HiFi Rose RD160 DAC
Intuitive User Interface
Audio/Video Section
Network Transport: The HiFi Rose RS130 is a network transport that can be digitally connected to a high-quality external DAC (digital-to-analog converter). The RS130 is designed to completely block digital noise by supporting Fiber Optic Ethernet and Fiber Optic USB, and to stably output digital sound source with its built-in high precision OCXO clock
- Aluminum Case with Vibration & Heat Reduction: The HiFi Rose RS130 utilizes a specially process aluminum case to prevent unwanted vibration and minimize heat generation. The ventilation hole is positioned in the upper center of the network transport, and is designed to dissipate heat efficiently and ensure stable operation even after prolonged use.
- High-Precision OCXO: By adopting high-precision OCXO, the precision of digital output is increased and a more accurate clock signal is provided. OCXO is the most accurate and stable in-use clock to date, and is not affected by temperature changes. Conventional crystals have changes in vibration due to temperature, which cause jitters in the audio signal. However, the OCXO always maintains a constant temperature, suppressing jitter to produce a stable and precise clock.
- External Master Clock Input: There is also an external master clock input, if preferred. Applying the method eliminates jitter in the S/PDIF, AES/EBU, and I2S Out connections from the audio source to the DAC, and supports perfect synchronization between devices based on the usage environment and application. The external clock sync input consists of one 50-ohm BNC connector and one 75-ohm BNC connector.
- Linear Power Stage: For excellent stability and the best sound quality, the HiFi Rose RS130 uses a linear power stage with a large-capacity super-capacitor that can minimize power supply noise. This newer linear power-supply approach reduces noise levels drastically and provides a reliable power-supply environment for cleaner and more natural sound quality.
Note: The HiFi Rose RS130 network transport features no built-in DAC (digital-to-analog converter) and requires an external DAC (sold separately).
Supported Audio Files: The HiFi Rose RS130 network transport supports the playback of a variety of audio files via USB, Digital, and Network.
- MQA: The integration of MQA technology enables you to playback MQA audio files and streams, delivering the sound of the original master recording. MQA is a revolutionary end-to-end technology that captures and delivers master quality audio in a file that's small enough to stream or download. MQA lets you hear your streamed digital music files exactly like the way the artist intended you to hear it when it was approved in the studio.
- Native DSD: DSD is high-resolution digital audio format that uses a single bit to deliver a high resolution signal. Instead of sampling the information several thousand times a second, this single bit samples 2.8 million times a second to generate the audio signal. The result is still a Hi-Res audio signal that clean and pure. The RS130 supports DSD64 (2.8MHz), DSD128 (5.6MHz), DSD256 (11.2MHz), and DSD512 (22.4MHz).
- PCM: The HiFi Rose RS130 also supports linear PCM audio files with a bit depth of 16- / 24- / 32-bits, and a sampling frequency of 8Hz to 768kHz.
- Other File Types: Other supported audio file type include AAC, ALAC, AIFF, WAV, FLAC, WMA, MP3, APE, DFF, DSF
Built-In SSD: The built-in 256GB SSD (Solid State Drive) caches music files to ensure stable playback through the elimination of vibration and noise effects that occur when playing music from a HDD (Hard Disk Drive) connected to a USB flash drive. It also minimizes delay errors that can occur during network streaming.
Fiber Optic Designed: The RS130 leverages Fiber Optic Ethernet to completely isolate network digital noise. It effectively blocks physical noise sources, including various network equipment. Similarly, the Fiber Optic USB employs optical conversion to separate pure data from driving noise, ensuring only flawless sound reaches your DAC.
- Fiber Optic Ethernet: The Fiber Optic Ethernet completely isolates network digital noise. The Fiber Optic Ethernet is supported to block physical noise source including various network equipment.
- Fiber Optic USB: The adopted optical USB completely blocks digital noise transmitted from the storage device. By applying the optical conversion functions, only pure data is taken from the storage device and driving noise is completely separated. When connected to a DAC, only purse sound source data is transmitted to the DAC, and all noise that my be induced from the transport to the DAC is fundamentally blocked.
Note: Use the supplied USB 3.0 SFP Fiber Connection Kit to connect the RS130 to the included RD160 DAC.
Digital Audio Outputs: The RS130 network transport is equipped with an optical (toslink) digital output, a coaxial (RCA) digital output, and one AES/EBU (XLR) digital output to connect to an external high-quality DAC (digital-to-analog converter). The digital audio outputs decode 2ch stereo audio signals only (does not support Dolby Digital, DTS, or other multichannel audio formats).
- Optical Out: The optical (toslink) digital output supports 44.1kHz to 192kHz stereo 2ch audio signals.
