 300 6G floorstanding loudspeaker can be used as a stereo pair in a 2ch audio setup, or as front and/or rear speakers in a home theater system.

• In a 2ch stereo setup or as front speakers in a home theater system, the listening position and the Gold 300 6G speakers should form an equilateral triangle. Ideally the speakers should be positioned approximately 6' to 10' apart with a minimum distance of 3' from the side walls and 8" to 14" distance from the rear wall. Move the speaker closer to the rear wall for increased bass. If bass is too "muddy", then move the speaker further away from rear wall.
• If stereo imaging is being lost, try "toeing" the speakers in slightly. For a more "airy" sound, point the speakers directly towards the listening position. For a less "airy" sound, point the speakers directly forward.
• As surround speakers, the Gold 300 6G speaker should be positioned directly to the side of the main listening position and facing each other. As surround back speakers, the Gold 300 6G speaker should be located behind the main listening area and facing the front of the room.
