Almost perfect

Beautiful speaker! It gives a dignified look to my office, and looks great on the shelf! I would like a fuller sound, since I use this as my office speaker, and I control music from my computer. Not a bad choice if you are looking for a stylish compact speaker.

Missing that classic Klipsch Sound

This large, heavy speaker seems very well built, but the sound quality is disappointing. The voice sounds muffled, and it really sounds like it's coming out of a box. It has good bass, and it really carries when played outside - and if that were the main intended use I'd probably give it higher marks. I have had Klipsch speakers in the past and was hoping for that same quality sound - it had some elements of that sound, but to me it just doesn't have a premium sound.

So glad I got this over another JBL

Wow, this thing is a beast! Excellent, build quality, got some half to it without feeling excessively heavy,, but you're not here to hear about the physicality of this thing, are you? The sound is incredible. And this thing really can ramp up. I'm using it around the house for the most part at about a 1/4 to 1/3 of the max volume, and this thing is pumping. I haven't had a chance to use it outside yet, but that's one of the reasons why we got it as well: to use when we go camping or to festivals. Definitely the best portable speaker I've ever owned, and really impressed with the quality overall. I'm hoping it lasts the 20 hours battery life like it says it does!

My new backyard music source

Had our first backyard gathering with the new Klipsch Detroit last night. Worked great for background music via TIDAL at low volume. Only complaint is that I wish the volume level increases/decreases were smaller per click. One was a bit too low for me and the next too high - at least, according to my wife.

Great On The Go Speaker!

Klipsch Detroit is a great speaker. It is a little bigger and heavier than expected but still a good size. The sound is clear, detailed, and smooth. It is loud enough. The quality and looks are top notch. The Klipsch app is nice and easy to use for setup, registration, and controls. The Klipsch app has an equalizer to customize the sound. The app is not required. The speaker also works well with music streaming controls. Main use will be in different rooms around the house, kitchen and bedroom mainly. The 24 hour battery and waterproof rating will also be nice for using outdoors.

Worth the $

Outstanding good bottom end not deep but good maybe a tad to bright with normal settings. It's worth the 300 bucks! You won't be disappointed

Amazing Bluetooth

Recently purchased the Klipsch Detroit, the music quality is outstanding! Having had previous experience with Sony and JBL, I was unexpectedly surprised by the quality of sound and the build of the unit. I would highly recommend this Blue Tooth over the competitors in this class range. Sound is amazing! thank you Klipsch Detroit, job well done.

Purchased this to use outside when we are at our camper. First listened to it out in the garage and thought it sounded good but not great (probably not the greatest listening environment) . Took it to the camper and gave it a listen outside, and then I was impressed. Clean, full sound with plenty of distortion free volume. Klipsch provides an app to control the unit. Maybe in the future Klipsch can proved an update to a 7 band EQ rather than the 3 band it currently provides one the app.

solid; useful equalizer

I bought this to replace a stolen JBL. I figured if people were going to steal them anyway, I may as well get the flashy Klipsh one. Very solid build. Heavy. A little tinny but it's so small . . . and the software equalizer can compensate for that.

Detroit is a home run!!

Just got my Klipsch Detroit yesterday, and all I can say, it exceeded all my expectations. This thing sounds awesome. It's like having your high end stereo system in a box.
