In-ceiling bass for your commercial space
The Klipsch IC-SW-8T2 helps you round out your in-ceiling commercial sound system with powerful bass. Its 8" woofer and 8" passive radiator work together to eliminate distortion and turbulence. This passive sub connects to your 70-volt system without a transformer — a simple diagram on the terminal strip shows you how to wire for 30- or 60-watt power handling, and 4- or 8-ohm impedance.

Features
Overview: The Klipsch IC-SW-8T2 is an in-ceiling subwoofer featuring an 8" woofer driver along with a passive radiator housed in a steel backcan. Engineered for music reinforcement applications, the speaker features two wattage settings for transformerless 70, and 100 volt operation along with both 4Ω and 8Ω bypass connection terminals.
Driver: The IC-SW-8T2 features an 8" woofer and an 8" passive radiator, both with polypropylene cones and rubber surrounds. The woofer driver incorporates a high-temperature voice coil, while the bandpass design allows increased bass output without the turbulence and distortion often present in ported designs. The speaker's high sensitivity and power handling offer extended powerful bass from a small system.
Enclosure: The IC-800-T is housed in a steel backcan with an ABS front baffle. The bandpass enclosure design helps provide deeper, fuller bass with less compression and distortion while adding musicality with a bass response down to 50 Hz (-4 dB). The speaker includes a powder coated aluminum-mesh grill that can be painted to match the room color. The IC-800-T enclosure carries both UL2043 and UL1480 certifications.
Mounting: Installation of the speaker is done blind-mount using a rotating cam mounting system. Four cam-assemblies come pre-mounted around the perimeter of the speaker, and once the speaker is slid into the ceiling opening 4 Phillips-head screws on the front of the speaker are tightened, expanding out the mounting arms providing tension on the backside of the mounting surface. The IC-800-T requires a 12.5" diameter cutout and at least 12.625" of mounting depth. They can also be installed in drop-ceilings using the included tile bridge mounting hardware. An additional attachment point is provided on the back of the speaker for a safety line.
70/100 Volt: The IC-800-T offers two wattage settings, for transformerless 70 or 100 volt operation with up to 120 watt power handling, and includes tap settings and wire terminals for 4Ω or 8Ω operation. A tap selection dial on the front of the speaker baffle allows for easy switching of wattages with the following tap settings:
- 70 Volt: 30W, 60W, 4Ω, and 8Ω
- 100 Volt: 60W, 120W, 4Ω, and 8Ω
Terminals: A 4-terminal barrier strip is provided for wiring connections. One pair of terminals is used for either a 70 or 100 volt connection, one set of terminals is used for a 4Ω mono connection, while two pairs of terminals get used for an 8Ω stereo connection. Each terminal can accommodate speaker wire up to 12 gauge in size. A metal cover-plate with cable-clamp are provided to protect the terminal strip.
