Great Speakers!

Recently upgraded my 7 speaker bookshelf/center/floor standing speaker system to Klipsch RP-8000F II, RP-600M II, RP-600M, & RP-504C II a few months ago and I'm definitely impressed! Was a bit trepidatious about moving to a horn design in a home theater and audio listening environment, especially given my live sound equipment that also employs horns and waveguides that can be very forward, but these speakers have been a pleasure and definitely impress. I gave them about 20 hours of break-in with various reference material before I did any critical listening and they came alive. They had a little bit of harshness at first listen, but they warmed up nicely after the break in. Very clear and articulate, especially if you give them a bit of power, and will do great with any 100w/ch amp (currently using a higher end ONKYO). EQ/setting up in the receiver is definitely worth the time and experiment with various toe-in angles to get the best image at the listening position. Watching blue-rays and streaming 4k/UHD content has been fantastic. Listening to HD music sources has been equally as impressive. Both highlighted the need to upgrade my subwoofer next (thanks Klipsch!). Build quality on the series II's is great at this price point, and you can definitely tell from the added cabinet weight and wiring changes/aesthetics that they made between series I and II (I have both in the RP-600M's - not that the originals are a slouch). Highly recommended!

At the center of it all... is the center channel!

I figured that I would take part in the incredible sale that Crutchfield was having on the Klipsch Line. Initially, I had the 404C but the sound was a little light and tinny to me. I returned it for the 504C. Crutchfield was great in the return transaction and the 504C was definitely the correct choice for me. The sound was much fuller and natural sounding and the vocals clearer. One thing about Klipsch is that they don't know the definition of compact for sure! But if size is what it takes to deliver the quality sound that they do, then I'll just make the space! Good job Klipsch and good job Crutchfield!

Game Changer

I had the smaller version of this, was too "thin" sounding for my Atmos Klipsch floor standing. Crutchfield took it back no question asked and exchanged it for this. What a game changer!!! I'm in love with it. Top product, great service and customer service unmatched. What more can a person want?!? Ok.maybe a bigger tv. LOL

Detailed movie dialogue

I am a long-time Home Theater guy. I have sought to make my non-dedicated living area a home theater space since the 90s. I went to work for an electronics store years ago and purchased, after painstakingly selecting speakers, what I believed were the best sounding speakers; and we carried a lot of them. I had Infinity Overtures mains w/the subs in the bottom and used Interludes for satellites and an IL36C for the center. Super realistic speakers. The overtures failed in 2021 and I replaced them with Klipsch R 624 Atmos. Fast forward to 2025. I recently ordered the Klipsch RP-504C to mate with the 624s and I am amazed at the "in your face" sound of the new center channel. Very crisp and realistic. I have a Denon AVR-X4800H and the sound is excellent. Thank you, Mitch, at Crutchfield for your advice and confirmation of a good choice.

The perfect center channel!

What a huge difference from a standard sound bar. The voice and center based sounds are so clear and the bass sounds being deeper much more richer.

Worth the upgrade

This sounds great for dialogue and other sounds. I had the Klipsch Reference R-52C for a couple years. After having this new speaker for a week, it definitely sounds better. This speaker can carry the movies by itself whereas the older speaker had to depend a little bit on the other speakers to produce all the sounds.

Great sound, amazing customer service

Excellent center speaker. I replaced my Bose Acoustimass 10 center speaker with this one, and the clarity of voices improved 100%. No more subtitles needed!! I also need to emphasize the quality of Crutchfield's customer service. They are totally dedicated to customer satisfaction. I will definitely buy from them again.

504CII

Upgraded from Klipsch 450C model with 5 1/4 woofers to 504CII. Had to readjust sound level. Does seem cleared and less distortion. Thought break in idea was a myth, but just like the 450C the 504CII sounded better after a week. Was a noticeable difference and some was subtle that noticed when listening to music or movies again. Klipsch 450C was great and I wondered if the 504CII would be enough of a difference to warrant to upgrade. So far yes. Using with Onkyo TX NR7100 AV receiver and original Reference Premier speakers 600M Right/Left, 502S surround, 500M back surround and 500S height, SPL-120 sub.

Like all speakers, tuning is extremely important. This speaker out of the box sounded "OK" but not what I would consider fantastic. After DIRAC and then tweaking my AVR settings it really brought out the charm of this speaker. The best way I can describe its characteristic is a very calm midrange that doesn't sparkle the treble to provide clarity. It's just a very warm, more natural tone which is exactly how a center should sound. Again, tune your entire system and don't run 80hz on everything. Onkyo specifically sets the crossover at 60hz for this speaker. I compared it at 80hz and reverted the change. Tune each channel to properly convey what's meant to be heard through the channel and your whole system will act as a buttery smooth unit at any volume.

Great clear speaker

I went from an Axiom Audio VP150 to this speaker. I was finally able to turn off the subtitles for a show I was watching and hear everything clearly which to me earns a 5 star rating. I will say though that I balanced my room for the first time using Dirac Live so that might have made a difference as well (especially if you saw the before and after pictures).

