Every home theater or music system deserves solid bass, but not every room has the space for a large self-powered sub. That's where in-wall subwoofers, like Nuvo's NV-SUBIWDUAL8, can come in handy. This subwoofer delivers precise bass while hiding discreetly inside your wall.
This in-wall sub uses two 8" high-output subwoofers to deliver low-end thump. The woofers are enclosed in a non-resonant MDF cabinet to cut down on unwanted vibration inside and behind your walls. Despite having a wooden backbox, the sub is only a little over 4" in depth.
Separate amp required
The 8" woofers are passive and require external amplification. For the best results, you'll want to grab Nuvo's NV-SUBAMP500 amplifier. The SUBAMP500 is a mean machine in its own right, boasting an impressive 250-watt power output into 8 ohms, front-mounted screen, EQ options, and much more.

In-Wall Dual 8" Passive Subwoofer: The Legrand Nuvo NV-SUBIWDUAL8 is an in-wall passive subwoofer with two high-output 8" cone woofers that deliver discrete, powerful bass for music and home theater applications. Pair up to two NV-SUBIWDUAL8 subwoofers with one of the Nuvo subwoofer amplifiers (NV-SUBAMP200 or NV-SUBAMP500 - both sold separately). The NV-SUBIWDUAL8 can also be used with other bands and models of subwoofer amplifiers (sold separately).
Sealed MDF Cabinet: The Nuvo NV-SUBIWDUAL8 features an acoustic suspension (sealed) cabinet that is constructed of durable MDF with an aluminum frame for a distortion-free, superior bass experience. A rectangular magnetic, steel white grille is included (the grille is paintable).
Spring Post Terminals: The NV-SUBIWDUAL8 is outfitted with a set of spring post terminals that will accept bare wire (up to 12AWG) and pin-connectors. Due to the location and angle of the spring post terminal, banana plugs (single or dual) are not supported.
Mounting Options: The NV-SUBIWDUAL8 passive subwoofer requires a rectanglular cutout in the wall that measures 12.0" (w) x 19.875" (h) x 4.125" (d). Six swivel "dog-leg" clamps with integrated mounting screws around the enclosure secure the speaker in the wall. There needs to be at least 0.8125" of clearance around the inside of the cutout to accommodate the swivel "dog-leg" clamps. The "dog-leg" clamps will accommodate up to 1.5" drywall thickness.
