Overview: The QSC KC12 is a 3-way, 3000-watt column loudspeaker system designed for solo entertainers, musicians and bands, mobile entertainers and DJs, A/V productions, and static installations. The system includes the KC12S subwoofer and the KC12T column speaker, along with an optional column extension and a convenient carry-bag for the column speaker parts. Incorporating QSC's LEAF (Length-Equalized Acoustic Flare) waveguide technology, the KC12 can provide uniform coverage (145° H x 35° V) and excellent throw.

Drivers & Enclosure: The QSC KC12 3-way system features a ported subwoofer enclosure housing a single 12" subwoofer, capable of extension down to 40 Hz. The column speaker features two high-excursion 4" midrange drivers and one 1" compression driver that's combined with QSC's proprietary LEAF waveguide system.

Power: The KC12 features 3000-watts of total peak power from a highly-efficient Class D amplifier, providing maximum clean output power with very low AC energy consumption. The amplifier is housed in the subwoofer enclosure and provides 2000-watts peak power to the subwoofer and 1000-watts peak power to the mid/high-frequency drivers.

Connections: The rear control panel features the following:

• Input A: An XLR/1/4" combo jack can accept Microphone, Line, or Hi-Z signals, configured in the setup menu; a corresponding Gain control can attenuate or add up to +10 dB of input signal level; includes LED indicators for Sig/Clip (green: signal present, red: signal clipping), Mic, and Hi-Z (instrument-level) settings for Input A.
• Input B: An XLR/1/4" combo jack can accept Microphone or Line-level signals and can provide +48 V of phantom power for condenser microphones; a corresponding Gain control can attenuate or add up to +10 dB of input signal level; includes LED indicators for Sig/Clip, Mic, and +48V phantom power settings for Input B.
• Input C: Features a 3.5 mm stereo input combined with the Bluetooth audio feed; a corresponding Gain control can attenuate or add up to +20 dB of input signal level; includes a Bluetooth push-button for pairing and Bluetooth menu options; provides LED indicators for Sig/Clip and Bluetooth operation.
• Outputs: Inputs A & B each include a male XLR Output connector:
  • Output A: An analog pass-thru for Input A; features zero latency, letting you pass the input signal out to other equipment.
  • Output B: An assignable post-DSP line-level (+4 dBu) output; can be assigned as a digital pass-thru for Input B, or a selectable digital mix of Inputs A, B, C and Bluetooth signals.
• USB-C: A USB-C port can be used for updating the internal firmware when a new version is available. The USB port can also provide 5V/3A of power for charging portable devices such as a smartphone or tablet.
  Notes:
  • The USB-C port cannot be used for USB music playback.
  • The USB-C port cannot be used for powering the KC12 and should not be connected to a USB power supply.
  • When connecting the KC12 to a computer for updating, care must be taken to connect the speaker to AC power before making the USB connection to avoid the computer acting as a charger.

DSP Settings: A rear-panel display with selector dial and navigation buttons provide access to audio and system settings, including:

• Input Options (A&B): Lets you set the input signal type (Mic, Line, Hi-Z) and apply +48 V phantom power to Input B.
• Presets (A&B): Includes 14 preprogrammed EQ and dynamics processing options for specific applications; options are based on microphone type used and vocal method or instrument type used.
• Reverb: A single Reverb is available for Inputs A&B, with independent mix options for each; options for Small, Medium, and Large are available.
• Sub Level: Adjusts the subwoofer independent of the column speaker, with options for: Balanced, Boost, DEEP, -1 to Off, and Sub Only.
• Contour: Sets a preprogrammed EQ and Dynamics processing setting for the entire loudspeaker; options include: Default, Live, Dance, and Cinema.
• EQ: A 4-band parametric equalizer with high- and low-shelving can be applied to the overall output signal.
• Room Delay: Adjusts the signal delay for rear fill and similar applications; delay can be set in feet (0-226), meters (0-68), or milliseconds (0-200).
• Bluetooth: Provides options for Pairing, Linking to a second KC12 for Bluetooth playback and assigning Left or Right channels.
• Output: Assigns the inputs signals (A, B, C and Bluetooth) to be sent to Output B.
• Settings: The Settings menu lets you view the Firmware version; save and apply Scenes (1-5) which are combinations of settings that can be quickly applied to the entire speaker system; activate Sub Only; specify which LED indicators will be visible; apply a 4-digit security code to lock the loudspeaker system; Factory Reset.

Mounting & Portability: The QSC KC12 column loudspeaker is designed to sit on a floor, stage, or riser with or without the column speaker extension installed. A full-size handle on top of the sub enclosure and two "finger-grab" handles on the bottom allow the speaker to be carried on its side with two hands.

Power: The KC12 requires AC power and includes a 116" AC power cord.

Extended Warranty: QSC offers a 3 year warranty on the KC12 components and will extend it to 6 years with product registration.
