RV backup camera works great!

I have a 18-year-old RV with a very old rear back up camera. A four pin cable running from front to back. I called up and talked with Max and he took enough time to answer every question and find me a camera and monitor system that installed easily and works wonderfully using the old cable! The price was wonderful as well. I have been nothing but pleased and highly recommend Crutchfield!
Pros: I did not have to run new cable, but got to use my old cable and it works wonderfully.

Love it before I would have to go back and forth 6 or 7 times before I could get hitch in right place to hook truck to trailer now I can go straight to it first time

4 stars because there are NO instructions included on how to really install this. Absolutely not Crutchfields fault. The product itself is nice. It works well and is exactly as described!

Poor instructions

Unit works as it says it does. The instructions (1 page) just doesn't cover the instal and different configurations. Mounting the unit? That's up to you to figure out. Crutchfield tech support is excellent on most of the stuff they sell, this unit not so much. Did get it working finally after 2 days. So I guess it's a win. Installed in a Ford F-450 Superduty work truck. We will see how it holds up.

Good setup, okay design, lacking instructions

Quality of the kit is good. Nice sized screen is good for viewing detail while in motion. Camera is clear, even in the sun. Lost a star for two reasons: 1- the cable runs from the camera all the way up to the screen. There is only a two foot cable attached to the screen. When towing my travel trailer, I have to run it under my tailgate and through the cabin. A cable from the screen that reaches the back of the tow vehicle would be a lot more user friendly. 2- the instructions for installation are very lacking. It is fairly self -explanatory, but a more comprehensive manual would be nice. A minor annoyance is that the touch sensitive buttons on the screen are easy to activate, making it likely to shut off the screen while adjusting viewing angles while driving. Overall, a good purchase. I would recommend this to a friend.

Cons: Could use a redesign of the cabling, needs much better instructions in the package or online. Touch sensitive buttons are a bit too easy to activate.
