Features
Overview: The OnQ Legrand HT2302KWH is an In-Wall Power and Cable Management TV Connection Kit for new construction and retrofit installations. The recessed connection box lets you hide power and A/V cables behind the TV for a clean, professional look. The box includes a standard one-gang junction box, a tamper-resistant duplex outlet, a cable access brush plate, a removable trim ring, cutting template, and installation hardware.
Installation Overview: The TV Connection Kit can be installed in new construction or for retrofit situations:
- Electrical Cable: Run 14/2 in-wall electrical wire between the studs to the included duplex receptacle (125V-15A) mounted in the junction box inserted in the TV Connection box. The receptacle can power the TV and one additional component (soundbar, streaming device, etc.).
- A/V Cables: The low-power A/V cables can be run behind the wall, or using flexible conduit attached via the concentric knockout rings on the back of the box. The opening for the cables is covered by the included cable access brush plate.
- New Construction: The connection box can be attached to a wood stud using the two included 2-3/8" wood screws. Once the electrical and A/V cables are routed, the included trim ring can be installed over the connection box. If desired, you can further secure the box by tightening the four drywall clips over the drywall (supports up to 1" thick drywall).
- Retrofit Installation: After locating the wall studs, the installation location should be marked by tracing around the included cutting template. After making the proper cutout, you can insert the connection box and secure it with the trim ring and the four drywall clips on the box.
Tools Needed: Installation requires the following tools:
- Tape measure
- Level
- Stud finder
- Pencil
- Drywall saw
- Phillips screwdriver
- Slotted screwdriver

This worked great. I used it to add an outlet in the wall behind my Boldr Kelvin heater and was able to push the excess power cord into the wall through the conduit opening making a cordless appearance for the appliance.