BLOWN AWAY

After 2 years of frustration with problem laced 1200 sound bar, originally purchased from Crutchfield replaced once by the great folks at Crutchfield, replaced 2 more times from Klipsch, Klipsch sent me their 5.1 Atmos speaker system and a Onkyo receiver as a replacement, very good budget system with good surround sound, however a little weak on vocal, invested in the 504cii center channel to replace weak kit center speaker, only words can come up with is BLOWN AWAY!!!!!!! there is just no comparison with any center channel I have ever heard regardless of brand! the vocals even set at 0 are clear and easy to understand, been able to discontinue closed caption, literally the actor or actress speaking during movie sounds like standing in front room talking to you! but be aware this center channel is huge and heavy and a little planning might need to take place for install. after a week of use still blown away with precise vocals, playing music is yet another surprise in quality sound.! my relationship with Klipsch has been a love hate situation with the 2 years of dealing with Klipsch service over the worst product ever offered in the cinema 1200 sound bar racked with so many design flaws I still question how or why it was released to the public. but with regular contact and Klipsch recorded or printed everything said with service in a calm way all the way up to the CEO of Klipsch, my faith in the company along with this outstanding center channel speaker is restored! ENJOY!!

Had older JBL and the sound quality was really clean and pure. My new Klipsch blows it out of the water. Sound quality is like day and nite. Pair it with sister speakers and you'll be a happy camper.

Wanted to like it but it didn't have the clarity I was looking for and probably was not a good match for my audio surround sound system. It may still work for others but I decided to that I needed to upscale higher to another system all together. Long story. I returned the speaker. Thanks CRUTCHFIELD for giving us the options to try out to either like or return.

Reference Premiere Aptly Named

This was actually a post-purchase (Klipsch tower speakers) consideration, given my wife has growing issues with hearing dialogue clearly without boosting my older, but excellent Infinity center speaker as much as possible and her still having difficulty. I figured this would help her issue, and would also nicely complement the Klipsch towers. Better than expected! All these Klipsch were definitely made to complement each other as advertised. And my wife just loves the dialogue clarity now, and I have just become a Klipsch fan now after all these years of JBL, Infinity, Bose, et. al.

Incredible Center Channel

First and foremost, Crutchfield delivers outstanding customer service. Speaker arrived when expected in perfect condition. I upgraded from the RP-500c. What an outstanding center channel. Movie dialogue is crystal clear with good dispersion and wider front stage. Music sounds amazing. I hooked up, ran room correction and then manually set distance, level, and crossovers. I played Nothing compares to u Chris Cornell unplugged version. The sound was incredible and his voice haunting. After hours of research I'm glad I chose this center, and, bought it through Crutchfield. All I can say is if your hesitating, pull the trigger and buy it, you'll have no regrets!!

Nice Upgrade!

Brilliant

Previous recent personal experience with these centers: Emotiva C2, Bowers HTM6, Klipsch R-52c and an older Polk entry level model. This RP center is by far my preference compared to all the others I've heard in my room. Detailed and accurate with subjectively (not measured) mildly "boosted" lower mid range (which I really like). It makes me curious about the RC 64-C..

RP 504C II

I was having issues with hearing certain dialogue and nuances through the two previous center channels I experimented with (polk r350 and wharfdale diamond 12c) for my secondary system. The 504C II is much larger than the other two and I do hear the dialogue better. But the other two definitely had better dynamics when playing music through the front 3 speakers in a movie (the wharfdale sounded a little better than the polk). Where you can tell klipsch cut corners is the lack of bracing of the box. When you rap your knuckles on the wharfdales or polks there is sort of a thud sound, but when you do that to the klipsch there is a hollow sound. I'm guessing klipsch does not do extensive bracing in their lower models at all. I am using the klipsch F300's currently for left and right (that will be my next thing to replace) and they have the same hollow almost echo sound. The 504C II is a very good center channel for most people, but if you are into any music playing in the movie or show you are watching, you may want to try another brand.

Excellent Center

Replaced my RC-52 II with this to better match my RF-82 II. Seems to timbre match very well. Although the RC-52 II was a very good "starter" center, the RP-504C II blows it away. The dialog from this center is outstanding and very clear...especially male voices. It's a large speaker, but it is very capable and an outstanding value! Minus a couple items, everything in my HT (all my Klipsch speakers, Panasonic DP-UB820 4K BluRay, Denon X4700H) is from Crutchfield! Couldn't be happier with my system sound for the price!

This is an awesome speaker

Had to upgrade our receiver after 16 years so had to get a new center speaker! This Klipsch center speaker is awesome! The sound quality is amazing. The highs and the lows come out of it crisp and clean. We are running a Denon 4700H receiver to all of our new speakers and they all sound amazing. So we are putting some power into all of them including this one. When you are listening to music or watching a movie, it feels like you are in the movie or at a concert in the front row. I am very pleased with this Klipsch center speaker and its performance. It even looks sexy. Klipsch has always been the speaker I have wanted for a long time. And now I have my wish come true.

Up to the Task

Upgrade from Klipsch VF series. Old one was 12+ years old with 2 drivers and a tweeter. This big unit has 4 drivers and a titanium tweeter. It's by far the biggest upgrade in my setup compared to my old. I am now starting to see how the center speaker is truly the most important speaker in a setup. This speaker is up to the task to be the most important speaker in the setup. Voices coming across the center channel sound like the person is in the room. And I am noticing how many more sound effects come across the center channel. A great speaker!
