Be prepared to be amazed at the Sony Bravia Theatre Quad!
Porfie from COLORADO SPRINGS, CO on 3/8/2025
'm coming from an older Pioneer Elite 9.1 receiver sc-67 and some good la acoustic speakers. I can say without a doubt this SONY quad is comparable and in some ways even sounds better. That I was not expecting at all. I wanted to keep my system but my spouse wanted a cleaner set up without so many speakers and wires. After kicking and screaming I gave in. I can truly say this SONY Bravia theatre Quad is the real deal and very comparable even to my old $4000 system. The only two gripes I have are I wish I had more controls in the app like the pioneer receiver had. I also with it had more hdmi ports, and an option to put a second subwoofer, or open it up to be able to use other subwoofers with it. The magic of the phantom speaker is pretty amazing and does what the Pioneer did with their version called virtual height ands sides speakers. It is only a matter of time before this type of system surpasses even an audiophiles expensive sound system. This was a had pill for me to swallow, but this system is amazing! My spouse was always asking me to use the emphasis and dialogue enhancement on the pioneer control app, but with the quad we have very rarely had to use the voice mode. I highly recommend getting one of the compatible subwoofers as you will be missing out on the full potential this system has to offer if you don't have one. I have this paired with the Sony SW-5 subwoofer and it definitely takes it to that next level theater quality. Highly recommend this amazing system!
Pros: 1. Amazing sound 2. Simplicity 3. Quality 4. 360 audio mapping is amazing with the phantom speakers and center channel it creates.
Cons: 1. Not enough user options like a eq. 2. Sony should open up the center channel 3. Option for other tvs other tvs. 4. Sony should open up the option to choose whatever wireless subwoofer you want t to use.

Perfect when you can't use a front soundbar and need to install behind
Chris from Syracuse, UT on 1/30/2025
Perfect for my needs but hurt a little in the pocket book. I have a built in for the front of my room. Old style for the smaller tv's. So I installed an automatic drop down screen and a projector behind me on the wall. The problem was I wasn't able to have a sound bar in front of me very easily and didn't want to run wires from an amplifier. The Quad worked perfect. The base is on a shelf behind me by the projector and I can run everything from there. The wireless speakers sound great and give the room great theater sound while watching flicks. Perfect for my needs. Easy setup. Bought some speaker stands and the versatility of the mounts that came with the speakers made it easy to install. Highly recommend this product.

Great surround sound made ready

Great sound. I am using my Sony tv speaker as the center channel as this is the best sound if you have a tv that's supports it. Set up is easy and done with your phone after all speakers have been placed were you want them. The room correction can make up for a less than perfect speaker placement. I did have to move the sub around a bit to get a flatter response than the room corrections could do by itself. My only disappointment is the second HDMI input can not be used as an input from a music streamer that has a HDMI output. This was verified by Sony. It's for an AV device such as a DVD player. This is a totally wireless system except for the need to have AC available for each speaker and the sub. Again, if you can't do a perfect speaker placement, the room correction will make up for it. The room correction uses a mic that is on the top of each speaker and your phone mic to do the corrections. It works!
