Features

Ethernet Cat-7 Cable: Ethernet Cat-7 is the ideal cable for fast internet downloads, multi-player PC games, and movie or music streaming. AudioQuest's Pearl series Ethernet cable meets or exceeds the highest industry CAT-7 specifications. This Ethernet cable will deliver speeds up to 10 Gbps and uses individually shielded pairs to minimize crosstalk.

Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) Conductors: Solid conductors eliminate strand-interaction distortion and reduce jitter. Solid long-grain copper conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications, like Ethernet audio. These signals, being such a high frequency travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. As the surface is made of high-purity silver, the performance is very close to that of a solid silver cable, but priced much closer to solid copper cable. This is an incredibly cost effective way of manufacturing very high quality Ethernet cables.

Solid-High-Density Polyethylene Insulation: Solid High-Density Polyethylene Insulation ensures critical signal-pair geometry while minimizing insulation-induced phase distortion.

RJ-45 Connectors (Directional): A gold-plated, nickel RJ-45 connector with 100% shield coverage is used on each end of the Ethernet cable. These gold-plated, nickel connectors maximize signal transfer and resist corrosion. Arrows are clearly marked on the RJ-45 connectors to ensure superior sound quality. For best results have the arrow pointing in the direction of the flow of music. For example, NAS to Router, Router to Network Player.

Customer Q&A

3 questions already asked

Q
Can I use this cable for car amplifier?
tommy  May 20, 2023
1 answer
A
This AudioQuest Pearl High-speed, low-jitter CAT-7 Ethernet cable is designed for home use only for connection of networking gear, Tommy. I would not advise using the AudioQuest Pearl ethernet cable in a car audio system. Depending on your specific setup, you could consider a high-quality RCA cable like the EFX 2-channel in the first link below or the AudioQuest Pearl toslink optical cable in the second link if your amp/processor supports optical connection. I hope this helps! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_142D12/EFX-2-Channel-RCA-Patch-Cables-12-foot.html https://www.crutchfield.com/p_703PROPT3M/AudioQuest-Pearl-OptiLink-3-meters-10-feet.html

Q
Would this ethernet cable be compatible with a home network to connect a desktop computer to a wireless router/modem? I was looking for faster internet speed and a high-quality network cable instead of the generic cable provided with the manufacturer's equipment.
