No signal

I purchased this set a few months bach. I checked each camera, and all worked. I wired the cams to be hot all the time. 2 things happened 1.lost signal to all other cams except the one I usually use and had to repair several times in order to use any of the other three.....2 drained my batteries. Each cam draws .28 amp X 4 =1.12 amp. Does take long for it to drain the batteries. So, after 3 months or so I finally had a conversation with a factory rep. Who stated the cams CAN NOT BE HOT all the time. He thinks that the cams search for a signal until they run under voltage then shut down, but the other cam always worked. I wired my cams to a switch I/O and have used them for 4 days now and they stay locked in when 12 volts is put to them. This took many discussions and a total waste of time I should have just gotten off my lazy A.. and just hard wired then in. But no audio recording or sound available for the wired set including a 4th Cam. Which I need. So here we go, so far so go.ARG. As for lock in time I see not different between wired or wireless.

Pros: easy to install

Cons: Hidden nuances no tells your for installation

Update

This is an update to my previous review. I set up the 2nd set of cameras in my truck. Everything worked fine. So I set up the first set again & it worked fine. I figured out that during the set up of the first I did not have a good ground & that's why it didn't work. So, it was my mistake.

Pros: Great picture to the monitor from all cameras. Very nice!!

Cons:

Bummer

Went to set this system up in my truck. Display monitor was no problem. Connected it to a power outlet. Started to set up the cameras before installing them to make sure they worked. Connected power to each one of the four cameras. Tried to pair them up with the monitor but not a single one would connect with the monitor. I'm going to try it again on my next day off just in case it was my error. But I don't have a lot of hope of it working because I don't believe I was in error. Not good in my opinion. Now I'll have to go through the tedious process of returning it to get my money back. Bummer!!!

Pros: None

Cons: Didn't work right out of the box.
