Product Research

Features

Overview: The Boyo VTCRH2 wireless backup camera system features a dash mounted 5" IPS LED wireless monitor and two heavy-duty wireless backup cameras, designed for installation in RVs, trucks, and boat/horse trailers. The wireless camera system operates on a 2.4GHz signal with a transmitting range of approximately 700'.

Note: The Boyo VTCRH2 is meant as a back-up aid only; never solely rely on the rear-view camera system when backing-up. In addition to using the rear-view camera, always look behind you to make sure everything is clear when backing up your vehicle.

Cameras: The VTCRH2 includes two rear-view cameras with magnetic bases, allowing them to be installed to any flat, ferrous-metal surface at the rear of the vehicle. Each camera features a 1/2.7" CMOS image sensor with a 130° diagonal viewing angle and 1280(h) x 720(v) resolution. Built-in Infrared LEDs can provide night vision behind the vehicle. The cameras carry an IP68 waterproof rating, making them impervious to weather. The cameras feature built-in 6400mA rechargeable batteries that can provide up to 18 hours of use on a full charge. Charging can be done using the included DC lighter adapter or AC power supply, and takes approximately 10 hours to fully charge. A Power button on each camera, along with 4 LEDs, can be used to activate the cameras while providing the battery charge-level. Both camera's viewing angle can be adjusted from 0˚-100˚.

Monitor: The 5" IPS LED wireless monitor features a 16:9 display with a resolution of 1024(h) x 800(v). The monitor includes two mounting brackets - a suction-cup mount and a 3M adhesive mount, allowing it to be installed on a dash or console. Both mounts feature ball-in-socket adjustments that can provide a wide range of tilt and swivel options for positioning the monitor. The wireless monitor also features a built-in sun visor. 4" adjustable antennas are provided for both the monitor and the two wireless cameras. The monitor's front-panel controls access the menu options for adjusting Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Image (reverse/normal), and Parking Guidelines activation.

Power: The VTCRH2 operates on a 2.4GHz wireless transmission between the cameras and the monitor, eliminating the need for running long video cables. The monitor requires power and ground connections to the vehicle, using either the provided 7' lighter adapter cable or one of the 6.5' hardwire cables. Two additional 6.5' power/ground hardwire cables are included for wiring the cameras into the vehicle's electrical system, if not running them on battery power.
