Waste of money, get a Rexing!

After owning this dashcam for 1 year and 11 months, all I can say is this brand is trash. After the first 2 weeks, the first camera proved to be defective, luckily Crutchfield sent me a new cam asap, but that didn't help the fact that the camera still had issues down the line. THE BAD: The camera's built-in battery stopped being able to support the power to stay on, so it relies on a constant source(plugged in). The app is cheaply made software that's impossible to transfer files from. THE GOOD: 4K video front and back. That's it. Now every time I power on the camera, its tells me to format the SD card. Non-stop error code, tried factory resetting to no prevail. Big waste of money.
Pros: 4k Video front and back
Cons: Videos use unpopular format. And the app to connect to the camera is useless.

Parking mode useless, picture quality good though

The picture is clear and there is plenty of cable length. The cord positions are awkward and the sd card is difficult to insert/withdraw as well. The biggest gripe with it is that even with collision sensitivity on the highest setting and the parking camera enabled, it did not turn on when my vehicle was hit while parked, but for some reason it will turn on when there is no movement at all.

This is a good dash cam with some minor drawbacks. The good is the picture clarity is fantastic and the screen size isn't very obtrusive. The menu isn't in any logical order, but easy enough to scroll through. The not-so-good is the microphone is very low gain. The jacks are at awkward places and may not be able to be disconnected. The wifi feature isn't well fleshed out with the app that supports it. It is a pretty easy install (I got a kit to hard wire it). My best endorsement is that I've bought two, one for each of my cars.

Very happy that I finally updated my old dashcam. It's a very nice unit so far with only a few things I am not a fan off like sometimes it will not automatically turn on after the ignition is running. The kit has enough cable to wrap around the globe from the back to the head unit. Overall, very happy.
