2.5-Way Driver Design: The Sonus faber Sonetto III G2 floor-standing loudspeaker employs a 2.5-way driver design featuring Sonus faber's D.A.D. (Damped Apex Dome) 1.1" silk tweeter and two 6.5" paper pulp sandwich cone woofers with floral pattern rubber surrounds for precise high-fidelity sound that offers heightened realism, detail, and depth to provide an optimal listening experience - even for the most discerning audiophiles.  The 2.5-way driver design crosses over the upper woofer right below the tweeter's output, while the lower woofer is crossed over at a lower frequency. This creates a distinct midrange, while still allowing the woofers to extend as deep as they can go for powerful bass.

• 1.1" D.A.D. (Damped Apex Dome) Tweeter: The 1.1" tweeter in the Sonetto G2 collection features state-of-the-art Silk Dome D.A.D (Damped Apex Dome) technology. With a response extending beyond 30kHz, made possible by the incorporation of a copper cup, the tweeter reproduces the finest nuances in the audio spectrum, ensuring exceptional clarity and detail in the pristine sound reproduction of Sonetto I G2 floor-standing speaker.
• 6.5" Paper Pulp Sandwich Cone Woofers: The Sonetto III G2 floor-standing speaker houses two 6.5" woofers with a unique floral pattern rubber surround that encases the paper pulp sandwich cone structure of the woofer drivers. The asymmetric shape of the floral pattern rubber surround breaks the circular modes of the driver and ensures greater linearity in sound reproduction, reducing interference and improving sound dispersion. The paper pulp sandwich cone woofers sit in an organic basket for optimal airflow to reduce heat build up and increase output.

Phase Coherent Crossover: The Phase Coherent Crossover design philosophy implemented in the Sonetto III G2 ensures precise synchronization of the drivers' phase rotations, striving for maximum parallelism. This meticulous alignment results in an immersive soundstage that is incredibly defined and palpable, allowing the listener to experience music with a heightened sense of realism.

Lute Shaped Cabinet: The Sonetto III G2 floor-standing speaker uses a lute shaped cabinet that features a multi-layer wood construction covered in real-wood veneer with a synthetic leather front baffle around the midbass woofer and tweeter. The unique lute shape geometry eliminates unwanted frequencies and distortions within the cabinet, resulting in a quieter enclosure and an overall enhanced sound performance. The speaker cabinet is available in a Black, Wenge, or Walnut finish with black cloth grilles that attach magnetically.

• Bass Reflex Design: The lute shaped cabinet is a bass reflex design with a rear-firing for the upper 6.5" mid woofer and down-firing port for the lower bass woofer to deliver greater extension in low frequencies and reduction of distortion.
• Concrete Base: In addition, the Sonetto III G2 features a heavy concrete base to reinforce the lute shaped cabinet's structural integrity and provide enhanced stability of the floor-standing speaker. This innovative addition provides a solid foundation for the speaker that minimizes vibrations and ensures optimal performance, particularly in demanding listening environments.

Dual Binding Post Terminals: The Sonetto III G2 has two sets of heavy-duty binding posts connected by jumpers. Using the dual binding posts, you can bi-amp or bi-wire the speakers (make sure to remove the jumpers in this scenario). The binding post terminals will accept banana plugs (single only), pin-connectors, spade-connectors, and bare wire (up to 10AWG). These robust binding post terminals provide excellence signal transfer and resistance to corrosion.

• Bi-Wiring: Bi-wiring can provide noticeable improvements in the overall transparency of your loudspeakers. Run separate speaker wires to the low & high frequency drivers from a single amplifier (the upper set of binding posts are for the high frequency drivers; the lower set of binding posts are for the low frequency drivers).
• Bi-Amping: Bi-amping allows you to use separate amplifiers for the high & low frequency sections of your loudspeaker for greater dynamic range & lower distortion. We recommend that your separate amplifiers have identical gain to preserve the speaker's voicing balance.

Rubber or Spike Feet: The Sonetto III G2 comes with both rubber and spike feet that attach to the bottom of the integrated concrete base. The rubber feet simply stick to the bottom of the base, while the spikes screw into the bottom of the base. The rubber feet can be used on hardwood, laminate, tile, and vinyl flooring. The spikes are intended for carpeted floors. If you want to use the spike feet on your hard surface flooring, make sure to place the included protective discs under the spikes to prevent your floors from being scratched and damaged.

Application & Placement Options: You can use the Sonetto III G2 floor-standing loudspeaker as a stereo pair in a 2ch music setup, or as front and/or rear channels in a home theater system. Follow the placement guidelines below for optimum sound performance.

• You should position a pair of speakers so they form an equilateral triangle with one another and the main seated listening position.
• The two loudspeakers should be at least 6' apart from each other.
• The pair of speakers can be "toed-in" and angled inward to aim the sound at the main listening area for a better stereo soundstage.
• It is recommended to position the speakers away from the corners of the room, and at a distance of at least 3.3125' from the back wall.
